Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
i purposefully sought out every spoiler i could find, and ordered books just to know the story. I find it gets me more excited and atleast I get an idea if I like it but accidently finding spoilers is the worst! make sure you stay away from tumblr.

so lets here some merchandise wish lists!
im pretty simple (ish)
id like the basic dolls, frozen lip balm, the olaf towel (will be hard) and the cast exclusive shirt xD

as for pins the UK pin, paris pins, snowflake US OE and the marquee (hahahha)

what are you hoping to get?

I actually don't think the reviews are mixed. Given every movie pretty much has at least one flaw, the reviews for this movie are all pretty darn good, the thing is that they just aren't saying "Frozen is the best Disney movie ever" to confirm the high-expectations most people have for this movie. So for those going in expecting the best thing they've ever witnessed, sure they might be disappointed, but for someone like me who is trying to go in pretty ambivalent, the reviews sure are getting me pumped. It just sucks that we have a long way to go -__-
 
Right now, I just want the LE dolls and vinylmation figures. I would like to include pins but they have their own additional baggage and the sharks and some collectors are more ruthless when it comes to them.

I would love the cast exclusive shirt :lol:

Im hoping for:

12" dolls, LE Dolls, Any Snowglobes released and any ornaments that might be released!

And Pins I'd like every pin released with Anna, Elsa, Sven, Kristoff and Hans in :lol:
 
xD Hercules is the love of my life, so im happy to have a little side collection but I wont be gunning to big in trading or spending, it feels like cheating! xD so I would like the pins but if they get too pricy I can accept not getting them. good luck with your quest for the pins! I bet snowglobes would look gorgeous.

for some reason I purchased the art of frozen yesterday from amazon for 16.50 and the price rose to 20.00 today. My order went through at 16.50 but sucks for any UKers who didnt order yesterday. I cant wait to start using it to draw from.
 
Ok...so while the actual blog now says that the new "D-Day" is the 20th...does anyone think anything of note will be released tonight since the 4th was one of the speculated release days? I doubt there will be anything worth staying up for...but then again...it's been pretty much a safe bet to expect the unexpected.
 
Wow this sort of angers me a bit, the fact that they are listing it saying they have 2 when it has not even out yet and they do not even mention on their listing that they are preorders, so does that mean they have it on hand?
 
Oh my there are quite a LOT more snowflakes on Elsa's dress. :/
Irrelevant as still cannot afford anyway but I do think it's a shame there are two versions I do not hope they do this with every release now

Please, the differences aren't worth $400 more. This is frickin lunacy! If they cost that much IN STORE, can you imagine what someone else would charge on eBay?! $1000...$2000? This doll collecting is getting a bit ridicous.

That listing is great though because it provided clearer pictures of the LE 2500. I can now see that it isn't that there are no rhinestones on the regular edition, only that the LE 100 seem to have more. Elsa also has a snowflake clip on her head, while the LE 2500 has only two in her hair.

ebay listing shows this seller has 2 sets they want to sell with a start bid of 800 GBP. Good luck to them.

The set is £500 = $800 approx. Personally I think this is how the dolls should have looked in the first place, even if DS raised the price of the LE 17" dolls slightly as they have done before.
 
I'm going to go with the general opinion here- I'm not really bothered by the extra crystals, but I'm annoyed that the "normal" LE Elsa doesn't have half as much embroidery. I wouldn't buy these even if they were in the US, however. I don't think the differences are worth the price change- especially when you consider how terrible that box artwork is compared to the regular LE versions. But if Elsa were offered as a standalone version with that much additional embroidery and the same box as the normal one... I would have a hard time not buying her, even at roughly 4x the normal price.

I actually dont like them as much..... I dont like Elsas dress its over the top with snowflakes on this and i dont like their box.

Good point about the box. Is it just plain or that patterned purple? I really loved the pic in the back of the just Anna box. At least it doesn't have an awesome box to go with it, or I might be really bummed I couldn't get it.
 
I agree that these are what the regular LEs should look like but an extra £380 ($605) for some extra crystals and embroidery is beyond lunacy. I kinda feel insulted, does Disney really think we're that stupid?!
 
I do want them but it annoys me that it justakes a mockery of the whole thing. And if these are successful this no doubt be a ongoing trend?! Which is worse for us collectors!

Apparently so, and just like you said it is insulting and it just frustrates me to no end because I know I am forever going to feel like my set is not longer complete as it does not look like i will be able to get this set at all which is really disappointing. To be honest I agree with all of you in that it is excessive and not really fair of Disney but for me in my head I feel like it is just exclusive and would be awesome to include in my set so I may end up having to fork up and pay the overinflated price on ebay. It just sucks because I can afford to buy the set but just because I am not located in the country I miss out so now I have to pay over double just to get something that already doesn't seem worth it all because I need it to complete my collection. It really discourages me from wanting to continue trying to complete my collection because I dont know if I would be willing to feed the sharks and them taking advantage of my position. I could literally buy about 12 LE dolls at retail and have it shipped to me and it would still be cheaper than getting one of these exclusive set on ebay....

Its funny it would probably just be cheaper for me to fly to London myself and buy the doll rather than getting it through ebay. Just really disappointed that I am going to miss out on this. It's not really fair of Disney to release something so exclsuive without giving people a fair chance of getting the item. it should be 100 units within the UK not globally as it is not being released globally. Just so gutted and disappointed :(
