I dunno.... I feel like a massive party pooper but I'm really over Frozen merchandise. Don't get me wrong, I can watch the movie time and time again, but the idea of MORE LE dolls, I think, is ridiculous. I only have Anna in her Snow Gear, and kinda regret not getting SQ Elsa because now it'll take ages for me to get her. I know I'm just one person, but I'm not fussed on the idea of another 2 or 3 Frozen dolls - there's already 4 and that's of only 2 characters). I know I know, 'just don't buy them' you say, which makes sense, but I just know there's so many other Disney characters who deserve dolls: Pocahontas, Mulan, Jasmine, Aladdin (hopefully we get those 2 next year), and even heroines!
OK.... That's my little rant over :) :)

I couldn't agree more.
I don't need more Frozen dolls - 4 must be enough.
And the whole "just don't buy them" doesn't work well for collectors, since not buying the dolls means a gap in the collection.
I need the dolls you mentioned - Mulan, Jasmine, Aladdin and Pocahontas. Especially Mulan, even though that would make a 3rd doll in her matchmaker outfit.
When it comes to heroines, I still think Esmralda could make a beautiful doll :)
 
Am I the only one who thinks that we might get a Hans and Kristoff dolls?

Also... What if they release a 2 doll set with anna and Elsa in their new outfits?

But, then again isn't that the same issue with most of the dolls? Like Snow White, Alice etc.
I would also like to have Snow White, but still for me a re-release wouldn't be the same.
 
The day they do a re-release is the day I stop buying the dolls. There was a company once who makes collector cars. They did a re-release of cars they made many years ago. It was the most stupid decison - they lost all their major collectors because their "limited edition" cars were no longer so limited, and they lost all their value. Yes I know there's the whole debate of collecting for beauty vs collecting for value. I collect for both- I only buy what I like, but I like the fact they're worth a lot of money, I feel good about my purchases and safe in the knowledge should I ever have to sell my collection, they have a good return. They're limited for a reason, or else they wouldn't be called Limited Edition Dolls. There was 1 release, and in my opionion it should stay that way. If they have to do another release of Frozen, then they should change the dolls/their outfits. I don't have SQ Elsa, Alice, Belle or Rapunzel. Do I want them? Sure, but I'll have to wait and save. I think it's respectful to the whole idea of limited edition collecting.

It won't be rerelease but dolls in different gowns, which all the collectors will buy, so don't be selfish. I wouldn't mind if they give us one more Maleficent and if any of you is buying them to sell them after 10 years, then sellers what can I say - Market is changing...deal with it...

I think your post was unneccessarily harsh, considering all i was explaining was why I'd stop collecting should they ever re-release the SAME doll in the same outfit. I did mention that the release, should they choose to do another frozen release rather than countless others they could do, would be best done in new outfits. However, since I am the collector of my own collection, if my choice of doll purchase makes me selfish then so be it; it it is my collection afterall. And for the record, I have no intentions of selling my dolls but I wouldn't spend $120USD + shipping on a doll if it was not limited edition and worth something overall. But that's just me. :)
 
My post wasn't just for you. Was for everyone who has anything against new Feozen dolls or any of new dolls for that matter. Don't tell me if they release Snow White that you won't buy her. I know I would
 
It's nice to dream about upcoming dolls, especially reissues of ones we missed, but I highly doubt Disney would run this line into the ground by rereleasing dolls.

If they rereleased Snow White for example (I don't have her) I'd hope she would be different enough that I would still want to chase the original. I'd be sad if they made her the same because it really would tarnish the current doll.

As for new Frozen dolls, I'm sure I'll buy them, lol, but I would rather characters we haven't seen. But that doesn't mean they can't release new characters AND more Frozen dolls.
 
