Trading on new Pinpics?

I have. I don't know how to look for matches or instagate a trade, but I had someone else contact me thru the new pinpics and it went great.

so basically, I'm probably of no help, whatsoever.
 
They have it set up now that you get an email whenever you get a trade request sent to you, that is a big improvement. The sight does still have it's problems though but they told me that they are working on fixing them, I hope they do get them fixed. There are people on this sight that are setting up their own pin trading data bases, it will be nice to have several different options to set up pin trades!
 
I haven't had anyone respond to requests sent out, but I have received requests and made a couple successful trades (when the other person will switch to email). I hate the messaging system (can't make folders or anything, or if you can, I can't figure it out). The few times I've tried to make requests I only get a message about half the time saying it was sent. So usually I just message directly instead of using their trade assist.
 
I really like the comparison option but the bad thing is that when you send a message to someone, it goes in their inbox and no one is looking at that. People don't even know it exists so my messages don't get answered.

when you type in the traders name click member then go to bottom of screen click on the trader then when that comes up click on the left side of the screen there is a section that has a place to compare pins click on it then click on they want and or you want
 
I have only done 2 trades with the new pinpics. One of which I am really happy I did (hi Nick). But I won't use it again. It doesn't work properly. I am tired of hearing they are working on it. Plus the old site really works well, why screw up what worked well for this new crap? I am looking forward to the new options coming.

For now I am only trading in person and here on DPF.
 
I still find it cumbersome, & miss emails, but I have now made about half a dozen trades on the new PP site. I wish one didn't have to copy the message when replying- you get a "blank slate" when you hit the answer button. Also wish there was a place to put TA comments like the old site has. BUT, I do think my TA PM's get thru for the most part.
 
I have made a total of 4 trades on the new pp. 2 went well, 2 went south and pp was no help trying to get my pins back. 50/50 is not a good sign. I'll stick with the old pp, FB or on here. Other wise, nope, no more new pp trades unless I have traded with the person before.

From what I was told, if you get a trade request you should be getting an email now letting you know that you have one waiting for you in your pinpics inbox. If it works like this then at least you will know now when you have a trade request.

I've been getting the emails, but I still get responses on less than 20% of my trade requests. There must be something else going on with the system. I don't know any history on that site, but they sure seem very slow to fix things.

I received a few emails, for a week or so, letting me know I either had a message or a TA, don't remember which, but that's stopped again.

I've gotten in the habit of checking my "inbox" a couple of times a week. Although has anyone figured out how to turn their TA on or off?
 
I have made most of my trade with the new pinpics site. I like the comparison tool, but I admit that the request going on the inbox of the site is not the best idea because most of people don't look at it.
I usally give my email address in my request to pursue the trade by mails instead by messages (where you can't put photos or attachments).
It is true that for a lot of requests, I just get a really few answers :s

I have the same problem as you about getting responses back. I will send out a ton of trade requests and not get back a single reply. Not everyone would reply back on the old sight either but it seemed like it was a lot better then the new sight. I'm thinking that a lot of people gave up on pinpics due to all the problems and that's why we don't get any or very little responses back, that's just my theory.

This!!! I don't even bother looking at the new pinpics ever.
 
Has anyone gotten an email notification of a trade request that didn't show up on the website? I have one like this and the member that sent the trade request doesn't even have the pins listed in his pin pics account that he requested to trade to me or get from me. It seems like a major error in pin pics system.
