Indeed, the wait is horrid when you pre-order the set! Luckily, we have had a lot of nice (and expensive) distractions in the meantime: LE dolls for The Little Mermaid, the Frozen dolls (LE and non), lots of brilliant discussions here on DPF, and (inexpensive) for fans of the TV shows: the new season of OUAT and the new series OUAT: Wonderland (...or any other TV series that one might be interested in! In addition to those two, I am also following the new seasons of Downton Abbey and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries.).

My doll set pre-order has shifted from just the printed tracking label to "in transit" status with a scheduled delivery of Tuesday, October 15th! So that means that if all goes well, I will be able to enjoy all of my DFDC dolls at the same time as the people who are getting DFDC Ariel & Prince Eric in-store. That means that people who live closer to Tennessee who ordered the pre-order doll set should be receiving them sooner! UPS does work on Monday (Colombus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day). According to the UPS website, UPS does not take off all of the standard postal holidays that the US Postal Service observes. Otherwise, my doll set pre-order would be scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, October 16th.

I really look forward to how the doll set pre-orders pan out. Will they all be the same CoA numbers? Will they be the lower sequences?

Oh yay! thanks for the info about UPS working through Colombus day, because mine just printed today I am assuming it wont update to "in transit" until tomorrow, because if yours took a whole day for it to update then I wouldn't be surprised if mine will too. But because it is getting shipped to the East coat hopefully it will get there by Monday which means that if it does I will be able to get it sent to me to arrive before next weekend! So excited!! I would feel so much better when the labels have transitioned to the "in transit" stage.

From past experience with the Villains, they will all have the same number. My villains set was in the low 200s,but I don't know if that applies to other full sets. It is pretty cool to have dolls with the same COA number.
 
My tracking status just updated from the label to in transit, says it is expected to get in on Friday which means if I am lucky enough I might be able to get the dolls by Monday! Yay so excited! Gosh I have my fingers crossed in the hope that everything will arrive on time so that I can get them shipped out straight away. If it all goes well I should be getting an influx of dolls on Monday! Yay
 
Yay! they will arrive Friday. I'm soooo happy didn't have to wait over the weekend it's so cruel when it happens lol. My sister and I can't wait hehe... so nervous to see them and hopefully know they're fine :). 2 days still seems like a long wait hahaha....

Which means that getting this designer set shipped to me is probably going to cost me a little over $200 :( Gosh I wish I lived in the US!

I feel your pain! I almost ordered the set to avoid having to deal with getting each doll individually, but remembering how much I would have to pay for shipping stopped me. I had to order LE Ariel online from the states and by the time shipping and duties are added, I'm paying about $170 for her. Which is just $30 shy of another LE doll...

But at least the dolls are beautiful and I'm sure you will enjoy them very much.

Thanks Coraline, I know what you mean, it is costly but I know I will love the dolls when they get in, hopefully if both my designer set shipment is on time it will get in by Friday and i can ship it out straight away. The odd thing is that the doll set is in transit but the designer bags look like they are still at the warehouse because the status for them has not changed yet. So I may be getting the bags later than the actual dolls themselves. But that doesn't worry me as I am more excited to get the dolls.

I just noticed that because this set is an odd numbered set it will mean it will be trick trying to display these dolls properly, then again if you include the D23 exclusives this would be an even set at 6 but the princess set would be uneven at 11. It just means that even if I was to stack them there would be one outlier doll :P

Ohh the joy of first world problems :P LOL

Hi Shiva, with your two tracking numbers (one for the bags and the other for the dolls) do they both say they are in transit? because for me only the dolls have changed to in transit, so just wondering if the designer bags would be included in that and that the other tracking number is just a dud? I just think that it is odd that the designer bags are still saying shipping label printed but not in transit even though the dolls have. Also just to put it in perspective I ordered some other stuff from Disney and received the Blast off email about 3-4 hours later than the one about the dolls and yet that shipping label has just changed to in transit as well, even though I received the tracking details for the bags way earlier. So you would assume the bags would have gone out first before my other other and yet they did not. Hence why I am wondering if the bags are in the same box as the dolls? Or are they actually separately shipped?

I liked them from the original pics, even when it mistakenly appeared that they were same height, and seeing them in person just blew me away. I think, in particular, I am fascinated with Beast. Definitely see what people meant by "pics don't do justice; must see in person." The hollow hair area is a bit weird, but I don't see it when he is on display, so who cares. Hope you love them! And if you don't, you can get a pretty penny for them on secondary market. How cool is that.

yeah I went back and forth on ordering them and decided to go for it. They are in my city now, so out for delivery tomorrow.

I really love this entire collection and think this is the most beautiful Belle doll they've ever created. BUT Beast's floating head really bugs me. I'm not sure what they could've done about it without sending production costs through the roof, though, so I can look past it--or at least try not to think about it. It's so weird that you can look under his chin and see inside his head. I realize the solution is to display them low enough you can't see it, but these dolls were on display up high in the store, and it looked pretty stupid.

