DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion

Apparently there was a large fire at the Chicago airport where they process mail (from what I hear since all of my mail is routed through Chicago and has been taking forever to get to Japan). So that might be part of the slow down for some international orders. Although, honestly, it sounds like people have been taking the dolls, it seems crazy that that many dolls could go missing and no one would notice. It also seems like Disney bumped up the price $20 just so they could offer a gift card when boxes and dolls came damaged, and they aren't out the normal $100 that they charge. This whole release has been ridiculous. I'm still waiting on all but Prince Philip to ship to my moms but I'm trying to stay positive.

To my surprise I got blue Aurora and Maleficent last night to Europe, phew.

And to make it all better my replacement pink Aurora has been sent 3hours ago with a UPS tracking number so now I can track her at least. :)
 
I recently took all my 17 inch dolls out of their boxes and I have no regrets!! I was in awe of how gorgeous the dolls are out of those boxes! It also takes up less room and I can enjoy the dolls in all their glory

I'd love to debox, but I just can't bring myself to do it. Maybe one day if I have an amazing display cabinet, but until then, their boxes keep them safe.
In the mean time, I enjoy looking at all the pictures of everyone's deboxed dolls! ^_^

I got this same status. I have the tracking info and it is not updated as of yet, and my label was also created on the 13th.

I just checked a few minutes ago and the status still says the same. It was suppose to be delivered today. I called disney and they do not now what is going on. Are you from the us? And did you contact disneystore? Hope we get our dolls soon. :(

I just received my Maleficent today and she is AMAZING! To me she is really beautiful! IMO she is up there with Alice and Snow Queen Elsa. I know not many are going to share my sentiment, but I had to squee about it and where better than to the lovely people on this forum!!!!!!!!

Aurora is very pretty as well. I"m so glad they did a great job on her. I love looking at the improvement in quality year after year.

I have never seen Alice before but I used to own Sq Elsa and I totally agree with you that Maleficent's up their with her! She's amazing. Photos don't do her justice. And Aurora is beautiful too. It's not too often they do good Aurora dolls but this LE is so detailed!

I have a thread in the forum about my alice collection if you want to see her and the QofH! They are my grails but Maleficent made it up to the top as soon as I opened her! I used to have SQ Elsa but sold her to get Alice. I may get her again one day when the prices calm down.
 
Great news! I just received my blue auora, maleficent and phillip. Pink aurora is due to arrive next week.
I have to say, the dolls are gorgeous. I haven't studied them intensely yet (I'm at work), but I think of the 3, Phillip is my favourite (massive surprise to me, I must say), then Maleficent, then Aurora (I'm not fussed on that curl or the tinsel hair). I'm so so glad Maleficent has turned out beautiful; she's an amazing villain.
Now to let my wallet rest waiting for next year. It's Aladdin's year, isn't it?
 
I still had all my newly purchased dolls in bags but came home today from work to THIS!! So thankful for my amazing husband<3 Maleficent is seriously my fav out of the sleeping beauty series!!

Yeah, Pink Aurora is finally in transit, says she should arrive on Wednesday but I think she'll come sooner, generally once shipped the items come a lot sooner. Not sure if it's because of the weekend or not

Inabena, your collection is great! Love your DFDCs. :) Are the Sleeping Beauty 17'' LE dolls your first 17'' dolls?

I am so sorry for everyone who couldn't get their dolls because Disney messed it up. :( To be honest, i think they got stolen. It's not very clever to ship the dolls in boxes which say "LE DOLL".

My ebay-doll arrived yesterday safely at my home. She is very pretty... I don't regret anything.
