I think if another SQ Elsa was released, people would still want the original one because of the edition size, because it was the first one, and because of the perceived value. I also think the people who have the original would probably purchase another version of SQ Elsa if it became available. Many people got both the November set and the Harrods set and the dolls are only slightly different. Same with the SB Harrods set.

I don't believe they would release the exact same doll again, but I think it would be possible to release another version of SQ Elsa. The dress would just have to be slightly altered in some way and everyone would rush to buy it. I have the November Elsa (that I paid way over retail), and I honestly wouldn't be angry if they released another SQ, but maybe that's just me. :) I'm sure I would buy her again, even though I would much prefer a completely different outfit.
 
I think that release will work out well for me any way they do it...I missed both Frozen releases, so I just want a set (as long as they look good). I would be fine with new costumes, and I would be fine with a SQ re-release. Talking in the line with others, I wasn't the only one who was new enough to have missed some of the previous releases, so I'm sure a new SQ release would do just fine.

I would understand disappointment on the part of the owners of the first one, though. Not just because of a potential value drop- it would mean a less-interesting doll to look forward to for them.
 
Exactly^ The first one will always be the most special as its the first one, has a low edition size and is very movie accurate. If they were to do another it would have a higher edition size and also be completely different.
I used to have the original Elsa and I'm currently saving to buy it back but I would still buy a second SQ Elsa. Just like people buy the two designer Cinderellas and the 17inch- all based on the same blue ball gown but look completely different. I would love a SQ Elsa that is less movie accurate but more detailed like the Snow White, Rapunzel doll.

That's true ! I didn't think about it, but if Elsa is in her Snow Queen Outfit, I will probably pass on her...and it would be sad to have only Anna and Kristoff (I prefer the sisterhood).
Anyway, I am looking to them, they sure be gorgeous !
 
the girls in their mourning garbs would also make pretty dolls too, but i think that might be a little too... sad?

SQ elsa and coronation anna inspired dolls that are more detailed would be great though! i hadn't even thought about that!
i vaguely remember someone linking to a page that confirmed the LE frozen dolls for next year? does anyone have that link handy?

I would think they would do the new dolls based on the Frozen Fever short, kind of like they did a Wedding Rapunzel 17" doll based on the Tangled Ever After short.

Ditto, especially if it's going UPS ground. They don't usually update over the weekend and many times won't update until it reaches the main station that's closest to the delivery point. That's ground for you...on the other hand, express updates everywhere.

I agree. If they were to make new Frozen dolls I would assume it would be for the short film and that they probably would design new outfits for the girls. I don't see them making a new snow queen Elsa doll.

Now, I only have the march elsa & anna I paid much more $ for. The first release sets are far too expensive for me. I'd love the possible LE dolls from Frozen Fever no matter what it looks like finally and I'll love them. Just hope DS can make the edition size be 8000 like Rapunzel wedding doll, So it can be much easier for me to get them at the retail price.
 
I agree that any Frozen LE dolls should have a higher edition size. And this is coming from someone who got both releases in stores, so it's not I had to chase them afterward. I just think the demand is there. There was no way to foresee this, though, for the November dolls :(
 
My blue Aurora and Maleficent are both listed as on the truck for delivery today - I'm so excited! I just wish international shipping wasn't so expensive so I could actually have it sent to my door rather than across the border. Waiting till the end of the week to pick them up will be the end of me :P
 
So after the tracking not being updated, the doll was delivered but not the one I ordered. I too was sent a Phillip! I called DS and they said they have my doll. I hope so. This is disastrous. Ugh!
 
My Maleficent arrived today and looks AMAZING! The doll looks SO much better in person. the box appears to be perfect - aside from the fact the box was very hot when I got it - not the brown shipping box but Maleficent's actual box. When I took her out I felt so much heat.
 
Hello, I used to have the username Camile but I had issues with my e-mail and I had to get a new account. I have not been here for a while so I doubt that you remember me, especially since I am too lazy to put an avatar yet, but anyway.

Did something happened to the previous 17 inch limited edition doll page? I tried to look it once but it was locked. Hopefully this is not a wrong place to post.

Since there was some talk about the Frozen short dolls do you believe they could be Hans and Kristoff? We have had two Anna and Elsa dolls already and Disney has made princes and villains recently. But I would assume Disney will not pass an opportunity for Elsa have a new kind of dress (maybe another snow dress, maybe not) for the short so they may make dolls. I have the original November dolls already so I rather have new dolls but I would not pass new Anna and Elsa either. I am still annoyed when I see the March ones, the Frozen dolls are certainly the best of the limited edition dolls.

So did you heard that the new Disney princess film Moana has been announced for 2016? I am so excited since it was originally rumored for 2018. We have to wait for Giants for a while however.

And I signed the petition. I was not interested for the Sleeping Beauty dolls after all (if I had known beforehand there would be a blue Aurora I would have been, I did not expect as a surprise) and I am sorry to hear there have been more troubles. I did have issues when I got Anna and Elsa and that is partially why I decided not to get the Sleeping Beauty dolls, I have been busy and I did not want any additional stress.

Very excited for moana didn't realise it had been pushed forward! So we will probably get Aladdin dolls 2015 and Moana 2016.
I think their is a high chance we will get Kristoff next year but not sure on Hans as he might not be in the short seen as he was shipped back to his kingdom at the end of Frozen. Would prefer a Hans though over Kristoff.
 
Just heard from my mom my Maleficent came in today got excited when i asked her what the cart number was...00053!!! Lowest i've seen/received from the other LE dolls I have, not that it really matters it was just a little surprising and exciting...sorry didnt mean to get off track, just wanted to share :-)

My Maleficent and Phillip came today if perfect condition. I had to take the box off to see the edition number but other than that I will be keeping them in their boxes. I am very happy with them and can't wait to display them. My Maleficent was #580 and Prince Phillip was #1040.

You don't have to open them. The cart number on the side of the shipping box tells you the number of the doll. HTH
 
I am still not too thrilled with the idea of two new Frozen dolls being added to the 17 inch line, but I am looking forward to seeing how they look once their images are released if they decide to make two more. I would expect them to be in completely new outfits for the film, if not for just a little section of it so that way they can warrant making two new dolls (otherwise I think it would be a better idea to make two designer dolls). Does anyone thing they may release Anna and Elsa together in one box like what they did for the Elinor and Merida dolls that were released for the Brave Blu-ray/DVD?

As for a re-release of the Snow Queen Elsa doll, I honestly don't see that happening. If they were to re-release her, then people would only beg Disney to re-release other dolls that a lot of people regret not buying (like Snow White for example). Even with very small changes to the dolls themselves, I still think that wouldn't warrant a re-release. If we are going to get two more dolls, then I think they should be new outfits.

I just want the 17 inch Coronation Elsa...seriously Disney you need to make more merchandise of her in that dress!
