Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information

I received my Ariel yesterday as well! :)

She is the lowest numbered doll I own...#277.

The doll is super-gorgeous and looks absolutely perfect...the ONLY thing is there is a small white scratch-like line on the inside of the clear plastic cover right near Ariel's face. I was able to scratch most of it off with my fingernail but there is still a little left (I didn't want to scratch too hard and mess up the cover).

Has anyone cleaned the plastic cover successfully? I didn't want to use anything on it (like Windex or something) without knowing what it would do...

It wouldn't bother me as much if it was near the bottom of the cover or on the side, but it is right near her face so I would really like to remove it if possible, and I don't think this small scratch warrants returning the doll and going through all of the hassle that goes along with that LOL.
 
I know people are calling for calm, but if you didn't receive any e-mail and feel something is wrong, contact Disney Store. I found tracking number on my order history, so I have been tracking my package through USPS. I knew something was wrong yesterday when the package went up to Maryland. When I checked this morning, it said the package had gone to Arlington and was undeliverable. I live closer to the bottom of Va. Arlington is at the top. Basically, a three hour trip to get to Arlington. I know that Disney has my correct address because I ordered the King Fergus doll with Ariel; I received him back in August.

Anyway, just got off the phone with Disney Services. I can only hope she isn't a mess after all the extra bouncing around with the USPS. I think when it comes to the 17" dolls, as I stated in previous post, I am cursed. I have never received one yet without complications. Is the universe trying to tell me something?

Same! I got number 203 and my DFDC Rapunzel and Flynn were 2429 and my Cinderella was 2442! I was not exepecting a low LE #.


I have the same scratch by her face. :(

For those of you that have received her, have you noticed the small white beads (pearls) on her shell belt? Some have two beads, some have one, and a few don't have any beads at all. Just thought this was odd and noticed a variation in the beads between dolls. I thought some beads came off/got loose in the box and I started freaking out.
 
 
I pre-ordered my Ariel doll in the store because I absolutely hate the UPS people. One time I ordered a BJD from Korea which took a little over two months to be made and then when it was done and shipped out, the day it was supposed to come, the UPS guy practically skipped my house. Even though I knew it was going to come the next day I was so angry at the UPS person. I wasn't able to wait for the package myself but both my parents were home WITH THE DOOR WIDE OPEN and a few people working outside on the lawn. The lazy UPS guy just wrote a note about how no one was home and threw it in front of our door. I never ordered anything online again.
 
@Disneygirl333, since you already deboxed your Ariel doll, could you tell us how the stand works on her? Does the tail has a hole where the stand can be attached? So curious about that ever since I saw the leaked photos.

The stand just goes around her waist. Mine is still in the box so I can't take a picture right now. :wiggle:

I got my Ariel yesterday! She is number 551. I'm leaving her in box. But boy I kinda want to brush her hair and play lol.

It was through the Disney Store. Select stores did the pre-orders as well as the Disney Store online. The doll sold out in 2 days. Some of the people that ordered her online received her, those who ordered her in a store can pick her up starting Oct. 1st.
 
I really can't believe that some people already have Ursula and Eric listed for sale on Ebay. I get that people have the right to sell whatever they please and that's fine and I am even used to the fact that people put collectible items up for pre-sale, but some of these sellers claim to have the dolls in hand! That is where to me it gets ridiculous. Here we are stressing and hoping that we get the dolls that we want at retail price because we want them for our collection and people already have the doll, how? Someone made an argument that everyone has a fair shot at getting the dolls and I expressed that this was not necessarily true because of how many people these crazy re-sellers use in order to get multiple dolls for sale, but having the dolls in hand even before the doll is on sale is not a fair shot at all! This truly brakes my heart, we are already a couple of dolls short in being able to obtain these dolls while other people have them and they don't even care about the actual dolls. :cry:

I definitely agree with you there, I guess what really is frustrating is the fact that they wont even give people the change to get the dolls at retail. Like you said they are assuring people that they are able to deliver the doll. Which means one of two things, either a) the person is just over confident and believes it will be easy for them to get the doll or the more disheartening truth b) that the person is in fact a cast member and has access to the dolls.

Either way I am just hoping that everyone here that wants the doll is able to get her! Only a few more days to go! Good luck everyone!
