DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
What do you guys think the edition size will be on the Frozen Fever dolls? I want to believe it'll be a fairly large edition size like they did for Wedding Rapunzel, but I also heard from people collecting when she was released that it took forever for her to sell out. I'm still betting on at least 5000 for each (maybe less for Kristoff), but want to hear your thoughts. :)

Also, if they do decide to release a surprise Cruella (fingers crossed!) in February, what do you guys think her edition size would be?

I believe the edition size would be at least 8,000 like wedding Rapunzel since Elsa & Anna seem more popular than Rapunzel. If it is 8,000 at last, It would be easier for me to get one~
As to Kristoff, I believe it would be at most 3,500 like Philip which is still available and it is odd...

I have to agree, Anna and Elsa are still really popular. Disney will want to cash in on this.

Not sure which one I like more. Kristoff's not attracting me really, but maybe when I see the doll, I'll change my mind. Loving Elsa's look - very subtle changes, which I happen to find quite appealing. Anna's dress is pretty, but not as amazing as her other LE releases.

Also hoping that if they do decide to do a new 17'' Cinderella for the movie in 2015, it will be based on the classic character (or at least make one classic version and one Lily James version). :) I personally don't like that DS based Cinderella on her 2012 redesign while all the other princesses are based on how they look in their original films. It would be even more amazing if at some point, Harrods would make a two-doll set with one classic-looking Cinderella in silver and one in blue (or DS sell them separately with the silver dress being much more limited, like with the Designer Princesses).

Haha, I know it's just wishful thinking, but one can dream! :D

I think if they do a LE cinderella for the movie it will be the animated face with the dress based on the live action film kinda like they did with the Alice doll. Would be surprised if they did the live action face mold on the LE.

I only just got into these I've been a huge Disney fan since forever I'm now 25 and still just as obsessed but I didn't know about the limited edition dolls etc
ive missed out on so much :(
i even changed my name to a Disney characters name when I was little and it stuck :)
anyway I'm excited to get my hands on my first limited edition 17" doll
the prices on eBay are crazy! I wish I had known about these when they were available

I'm in the same boat! I was only vaguely aware of the previous limited edition Frozen dolls and I had no idea about all the others. The eBay prices are insane. I hope I can get at least a couple LE dolls this year.

Haha me too! :) I only found out about the LE dolls last April when I started looking for Frozen merchandise. It scares me so much when I think about how much a person would have to save to afford some of the more popular dolls (cough cough Snow White and the November Frozen set)! But a lot of kind collectors selling their dolls will post them on social media sites and take less than the scary eBay prices, so if you're looking for any right now I'd start with a collectors site first. :)

Ok, my opinions: :)
I guess I'll start with the Frozen LE dolls. And I'm going to start with Elsa. I love Elsa's snow Queen dress. I really do. I know it's her 'freedom' dress, so to speak, and it's her most iconic one too. However, I was not hoping for a recolored snow Queen dress with some flowers thrown in for her Frozen Fever outfit. I wanted maybe something a little more queen-like. I don't know which of you said this, but if you think about it, she'd probably have gotten in trouble for indecency or something. Everyone else's clothes look 1800s-ish to me in the movie. So, if that released Frozen Fever image is correct, I won't even try for the Elsa LE. It doesn't impress me. I will, however, get both the Anna and Elsa classic Frozen Fever dolls if they do that (they're cheaper, and her dress is cute, I just don't want to spend the $130 to get Elsa over Anna as a LE). Now, Anna is another story. Her Frozen Fever outfit is adorable and I love the little vest. The big, bold sunflowers perfectly match Anna's personality, I think. If the outfit translates as well as I hope it will into a LE doll, I will do my best to get Anna. I know that it will be murder to get any of the Frozen LE dolls on the secondary market afterwards. I don't know where I'm going to get the money, but maybe I'll sell some stuff. Anyways, I am very happy with Anna's Frozen Fever look. No offense to Kristoff, but I'll get the Anna LE over him. ;). Later on, I would probably want to try and find the Elsa Frozen Fever LE to go with Anna, but for the time being, I'll have to choose Anna. Perhaps I can get an Elsa 17" singing doll to keep her company in the meantime. ;)

Now, for the Cinderella LE. I am not sure if Disney will do a Cinderella one. They might, but if they do, it will probably be one of the animated character. I personally would prefer one of the live action Lily James character, but that probably won't happen. However, I do think the Cinderella LE could use a do-over. The pinkish-purple lips are so not the character, and I don't like all the rhinestones. It just came off tacky, in my honest opinion. Even the classic dolls lately I don't think capture the Cinderella character. I'm hoping for a more movie-accurate doll if they do do Cindy....but I would probably choose Anna first. I know it will be easier to get Cinderella on the secondary market further down the line than Anna.

Now for Jasmine, I'm definitely hoping for a LE. She's also on my wish list. I'm hoping for maybe some kind of feather-ish design. I really, really would love a sari, but I'm sure disney won't do that. In any event, I definitely want to purchase Jasmine when she comes out. When do you think she will be released? September? October?

Is that a pic of the Classic doll? Sorry, my French is really horrendous and I only remember the very basics so I don't know what the article says. As fun as Hans sounds, I mostly want to hear about the possible Kristoff doll! I am super girly and love the Disney Princesses, but I may dare say that Kristoff is my favourite character from Frozen. He is just so gosh darn adorable! I have a November Elsa and March Anna and would love to have at least one of each character though so I may actually be unable to resist if they make Hans too xD

LE Fawn's price seems low, but I guess for a doll that would only be known to fans of the Disney Fairies brand, that's probably about right. I'm only used to Princess releases, which is what I save my money for, so I don't know if that compares to previous Disney Fairy releases (like Tink). She's certainly beautiful, though.

The Designer Fairies are also 12" instead of the 17" size of the Limited Edition Princesses. That certainly factors into the price in my opinion. I agree though, she's beautiful! I cannot wait to see pictures of the Frozen Fever and Cinderella LE dolls!

Guys, this seems like to be a LE model?

I think that one is a fan made doll by using the November LE doll (from the frosty look of the skin, I'd say the Harrods version) and sewing up a new dress for her. It looks really well done though! Hopefully we'll hear an announcement about the Frozen Fever dolls soon :)

Good to know and I could expect much more from the official frozen short dolls now.
Do you think it would be announced in next month?

I'm not sure, I think it really depends on when they plan on releasing the dolls. We should hear a couple weeks before the release date with the edition size and such. But if they plan on releasing the dolls mid-March, we may not hear anything until the end of February or beginning of March. Just have to keep an eye out on the blog and facebook pages :) It's hard waiting though- I wanna see what the designs look like!

Ah, yeah. The size difference more than likely does factor into the cost, as well.
