I am not 100% sure, but I think that we can expect Toddler Kristoff on the 10th, I think that an LE doll would be too soon, maybe some sort of an announcement? That may be more likely.
 
Eesh, I was in the disney store just last week and they had lots of frozen merch. I went in today to pick up the Olaf plushies I meant to get last time for my nieces, and their frozen stock was super low! =O we went ahead and ordered them the finger puppet sets each tho, as they love their princess finger puppets.

I also finally ordered the green Elsa journal. Plus my ds did have one more Elsa classic doll in stock and unjust couldn't resist - now to see where she and Anna will fit in in my room. All in all, a decent frozen questing day ^.^
 
So I can tell you that Toddler Kristoff is not the 10th, from what I know. Or at least not what I was referring to on the 10th. I never heard anything about him at work.
 
Hello everyone! Wonderful thread! I had a question - does anyone know the differences between the Disney Store Classic Hans and Kristoff and the versions sold at JC Penney's? I know from photos that the Classic Elsa and Anna Dolls have different clothing (and different bodies?), but it doesn't appear to me that the male dolls have different clothing. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance!

I came late to this Frozen scene but I love the movie soo much and especially Elsa! I ordered the Classic Elsa & Anna from Amazon at the current high prices :P Is it likely true that Disney will not make more of the Classic dolls as sold in the DS but instead make versions similar to the JC Penney's versions? Is that what typically happens?

*oops, upon further inspection of photos of the male dolls I see that Kristoff's JC Penney's outfit is different - his jacket is not fur-lined and he lacks a hat. I still wonder if the bodies are different though? *

Yet another Anna and Elsa omg! Lol..... So I suppose if u got both the 2500 LE and harrods LE, you will have a third set of Anna and Elsa dolls , WOW .......but I'm still excited

(plus it was never just the jumper and shirt in the film, she always had the cape on, except at the end, but I think that was a different dress).

I'm not saying that people don't like substance, but part of the appeal of a Disney princess is that they are quite feminine and sparkly, and Anna isn't really being shown that way in her merchandise. I wonder if she will be added into the official line-up in her coronation dress...

I think kids and adults like her better because she is the magical one. She's charming, beautiful, and magical. Plus she is the one who has the real struggle which people identify with. Anna is happy-go-lucky (although sad about the "loss" of her sister), but Elsa is different and is trying to repress who she is. She is unhappy. People see Elsa as a symbol of breaking free and learning to be yourself and find happiness. And people also love her for being the magical snow queen. Wouldn't you want to play the part of the powerful ice queen making snow, frost, and ice? So I think it is more than just her sparkly dress that is making her the more popular one. :)
 
If you work for Disney and give out info and get found out you can and will get fired. (I don't work for Disney so I don't have to worry.)

I know people that don't visit this forum that I get my info from and they say that the next LE dolls will be the Anna and Elsa and will be released around the time of the Blu-ray release.
 
Hopefully if they release a second set of L.E Frozen dolls they give them an addition size of 5000 each this time around to save people from scalpers and a 10 minute online sell out time. Its not like they wont sell eventually and god forbid Disney actually has them in stock for 1-2 weeks tops before selling out.

Okay, so let's assume (based on these last couple pages) there's going to be another wave of Frozen merch. Do you guys expect any troll toys? I really liked their design and want to see... something. I mean, I don't know what exactly, but SOMETHING. I'm a plastic collector, so I'd love to see a DAC-sized doll. I'm sure most would prefer plushies, though.

Either Disney was trying to withold spoilers or the Frozen toys have been selling so well they want to continue the cash grab. But it sounds like there might be more to add to our collections.

Wow there are some major spoilers in here in relation to the premise of the movie and if I had not seen the movie get id be pretty upset. Maybe you should warn people about it so that they know before they read it? I agree with you though about your character analysis.

the thread title has the spoiler warning in it. that makes the whole thread a "read at your own risk" type of deal.
 
France is sold out of singing Elsas, the small Elsa dolls, and Olaf plushies. Maybe not the singing one though. I regret not getting a small Elsa doll before. Still no response from Disney Store France for my damaged doll... :(

Yes but it is also titled Frozen merchandise so a bit of warning would just be nice, not saying necessary but it would be nice especially since it is a major plotline spoiler. A blanket spoiler alert isnt really fair for those that havent seen the movie but still want to keep up to date about the Frozen merchandise especially with all this hype now about a release date on the 10th of January.

I agree with you on the trolls in that Disney didnt really release much merch on then as they didnt want to reveal that they even existed, they are in none of the trailers or the posters or any merchandise to date. I guess they are a little bit of a surprise within the movie, I only found out about them from the game Free Fall as they are featured in that, but it was not too bad a spoiler as it just revealed their existence rather than how they are featured in the film.

So now I am curious. If the January 10th news is not the baby Kristoff doll release and the new LE Elsa and Anna dolls will not be released until the Blu-ray comes out which most of us pretty much figured since that has been the pattern, I wonder what can the big news of the 10th be? Perhaps an official announcement of the LE dolls? Images of the LE dolls? The suspense will drive me crazy until then....:roll:, still very exciting.
