DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
Hm, REALLY quiet release day! I was one of many lined up outside my store today--but one of only 2 who were there for Jasmine and not Tsum Tsums. Disney must've heard our cries of outrage over the shininess, because it's so subtle you can barely see it, even with flash photography. I took a couple pics with my phone. Surprised no one else has posted any yet...

This was the most quiet doll release I've ever experienced. I got to my store much, much later than usual and I was still the first person there. A line didn't start forming until nearly an hour later, but the majority of the people were there for the tsum tsums. When I left there were still a lot of dolls available for preorder and absolutely no one in line. The doll was on display, and she looks stunning. I agree that the shininess doesn't look so bad on this doll, and I think it actually complements her skin tone.

OMG THE HEAD PIECE! That's beautiful!! I still got 20 mins till my store opens & it looks like it's a really quiet release here too. For both tsum tsums & LE Jasmine :D

She definitely looks better in the box... now I'm a little sad I can't get her. I live an hour away from my nearest store and don't drive, and ordering online is just too expensive.

So the receipt from DS specifies that she's Jasmine LE Teal'

Why the reference to color and not just 'LE Jasmine? Aurora was 'Sleeping Beauty Pink' and 'Sleeping Beauty Blue'. Have they unintentionally confirmed another color? Or just coincidence?

I like her headpiece but I feel like the background art should have been a starry night desert sky....

I hope that does mean this is true. I want a second Jasmine in her teal outfit to take out of box, but if it's true that we are getting Jasmine in her red outfit (and she is not a D23 exclusive like the rumors that are floating around), I'll get her instead of a second teal Jasmine.

I uploaded a bunch of pictures onto my photobucket if y'all want to take a look! They aren't that great since I took them with my phone, but I hope you enjoy them!

She looks soooooo beautiful! I can't believe how much better she looks when compared to that crappy stock photo. Its also really interesting that hardly anyone lined up for her. Guess that means she will just he easier to get later on lol. I can't wait to see the red Jasmine!

I'm so happy right now! I was the 4th guest to purchase a Jasmine doll. My store opened at 10, and I arrived around 8:30. They had 14 available at my store.

It's more likely the second color for Jasmine will be purple, not red. The red outfit only appears in that one sequence at the end of the first film, while the purple outfit has appeared in two out of the three movies (as far as I remember) and the TV series.

Regal Elsa. That is all.

Yeah, but that was only AFTER her Snow Queen and Coronation outfits were released, both of which were much more iconic for Elsa.

That's true. Plus, Frozen is a LOT more popular than Aladdin is. However, several reliable sources have "confirmed" that there is going to be a doll of Jasmine in the red outfit released for the D23 expo. We won't actually know for sure if she is real or not until Disney reveals her themselves, but its starting to seem likely. I think her being a D23 expo exclusive makes sense in that regard simply because she is in that outfit for such a short amount of screen time (though I think it would be a better idea to do an online release for her and make her a lower LE number so more people could have a chance of getting her).

I almost forgot about the expo. Though, if we're going by that logic, it might be possible that we'll see BOTH the other outfits - red as the D23 exclusive and purple for the general public (however, this could be a long shot). And while we're talking LE numbers, I think it's highly likely the second outfit will be a smaller edition size. Weren't there a thousand more Pink Auroras available than Blue Auroras? If Disney's going to repeat the duplicate outfit trend, then chances are they'll do the same with the edition size.

No yes I agree, the point of my reply was for us not to underestimate the fact that Disney will make LEs out of outfits that show up for seconds in a film.

Hi all. It's been a long time since I've been here; I wasn't interested in the frozen merchandise so I have been waiting for Jasmine to add to my collection. Now it's her time :) - and I'm so unbelievably hoping for Jafar; can you imagine? The first MALE villain? I'd be super happy. It's not Facilier or Gaston, but I'd still be happy. I'm in Australia, so I need to work out the time differences. Can I confirm with everyone that the time is still midnight in the US for the pre - order? I'm happy there's not much hype going on for her, for selfish reasons haha. I've got class so I'm scared I'll miss out.
I think she's gorgeous and I can't wait to add her to my collection... though I'm honestly not sure where I can store her, my room is filled with the dolls haha.

The US has a bunch of time zones so the online time is midnight Pacific Time, or 3 am Eastern Standard Time. You can use either of those to calculate the time in Australia!

when i first saw LE jasmine's photo i was completely smitten, but now the more i look at her the more plain she seems?
idk what to do... i don't want to regret not getting her for retail while i had the chance >_<

I had success placing my pre-order in the store today (despite the surprisingly large crowd - totally forgot the tsum tsums came out today, lol), so I thankfully don't have to wait up for the online craze to start. Good luck to everyone attempting to reserve theirs online!
