Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
I guess I am tired of the "daring princess". Not that I want her to be a damsel in distress, but we have had daring princesses a lot recently. It would be cute for her to have a more hesitant or neurotic nature.

So... something kinda interesting. For anyone who remembers watching the clip we got of Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf fleeing from Marshmellow and jumping off the cliff, here is a newly released clip with that same scene.
http://news.moviefone.com/2013/10/29/frozen-preview/
But, interestingly, there are definite differences from the version I remember. Anna isn't nervous at all about the leap- in fact she's excited. And she doesn't do the cute little "He's coming...." The intonation in "what if we fall" is also different.

Here's the only original version I could find: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZAMwB7jCSg

I personally thought the first version was better. More... panicky? And I thought Anna was cuter. Here she reminds me a lot of Vanellope with her "I was born ready" stuff. The first version seemed pretty finalized too, so I think it's a little odd that the scene changed so much.

She reminds me a bit of Vanellope too, yeah, but in my opinion, it suits her. Only thing that's weird is that, in the original scene, Olaf calls: "Hey Anna, Kristoff, we totally lost Marshmellow", and in the new one he says "Hey Anna, Sven....". Is Sven even present in this scene? Pretty weird, I hope they edit that if Sven is indeed not in the scene at all.

theres another clip somewhere which will explain why he says sven :)

I do agree that I do like the original clip based on Anna's attitude but the one change I do like is the look of the giant snowman Marshmallow. He changed from a hairy snow beast to more of an ice monster, they even added icicles to him which Olaf hangs off which is pretty cool.

Cant wait for the movie to come out I'm glad that they are still refining it up to now, I have a feeling this will be another of Disney's classics. I see it as being the potential Oscar winner for Best Animated Movie over Monsters U. I was a bit disappointed last year when Brave won the Oscar over Wreck It Ralph, I just thought Wreck it had a better story, more likeable characters and even did better with the critics which is why I was surprised when it lost the Oscar to Brave. But then again I was just glad that it was Disney that won the best animation Oscar as they seem to dominate that category.

Ooh I just found this. It must be the original although the filtered one is very nice :)

Either version works for me. They've sort of set up Anna in the footage I've seen as someone awkward but headstrong. The former sets up a bit more generically; with her being nervous and set against it and then the joke being her forgetting all that and going at the first sign of danger. The second has her ready to do anything to escape and the tree part is more a joke against the unprepared Kristof. The new clip is greatly shortened too.

While overall, I think the last scene "fit" better, I definitely like the new Anna much better. You have to remember that the original Snow Queen fairytale was a female-dominated fairytale with really strong female heroines and characters. I felt like the last scene made Anna seem very much like a damsel in distress who needed the strong man (Kristoff) to figure out how to get out of the situation.

This new rendition almost makes it seems like Anna is the more daring of the two, like without Kristoff, she could actually survive so I think it shows a much stronger role for her which I like, since I want Anna to be the lead hero (or heroine) of the group, not Kristoff.

It's so lovely isn't it ^_^! The filtered one is one I edited for my disney tumblr blog  I should really have posted this one instead!! Hehe! I love her so much! She's just effortlessly beautiful..

And just look at the detail in her dress (having an animation student need moment) it's just so beautifully designed. The details are just breath taking haha!

There's another high res image of her and elsa and the details in the fabrics on their dresses is amazing!

I will have to post it Tommorow when I'm not on my phone  or if anyone wants to see it before then I posted them on my blog daily-disney-dreaming.tumblr.com and stitch kingdom also posted them :)!

Apologies then. I wasn't aware it was an image you'd edited when I took it from this thread for my signature. I can swap it out for the unfiltered version if you'd like.

So I messaged Disney Store UK on Facebook asking about the LE Dolls release date and this is what they said:

2:30pm

Disney StoreWhilst there is currently no more information regarding the Limited Edition Frozen dolls, Jennifer, please do continue to check back at our Facebook page for any exciting updates!

 was worth a shot! :P

I wouldn't call Anna daring, the better word would be impulsive. Another example is in the trailer when she's on the boat with Hans. "This is awkward. Not your awkward; just...we're..I'm...awkward, you're gorgeous. Wait, what?"

I think I need these in my life haha... Anyone here who bought them that can show us more pictures of them? :)

Saw these in person and both myself and my fiance laughed at them a lot. Unlike that picture they have super wonky eyes. Every one of them at my store were bordered on cross-eyed but just far enough away from fully cross-eyed that it was just crazy looking.

Im confused. are toddler dolls the same as the animator dolls?

The toddler dolls sold at DS are the same as the Animators dolls. Merida kept the same face mold but her dress changed when she was added to the animators line this year.

The toddler dolls sold at JCP are not the same. They are the same as the toddler dolls sold at the Disney Store Outlet. Small, cute but not nearly as individualized or super mega-awesome as the Animators in my opinion. ;) Also the price difference isn't enough for me to consider them.

Target/ToysRUs etc also carry a similar line by Jakks. The only Bonus with these is they included Princes. (Naveen, Flynn, Charming and Eric) I had to have the Flynn so my fiance can join in on tea parties with his daughter. ;)

On the LE Disney Doll Forum someone who claims to have seen Anna said she is in her . . .

Coronation Gown!! Yippee Yay!!

Oh my gosh!! This was just mentioned on the Disney Limited Edition Dolls Facebook page. Is this possible??

Diana Tolin Hello everyone- new here but with a source on the Disney lot. He tells me they will release 4 dolls: the girls and the two young men. He says the lot will have 18 of each doll and they will go on sale on the 20th of November along with all the other disney stores. Hope this helps anyone with questions!

I only care about the sister dolls, so the guy dolls dont make me excited at all. if anything, Im just more bummed because I feel like the dolls are getting all hyped and now I wont get them.

I'm starting to feel like there are too many dolls being released in fall and winter.

Right now with how little information we have anything is possible. That is such a low amount of dolls to have available for sale as a set?? And an odd number too. Wonder if that is referring to the a store in particular? I mean elysion princess did mention that we may need to save up for more than just the two LEs so it could be possible. Either way I'm sort of over the lack of info from Disney, I'm just going to keep checking the site and the official pages like Stitch Kingdom and the Disney Store blog. I still wouldn't worry that they will sell out that fast. I still think it will take some time for them to sell out due to many reasons such as, Christmas coming around so people cannot afford the dolls, the dolls costing $100, the fact that they are characters of a forthcoming movie rather than a movie already released and the fact that there are 2,500 units which is quite a bit when you think about it. It is still more than Eric and Ursula and they sold out on 30minutes. So if anything you have at least an hour to buy them. Don't compare them to the Ariel and Eric set as they are in a completely different ball park.

Oh yes! I definitely remember Stitch Kingdom mentioning November 4th in passing on Twitter, but it seems less likely now. I'll still stay up on the 4th to check though, haha! I have no doubt I will possibly get a couple dolls, but with Ariel, Eric, Ursula, and DFDC, it seems like a lot to me. We will see!

I do not know of any guy dolls, but I wouldn't deny the possibility. If there are male dolls I'm going to flip tables because I was already having difficulty finding the funds for the ones that I DO know about.
