Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
I try to ignore sequels. Except I did like Anastasia's story in Cinderella II. The third one, however, ruined what they did in II.
 
So... I was really mad last friday when the revealed the lithographs for the Frozen Blu-ray because they were disappointing... I mean, really really disappointing.. I'm ok with the Anna and Hans one, and the Olaf one.. But the ones that I really hate are the Kristoff and Elsa ones.

1. Why use images that were not in the movie?
2. If you are going to cut Anna out of the picture, why leave her head on the bottom of it?
3. Why did you use that picture of Kristoff? It looks nothing like him and it's just a bad one...

So I've decided to compile what I would consider to be the best that we could have gotten. Of course, I added one more, just cause.. :P

I'm constantly amazed at how much of the movie is online. Is the whole movie online? All the songs are on youtube, and it seems like anyone can find any shot from any scene. Not complaining, I love seeing the images, but just surprised as Disney usually is not that giving when it comes to stuff like this.

I was planning to go to the Disney store to see LE snow gear Anna but couldn't make it because I got some stomach bug or food poisoning or something. I guess there's not much hope she's still available for pre order in the store, so looks like I'll most likely be missing out on her.

There's a DVD Screener floating around online. It's near DVD quality and was probably released for awards consideration, then someone uploaded it :)
 
Also many Disney distributors from several countries have put up "Let it go" in their language.

Like Disney Belgium, Disney Netherlands, and some others, have posted the song on their youtube account, together with teaser trailers & trailers.

And well, like mentioned above, there are always screeners available.

Has anyone heard anything about Harrods having an exclusive set of the new Anna Elsa dolls, like they did with the last set? I heard it was a possibility =) I hope they do!

If they did, wouldn't it have been out already? I believe with the last set it was released before the single dolls. I could be wrong about that though.
 
Given the success of Frozen I'm thinking we'll see more merchandise in the next few months. I think it's on track to beat the Lion King box office (at least domestically). So hopefully new snowglobe and other items.

It happened with Tangled too. In fact, I think Tangled is what started me collecting Disney again; prior to that I'd already collected their mugs for years, but I had lost interest in their newer properties. But I completely fell in love with Tangled and wanted merchandise. Of course, they didn't anticipate the demand, and it was really hard to get things. I remember looking at the prices of some of the merchandise on ebay and it was ridiculous. In fact, I think the success of the toddler Rapunzel (nightgown version, I'm not sure if that one is considered Animator line or not), was why we got the Animator line to begin with; Disneystore just could not keep that doll in stock. It took me OVER A YEAR to complete my collection of only 3 pascal plushes because of how fast things would sell out, and I was unwilling to pay the ebay prices for him. But then Disneystore got with the program and things were easy to get. I think we'll see the same pattern for Frozen.

Personally, I'm hoping for different mugs. I have the tall Elsa mug, and while pretty, I prefer a stouter mug for use. So I'm hoping they will release different designs soon.

If they are on their game, they should theoretically ship out before the release date so you can receive it on or before the release date. That said, if they have other back-end problems (like running out of lithographs to actually fulfill the pre-orders as they did with my pre-order of Brave), then there could be delays. I received my copy of Brave with the lithographs about a month after its release.

But what can they do with a harrods set? Unlike the other versions, these dolls are pretty much completely covered up. And their clothes are very detailed as is. So if they do decide to make Harrods ones, they would look really really busy.

Maybe they'll do something with the gloves if they do make one? who knows..
 
The elsa mug is also back in stock! Don't know if I can justify ordering it with the delivery being £4.95! As there isn't anything else I want to order right now!
 
other countries like germany appear to be getting blue merch, for a film centred around ice youd think they would go with blue... im really dissapointed because I really dislike pink so ive passed on a lot of merch :/
 
I think frozen merchandise should be light blue but I can see why they use pink it appeals to little girls. It seems everyone dislikes pink lol! I'm a boy and my bedroom, on suite bathroom and car are all hot pink! You can never have enough pink things lol!
 
I love pink :lol: Everything I own is pink so it's ok with me but I agree more of it should be blue colours it would be more fitting to the movie!!
