Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
Can anyone tell me whether the Elsa singing doll is of a good quality? I've seen photos, but does her "singing" actually work properly? I'm thinking of getting one but I'm still kind of hesitant because of the reviews on DS.

I've read complains that she only stops singing when the batteries are removed and that she is really sensitive. I've also seen a video about her while singing but I cant' find it. I do not have the doll but I hope this may help. :)
Edit: fogot the quote...

I think they must have only had one or two snowglobes back in stock. I managed to get to checkout with it but didn't order it as I already have one. I would keep an eye out though if anyone wants one. I'm sure it will pop back up again.

I want one very much and would be glad to pay the shipping to the states if you manage to get any. I'd love you forever! :D

Nooo, not when I don't have the money for it! Aww.

There is a way to turn both of them off - I don't think the person who reviewed it checked the doll over completely. On the side of their waist the have an on/off switch. They are light and movement sensitive, so I would recommend keeping them switched off until you want to hear them sing. I had to remove their dresses to find the switch, but once I located it I can conveniently turn them on and off thru their dresses (I had to find that solution quickly as when my nieces request an audience with them, they want to hear them both sing but they only want to hear them sing once each )

I think they have great singing quality. My only complaint as far as the singing is that neither of them finish their chorus parts. Elsa sings:

It’s time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me
I’m free

Let it go, let it go
I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go, let it go
You’ll never see me cry

Anna sings:
They'll be happy smiling people
It'll be totally strange
But wow am I so ready for this change

'Cuz for the first time in forever

There’ll be music, there’ll be light
For the first time in forever
I’ll be dancing through the night

I'm not sure why they didn't do a few more lines each. But nonetheless, I really love them and would buy them again in a heartbeat. Hope this helps!! :)

Coronation Anna in the parks:

That looks off... She's too old and the dress is too revealing.. the bottom is also short..

i think it's pretty! my biggest concern is the skirt. I agree it needs to be a little longer and/or with lace trim.
She's on the same blue background that they had for the new princess gowns, so I'm sure this is a look model showing off the new gown/wig. I can't tell if there are ribbons in her hair.

Awesome, thanks! I really want them both now haha, after reading this. I love the songs. But indeed, too bad they don't finish their chorus. But still! :D I also love that Elsa's hands, and Anna's chest, light up. Nice detail.

Am I being silly by saying that I don't want a sequel? The fact that I don't like any of the Disney sequels (apart from Toy Story) doesn't help either, I guess.

My bf is going to check his Store again tomorrow, they'll be getting new stock and they said they might be getting some extra dolls again and that they could put one aside for me yay. *fingers crossed*

I think that a sequel would be a bad idea...

They are pretty much treating it like sky blue is treating ice age.

And they're minionising it. (Despicable me)....

I don't either. I wouldn't mind a short like Tangled got, but no sequels please.

Your welcome, happy to be of help! Yeah, they really are both so beautiful, and the detail was what won me over ^.^ I also love the light up addition- makes them just that much more enchanting when they sing :D

Thanks for the link - how exciting!! I knew it was only a matter of time! I really would love to see it as a broadway show- the songs and story make me believe it should be an easy transition! Though now I do hope they get in touch with the person who wrote the "want to build a snowman" reprise :D

It just popped in my head last night, that I can see a sequel coming up very soon after the DVD release.

While I can see the potential for a sequel... I just don't trust Disney. Don't get me wrong- I would love to see a good story that included more of Elsa and Anna, but Disney sequels very rarely measure up to their potential in my opinion.

I personally don't think they'll make a sequel, I think they might do little sequels like tangled ever after which I REally hope they do!!!

The doll itself is of great quality. She does have an off button, it's on her hip so if you're keeping her in a stand you have to be careful that you don't move her and accidentally turn her singing on. I don't know how it is for other Elsas, but the motion sensor is extremely sensistive, so most of the time I keep her off. I can be sitting across the room and she'll go off. Also her hair is easily the best on any Elsa doll I've seen, but of course that can vary from doll to doll. I wish my limited of her had hair as great.

However, her outfit is crap. It's bland and boring. Considering the price, I expect more from the DS. I mean the classic doll is amazing and she's on a smaller scale. I would get someone to make a better outfit for her if you're planning on getting her. I do, when I have the time and money.

she has an on off switch at her waist, I was worried she wouldn't shut up too :), she is motion activated so when she is on, she is ON and and slight change in lighting sets her off.

Thank you for your input! I'm glad they included an off button because I was afraid she'd be singing whenever I'd walk by.

I did notice that her dress seems a bit… Well, boring. I have some sewing experience so I was thinking of using some fabric to make a dress of my own. I also saw some people attaching snowflakes in her hair, I'd love to do such a thing. I love personalising things like that.

She's a gorgeous doll and I think you should get her if you can. But her oufit it just disappointing. Plus the glitter comes off at the slightest nudge. Which is typical of DS dolls, but I've gotten used to the classic doll, where you can basically throw the dress on the ground and the glitter doesn't move and inch.

I'm a creative person, but most of the time I can't translate it into a medium with which I can work with it. So it's better to leave the sewing and creating to someone better equiped. xD

Eewy, while I would love more chapters in the Frozen story...sequels are so...hit or miss. While I would like more insight on how Elsa was born with the powers...prequels are normally even worse than sequels. Plus, as a prequel it would be even less Elsa screen time. But, I do agree, a little short film before another movie would be appreciated. :)