I pick up my set on Friday, so I'll know soon enough if he'll look okay in my display. I guess instead of complaining I should just be happy I managed to get a set online after the raffle eluded me.

My DFDC bags tracking number is also stagnant. The same thing happened with the Designer Villains doll set pre-orders: the dolls shipped (with the one gift bag that was provided with the set in that box), and the tracking number for the one bag that was generated at the same time as the doll set pre-order never went anywhere. Ultimately, I really want the dolls and the odd number of couples doll cases does leave extra room in the box for the five gift bags that are supposed to come with this year's collection.

I am the same in that I do prefer the dolls over the bags and am not too worried about it but I just wanted to know if my inbox at my forwarding address will have any more packages to come because after this designer set I was just going to have the Frozen LE's delivered to me directly so I wanted to make sure that there would be nothing else sitting in my forwarding address inbox after I have the dolls forwarded. Hence why I was wondering if the bags were separate or not, but by the sounds of things that tracking number is a dud, I did find it odd that they would ship the bags separately instead of just including it in the box with the complete set of dolls in there. As I cant imagine that the bags take up much space? Either way cannot wait for them all to arrive! LOL Thanks for clarifying that!
 
My order too has a "shipping label has been created" for the package that's just the bags while the dolls are now officially in transit. It does seem weird that the bag package is listed at two whole pounds (there's NO way they weigh that much) but it turns out they'll probably just be slotted in the doll box between the sets of dolls, which makes the most sense. I also had the same thing happen with the villains last year, separate tracking number for the one gift bag but the bag was in the box with the whole doll set. My order is due to arrive at the shipping depot on Wednesday so hopefully there will be no delays and I can make the hour drive to pick them up then!

And I realllllly hope those of us who ordered the whole set get them all intact and without defects!

With the bags, my BATB one came with my doll but I didn't get one for Jasmine & Aladdin so still waiting on my response from Disney store. I really like the bags, I can't remember did we have them last time round in 2011? I like them because I've store all my 2011 dolls in our attic bedroom still in their delivery boxes but this years I can put in the pretty gift bags.

I cant believe it's been 2 years since dollmagedon part 1 - the last dolls all came out on my birthday so we had to make a 6 hour round trip to London and only came back with 2 but I was lucky to get the rest online. I remember us all saying we would look back and probably laugh well yes it does make me giggle a bit how crazy all that was!
 
Can someone who pre ordered the set take a picture of ALL the sets in the delivery box when it arrives? Just because I think it will look like heaven haha, such a big box from the DS :P.

I hope that they do send you the missing gift bag for your DFDC Aladdin & Jasmine. This year's gift bags are so much better than last year's Designer Villains bags (which were not terrible, but they were also not very memorable). In 2011, you could only get the gift bags if you bought the doll in-store. They did not send any if you bought the dolls online. :( That was one of the many complaints that the Disney Store received that year.

In hindsight, the 2011 Dollmageddon does seem like a distant and crazy memory. For some real giggles when you have time, I recommend re-reading our old 2011 Designer Princess discussion threads here on DPF. :p

I will certainly take pictures of mine, though I am sure that those who live closer to the DS distribution warehouse may beat me to the punch. :)

My sister pre-ordered the set, I can ask her to take a picture :) I think the box will look like Christmas came early! She told me it weighs 25lbs!!

yes!! Thanks for asking this. I was curious myself. The box must be HUGE!!

Belle should be here within the hour. My UPS guy always comes at the same time around 3PM. Cant wait to get them!
 
Belle is here! So happy I ordered, they are beautiful. I really want Beast's coat for myself. My only issue is that they look so crowded in there. Belle's hair on both sides of her, and her dress are just pushed/smooshed against the case.

I might open them up later and take out that plastic wedge. I took out for Rapunzel/Flynn and it looks way better. That way Belle's hair can just be unleashed and let it flow freely behind her. I just dont have the patience to deal with it right now.
 
I got my BatB from another Disney Store, which mailed it to me. They filled the large box with tissue paper. I love them for taking care.

Now, I had posted in the other thread about damage to boxes, and, yes, this BatB box got a bit of damage. I think that when the put the cover over the plastic box, they oopsed, and the label (front and center) got banged. Yes, it's visible. Yes it's damage. But they had done everything they could to even get me this and package it well. I cannot be upset beyond a slightly sad "ohhhhh." The boxes direct from Disney, though, could use some insulation and padding, since it's being marketed as a collectible.

Lol lucky you! I got my delivery confirmation too. I am trying to get it shipped to me today from my forwarding address, so scared that it's going to cost me an arm and a leg but if I get it done today then I'll have it by Monday! So excited. You will definitely have to take photos and post them if you get a chance!
