Here I was thinking only AIW was ever allowed to touch your fingertips!! You been cheatin' woman? :naughty:

Wish I was working. Otherwise, I would totally be up for helping you out and playin' the game.

Congrats on getting so close with your collection! That has got to be one amazing collection as is!! Good luck with your game, you have some amazing pins for that. I only go after pins I need for my collection, but I'm sure a lot of people would really enjoy the opportunity to play that.

Hard to say. It seems like most pin games on the forum go for $20+25 including shipping. You have a LOT of holy grail worthy pins here (like, OMG, the Masterpiece Belle!), but I also see quite a few pins pictured that I think fall in the $10 or less range. (Toys for Tots Belle, princess crest, Star Wars, 100 Years pins, etc.) Would you consider offering two games for different price ranges? Like, one with $20 spots and another with $50 spots? I know I'd be very disappointed if I paid about $75 for two spots and ended up with two rack pins. Just a suggestion.

Either way, you have gorgeous pins, and congratulations on reaching your milestone!

Yeah, I know the price point is higher than some games, but the potential rewards I think are higher as well with multiple pins worth several hundred each and multiple other pins in the $50-$100 range. :) I don't want to do two games because I'm just trying to clear out my trade bags in one big blowout. LOL

But I always try to make sure that I make it worth the while of people playing my games. As I mentioned, I have goodies I will be adding in to supplement the value of some of the lesser spots. :) I like people being happy playing my games even if it's been a while since I've run one and many people who have played in the past aren't here anymore. :(

WOW, some major wants there for a lot of people! I think that for some the gamble works out well but what about those that would spend $35.00+ and end up with something worth only a fraction of that? Thats the rub of course and you would need enough people willing to take that chance.

The next issue is that a lot of people stay away from games because they think they are rigged. Even people using Random.org have posted results that fail to show the bottom of the page which is where you can see how many times the list was altered. When risking larger amounts of money I think you would need to have a method that would allow people to fee they were getting a fair shake. Videos are good but can of course be edited, there is a place that you can do live video chats online....I used to do sports cards box breaks there but I cant remember the name of it...I will look it up again.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do, you have some fabulous pins there!

I've known JJ for a number of years. Speaking from experience, that's not how she operates. Everyone would get a Fair shake.

I would never suggest it, what I said was that "people" talk quite a bit about the concern that games here (and auctions) are rigged or tend to favor certain people. I only pointed it out because if there is a way to make everyone feel comfortable it is more likely to get filled.

I find my players like to know they are going to get something of value. I think you might need to have a little better odds than 50/50. For that money maybe something more like 75/25? My last game had enough PTD's that the second or third to last player still got a PTD. If your lesser pins were LE pins or 2 or 3 rack pins per number you might do better. $35 for a rack pin is a hard pill to swallow. People want to get something of value for their money in my experience, even if it is of lesser value than the original entry fee.

My last pin game experience was superb! (thank you Rocke01 and mystery gifter!)

I think $35 is fair considering the potential rewards and that after taxes most rack pins are almost $10 anyway. I'd buy a slot just for a shot. However many seem to think it's too expensive and I get that. Over 1 spot gets very pricey very fast. Maybe includes slightly better 'loosing' pins if you have them or drop it to $30 per spot? Not sure the price point though since I haven't mathed it out and you'd understandably want to make the game worth the value of the pins if you sold them outright.

I think the one-game-fits-all idea is the best one, at the end of the day it's all about the thrill.
Oh, and in my very humble opinion it would be nice to offer just one place per person for some days, I think it would be more fun if there were actually 100 people with a single spot, just my two cents thus.

I would offer more options if I could - but lol I'm including literally every pin in my trade bag that I can sell that I have except for hidden mickeys! :p

I'd be willing to do it at $35 shipped and drop the extra $2 fee, but I don't think I'd want to go below that.

I really want to support you but I do not think I would be able to talk myself into $35 for a potential rack pin. In this particular game I think about half of the top 50 are worth the investment so you have a 1 in 4 chance of getting something worth that kind of cash and a 1 in 2 chance of losing $25 generically speaking. Maybe putting pins together and offering less spots for that kind of money would be better? I don't know your investment in it all and I know you have to account for that. When I do games it is tough because I get most of my pins second hand which means it usually costs me more than the original buyer. I would figure out what you need to get from your game and then figure out the cost you need to achieve that goal. If this is your number all you can do is try.

At $35, I might do 1 spot for a chance at one of the great pins, but wouldn't do multiples unless at least some of the "lower" pins were paired up

What about doing more like 75-80 spots and pairing some of the OE singles?

What if, if you were drawn into one of the last spots, you were to offer a partial refund? So if you paid $35 and got 97th choice, you could select a pin and then get a $10 refund so your spot was only $25. You could either do it by the last 10 or 15 people got some money back, or you could do it by "lot." If you picked "choice 45" it may be a rack pin + $10 refund.

I find it hard to participate in the games, first because of the cost if you are a loser (and that's the way I always approach these things, if I get last pick will it be worth it?), and second my collection is so large I run too large a risk of duplicating, and since I don't have many trading opportunities spending $20 or more for a duplicate pin, I can't trade...not worth it.

Congratulations on getting so close to completing the collection!

I look for games that are $20 or under. It's easier to stomach a $10 loss ($20 per spot and pin is worth $10) than it would be to stomach a $25 loss ($35 per spot and pin is worth $10.)

When I play games, I look at the grand prizes and the consolation prizes. If at least 50-60% of the prizes are what I think are worth the "entry" fee and I can afford the loss if I get last place, I play. I also look to see if I'd be happy with the consolation prizes. I also look for local (Southern California) games rather than non-local because I like to meet people in person to pick up prizes (if possible) as I don't yet have a PO box address to provide.

Have you thought first about selling the pins you do have rather than a game? There seem to be a lot of games running here.

Pretty clear the answer is no for the game, so I'm not going to run it. A shame - I was going to have so many additional fun surprises (as I have done previously in my games). It's a shame that people seem to be burned out on the fun of how these games started a few years ago and just seem so negative. :( But I guess I'll just sell them to the secondary market. Thanks for the input everyone.
