Limited Edition 17" Collector Dolls Information
i wonder when the UK will get them, the way I read it is its a global release. but there for pre order only in america on the tenth? so maybe we will get them released without pre order at a later date?

Yeah, the overseas market should have them available on the blu-ray release date in March. It's still so weird that the UK and European Disney Stores do not offer pre-orders after all this time...

AND I read in another tread about frozen merch, and someone said uk is only getting 500 this time! The edition size is double from last time but they are really getting half of the amount now.....

It's no secret that I am not a big fan of Elsa's coronation look, but her cloak looks great! It's not quite as voluminous or long as in the film, but the embroidery makes it look so luxe. It is in Designer Queen Grimhilde's purple velvet material instead of the more magenta color, but I hated that magenta color on her anyway! :p

2014 LE Elsa (Coronation) 03 by Shivatopia, on Flickr

Also, I just realized that the connecting thread of these two dolls is that they both have gloves/mittens! The opposite side-glances for each doll as opposed to her first LE doll is interesting and can make for some really interesting mirror-like photos with the two Annas and two Elsas next to each other, and I can totally see several ways to display them all together, but I would have liked it even more if Snow Gear Anna and Snow Queen Elsa could look at each other and likewise Coronation Anna and Elsa. Each "theme" (Snow and Coronation) has them looking in the same direction, so mix-and-matching the releases to fit the theme is not going to look so good.

Wow, that is wild! I wonder why they made the decision to go back to the way they used to do it with LE 5000s (10% to the overseas market)? It's not like they did not sell like hotcakes over there, right?

Thank you everyone for posting these photos.

I think past allocations for Europe have been 500, except for the last dolls released. I believe that was true through at least the Rapunzels. My CM told me that several hundred unsold Frozen dolls were brought to the US from the UK to alleviate the mess caused by UPS software. I don't know if that is true but he gave me the correct info on this new release. He brought that up because I was saying how the UK got the Frozen exclusives and he said that was to promote their Harrods store and generally the limited dolls do not sell well outside the US.

I hope you all will be okay, although it is disconcerting to know that number, but that may have been the number before.

I'm crossing my fingers that with the 'regular' edition size of 5000, my local disneystore will get 12 of each doll like they usually do. I knew I had no hope for the first round of Frozen dolls when they said they were only getting 3-4 of each.

Still not sure if I should go for in-store or online though. I miss the days when pre-orders meant I could go after school/work and still be ok.

What lovely dolls...they look fab. Love the mittens and attention to detail...are they being sold as a 2 set boxed edition like Merida and Eleanor were before? Or is it 99.99 each!? Super excited for these, hope we all manage to get them, very odd they weren't released earlier though!!

OMG dying!! Thank you for the new pics.

Im glad its a presale too. Whew. Means card wont get charged to March and i can come up with more money to cover them. Im also happy that its a large edition size so I have a better chance.

I have to say that I think I love these two more than the previous two. But I havent seen any of them in person so Im not sure. But Im really hoping to get these, and then one day get Elsa in the blue mountain top dress, and Anna in the Coronation outfit.

Although I wish they would have done the dolls as Elsa in the blue with Anna in the snow outfit, and then both of them at the same time in their coronation outfits. Makes more sense. But whatever. They probably did it this way so we would buy all four. LOL. Which one day I will have all four of them.

Now come one LE Aurora and Phillip!!!

Love them! They are perfect! Still out of all four frozen dolls my favourite is Elsa in her snow outfit! But the coronation outfit is gorgeous too, I am very interested In snow gear Anna to go with my Elsa but need to save money and space for LE Aurora and Maleficent! I'm glad they got Elsa's correct dress colour of teal.

Guys please dont think that just because it is a preorder that your card will not be charged, I would still ensure that you have enough funds in the credit card to cover the payment of the dolls because whilst you are not charged Disney will put a hold on your card amounting to the total cost of your order. It is up to you bank's discretion if they allow this to still go through or not but the purpose of the hold is to ensure that the person placing the order has sufficient funds in their account to pay for the dolls when it comes to that point in time that they must be shipped. If your bank does not allow the hold to go through due to insufficient funds your order will decline.

I know this for a fact because I had contacted the Disney Store specifically about this and they told me exactly how the process goes because I used a prepaid USD credit card to pay for my Ariel preorder last year and they made a mistake and took double the order amount on hold (about $400+) which I freaked about because that mean $200 less spending money for my upcoming trip to the US. So as others have mentioned just be prepared for the release.