Let's hope they choose to release lots of new dolls to keep the line going for a long time. I would very much like them to do new dolls before they consider releasing different versions of dolls already released- I think there is such great potential for some amazing dolls; Esmerelda (as someone mentioned before), Pocahontas, Mulan, Evil Queen (always forget her name), Megara, Kida, just to nane a few. I will admit, I'm very lucky that I was in a position last year to purchase Snow White at a decent price, but I know how disappointing it is to not have her in the collection. Maybe they can take after the Designer lines, should they choose to rerelease; the first designer Snow was very different to the one released last year :).

Agree！ But DS must release the new frozen dolls with new outfits. The first frozen dolls I missed are now pretty expensive and I just passed on them. But I look forward to the possible upcoming frozen dolls.

Many think that DS won't release the same SQ and I agreed! Since Elsa can change her outfit with her magic in the first place, why can't her change her outfit again in short for her sister's birthday party? I believe Anna should be very beautiful with her birthday outfit! If these possible frozen dolls' edition size could be 8000 like tangled short doll, I think I have a chance to got both Anna & Elsa.

Sorry for my poor english with Chinese style...:p

I haven't seen Frozen (Everyone Gasp!) but I've seen enough of it it - because it's everywhere lol Knowing how much money the movie is Still making, I think there is a good chance they will make Anna, Elsa and Kristoff as these three new 17" dolls. Re-released Limited Edition merchandise does not happen, because there would be no purpose on numbering them if that were the case. Releasing the dolls in different outfits solves the problem since it's the same character dressed very differently. This would work for say Ariel if she were released in her pink dress, Cinderella in her wedding dress, Tiana in a different dress - but not Snow White in just a changed version of her classic dress. Though I was VERY surprised they made Aurora in the same dress with Pink and Blue. Since they both sold out who knows what they will do with dress styles, but I don't think it will be common to change only the dress. It seemed people were a bit annoyed with not knowing there would be Aurora in Blue, and that the dress was not at all different.

DS is smart and make the blue aurora's edition size a bit smaller and still being sold out fast...
 
I think Frozen is a great film, and I have seen it three times now (twice in theaters and once on Blu-Ray), and I will probably watch it again around Christmas time. But I think there are FAR better Disney films out there and there are many that deserve limited edition dolls more than Frozen. We don't need two more dolls of Anna and Elsa added to the 17" line when we already have FOUR. I am interested in seeing how they look, but I am just waiting for Disney to finally give me my 17" Mulan doll that I have been waiting for.

I still think two designer dolls of Anna and Elsa would be better idea seeing people have really been wanting designer dolls of those characters. They did it for Tinkerbell and Zarina for the release of The Pirate Fairy, which was released around the same time this short is scheduled to be released, so I think it would be the perfect opportunity to finally give us some Frozen designer dolls.

It doesn't make a difference to me if they make more dolls for Frozen or not - it's Disney's decision, if that's what they want to do, I'll support it. I got SQ Elsa and Coronation Anna when they both came out, and then my dad bought me Coronation Elsa as a surprise in March (he couldn't afford to get Travel Dress Anna, too). So, if they release this, depending on what Disney does with the designs, I might just get Anna.

Is the rumor for the spring dolls to be 17"? I would rather see designer frozen dolls than 17" dolls, even though I don't have any 17" frozen dolls.

I only have coronation elsa and snow gear anna. I definitely want the rumored frozen short dolls. Just hope it would come out no matter it is 17" or designer lines.
 
I was on a website and it said that Big Hero 6, Aladdin, Jasmine, Jafar, and a 17" LE Pocahontas were going to be released. Big Hero releasing in Nov., Aladdin dolls releasing in 2015, and the Pocahontas doll would be released in 2016.....I forgot where I saw this & if this is official or not BUT It was said that a cast member spilled the beans. :)
 
I'm really hoping disney makes less popular characters into dolls in the future... I would love to see a 17 inch Jane from Tarzan.
 
lol. That list is not exactly true. Cast members don't even know if big hero 6 is going to get dolls and I'm sure that people who actually work on these dolls have to sign an embargo or something.
