I really think it's insane that pins are released this way. Let's talk about the number of people that can actually participate in this? I understand this has been going on for awhile but, correct me if I'm wrong, lineup just gets earlier and earlier. What type of guest experience is it for hundreds of people to line up before the sun rises for a CHANCE to get the pin they are interested in? I'm obviously far detached from this and I have to rely on ebay if I'm interested in GSF releases but I just feel like this is terrible. Kudos to everyone who goes to these releases and still sells the pins they acquire.

Wishing everyone great success and hoping you all get the pins you want! Y'all should get badges or medals or something for your dedication to get up sooooo early and trudge through the streets to stand in the cold and wait in hopes that you will be one of the lucky ones to get the pins! OMG! I'm waaay too old for that!! I salute you and applaud your awesomeness!! YOU ROCK!!

What better way to celebrate Valentines Day, than to wake up before dawn and stand in line in a dirty alley? I'll see you guys there.
Lol you make me laugh :)

Even though ugh I won't doubt you on the whole dirty alley part. I've never been but if it's anything like Paris as a whole, then yeah... ;)

well for a friday it works because regardless if it was at 5 or 7am you would still have to get there before 5am to beat the LA traffic if you are not close.

Hmm, I guess so. Oh well, I'd only want a surprise pin w/ scamp if they made one. Oh, and does anyone know why some releases are 2 per person and others aren't?
At 2 pins per person, I'm not sure there will be many leftovers!! (Well, maybe the pound dogs pins.) You're better off going to Hollywood before hitting the park. :)

Hmmm....let's see...I'll be getting up for work & leaving shortly after this time & freezing my butt off because I live in Wisconsin!!! Just be thankful you're in CA!

I'm pretty sure it depends on whether or not they expect them to be hugely popular. If it's Frozen, Tangled, UP, WIR or BTs or Marq's then it's likely to be 1 per person. If it's something nice like Pooh or Lady and the Tramp that doesn't have exceptional demand, they seem to allow 2 per person. For the next Planes movie they should allow 4 per person. :)

Considering that the Planes pin from the last movie are still in the store, they should make it a _minimum_ of 4 per person... :)

I always thought such early line-ups where only done at concerts to be front row, haha (and I know people sleeping in front of the hall for days in advance). But not for bying pins, hehe.

So.... How early do people think I should I leave from San Diego? (I've only ever gone to releases from home in Orange county) thanks!

Yay... Another San Diegan! What part are you from? We are only 15 minutes from the border! Anyways, we normally have allow ourselves 3 hours for one way travel time. Good luck! :)