Back to the dolls, the higher edition size of these dolls should mean that they will last for some time not sure though as we did see the Ariel and Eric set of 6000 sell out within a span of an hour if not less. Then again they had preorders but they still had 1000 units more than these two. I for one definitely believe that one doll will sell out faster than the other, not sure who though, whilst Anna looks amazing I feel that the people's love for Elsa will make her sell out faster than her sister again.

I have a feeling that the one that will sell out faster will sell out within an hour of release whilst the other may last a little longer but probably not a whole day. Ariel took almost 3 days to sell out. I am pretty sure one of these girls will definitely beat this record as these dolls really are becoming more and more popular.

That being said I dont think you will have an issue getting them if you are on the ball and up at midnight to purchase them straight away.

Also one thing I noticed is that Elsa has clearer freckles on this doll compared to her Snow Queen one, I do hope they are somewhat consistent as I would love to think that the dolls are of the same character so should have some similarities in detail? Then again the freckles are a minor detail but still one that defines the character as well. I already noticed that Elsa's skin tone with this doll is different to the Snow Queen one as it does not have that Lavender tinge to it. Anna looks cute and I love her snow gear outfit, dont understand why they gelled her hair that way though, looks so stiff that it reminds me of Pippy long stockings with her hair not naturally resting on her shoulders but instead being held up by gel looking very hard and stiff. It just emphasises the fact that the hair is not real, making it look less realistic.

Thanks for the CC reminder and other great points, Polaris. It will be quite interesting to see how fast these two sell out. I am sure that the resellers will aim for LE Coronation Elsa first, because Elsa is the more popular sales-wise. But I also wonder if that would be a bad move for them. Elsa's coronation look just does not compare favorably to her Snow Queen look at all (less glitz and glam) and there are twice as many coronation LE dolls worldwide. The resellers may shoot themselves in the foot, but at the initial expense of people who want to collect (as with LE Prince Eric and LE Ursula).

Really? I thought the opposite. My LE Elsa has clear freckles that are darker than LE Anna's. It kind of bugs me because her freckles are barely visible in the movie. But from the pictures of these dolls, her freckles are less obvious. Maybe it varies from doll to doll. Anyways, I'm so screwed. I had only been planning to mmaaayybee get snow gear Anna but after seeing these pictures, I think Elsa is more beautiful, and I may want both. Argh why couldn't they have been hideous. Kidding. Sort of.

I know exactly what you mean. Same thing happened with me back with the other Anna/Elsa set, and I decided to get Elsa as well at the last minute. I imagine the same thing will happen with these beauties. I feel if I don't get them now, I will regret it and it would be much harder to get them in the future.

I was comparing both Elsa's and hoping that both would have consistent freckles because her freckles are not as visible in her snow queen one compared to her coronation one. However based on Disneygirl's side by side comparison it does look like the freckles are similar. Maybe I am getting the original and the Harrods set mixed up? LOL

It looks more like Anna's freckles are the inconsistent one with Coronation Anna having freckles all over her face whereas the Snow Gear one only has it on her nose and cheeks. Loving the Snow Gear Anna though!

Anyone else notice that when compared side by side the dolls released last year are a lot lighter than the ones being released next week? Also they are a lot more covered up with the only thing being exposed in this coming release being their face.

Could it be the how they took the pics? Meaning lighting, exposure, etc

Had a terrible day, came back and saw these and it made my day better for so many reasons.

Anna: Perfect! Everything about her is perfect. I especially like her face sculpt. they did a great job!

Elsa: Expected more, but you know what, I'm satisfied with what we got! A few things that I noticed:
1) The reversed the cloak. The lining is supposed to be satin, while the outside is fabric and the inside is satin. Kind of interesting.
2) The black part of her dress is not satin as it is in the movie.
3) The teal part is now dark blue.
4) Does anyone know why half of the flower logo on her cape is a different color? is it just a lighting thing?
5) Her face sculpt is meh. she's too happy, not formal enough.

But I will say this, I showed it to my sister and I thought she was going to tell me not to get it for her, but she screeched and woo'ed. :)
And yeh, I agree. For what we could have gotten, this is amazing!
I can't believe I'm saying this... but... Good Job disney merchandising!
Anna is honestly worth more than $100, while Elsa is worth the price tag. Something i thought was off with the last doll releases.
And I am glad that it's now a LE5,000.
Predictions: Elsa will sell out in 30-60 minutes. Anna will sell out in 60-90 minutes. These dolls will not last more than 5 hours. 7 max.

Here is a comparison of all three Elsa dolls, the coronation doll is definitely paler in comparison to the others but as AmandaAutumn stated it could be the lighting as the studio photos would definitely make the image look lighter than it really is due to the strong amount of lighting.
