Could the border around Elsa's window be anymore ugly?
What the heck happened? Who okayed that? I actually think I like the boxes from March 15 better than these.

I think the box design looks okay too; it's nice that they are adding more color to the boxes.

Honestly though, nothing about the boxes will deter me from raving about the actual dolls. Anna looks spectacular-it's SO nice they used her coronation hairstyle this time around and gave her the Harrods touch with the stockings! And Elsa is drop-dead gorgeous from her face to her shoes. I think she looks as good as if not better than the original SQ Elsa. :D I am so happy Disney finally made these dolls.

it's Tuesday morning.

I am ordering online, so unfortunately it's Wednesday morning for me. :)

Went to my DS today and they had them on display. Oh man they are exquisite! I'll post Anna & Kristoff set here too, he does comes with his hat :) I look at LE Elsa & Anna and to me they are perfection there is nothing I would change.

I was thinking on passing on Kristoff & Anna but after seeing them, I'll try for them Anna specially looks gorgeous!

Wow, I love them! It's also nice to see that all the LE Elsa's come with the appropriate shoe designs as well! I was just going to get the two 17in dolls, but with all three being relaesed at the same time I guess I might as well complete the designer set. Is it strange at all that we have a complete human main character set of LE designer dolls before getting them all in 17in forum? -We still don't have a 17in Hans, despite all the rumor teasing going around during the last Frozen release.

BTW: Matthewlondon, I completely agree, if they didn't have that string connecting them and basically come as a set anyway, I would not be getting Anna. Actually all the Anna dolls I have were purchased to complement Elsa, or Kristoff, more than anything. The thought of having an incomplete set is a bit disappointing. Still, she does look very nice, as usual, so at least you get your money's worth purchasing her.

Same! I've been hoping for them since the last Frozen release so now that they're here I'm not letting anything stop me from getting Elsa! Whether that be the rain, wind, or this cold, that has only gotten worse since this morning...possibly because of my lack of sleep last night. I had to be at work by 6am and I am NOT a morning person. Tossed and turned all night trying to sleep and a stuffy nose didn't help.

So, are the LE boxes multi-layered this time, or do they just seem that way? Anna's especially seems like it could have two covers, but then I keep thinking it's just a trick of the light.

Idk I was super big on Elsa and meh on Anna's outfit when I first saw Frozen Fever in March but every time I look at these dolls, Anna is growing more and more on me and Elsa's becoming more and more meh. Don't get me wrong, they're both gorgeous and I'll for sure be trying for both of them but just thought it's interesting how Anna looks absolutely perfect now given my initial reaction. Her face sculpt, her hair, the outfit (stockings!) and everything is just perfect!

OMG!!! THE FROZEN FEVER DOLLS LOOK SOOOO GOOD!!!! I think I am gonna cry now that I know I want Anna and I know I won't be able to get her lol. Gonna at least get the tsum tsums!

I kind of feel the same way. Even though Anna has more details than Elsa, I prefer Elsa since I like her better as a character. If I could, I would buy both in a heartbeat, but sadly that ain't happening.

Ok... So here are some initial thoughts. I'll update them once more pictures come in.

1. Anna: Anna is the less perfect of the pair. I guess a good place to start is from the top. I think it was a mistake to give her tinsel. I can understand why they did it with Elsa, but not with Anna. If Disney is trying to be pitch perfect with the dolls they've missed a few things. The end of her sleeves are wrong, but that's a tiny detail that might hard to recreate. There are some gems missing from her vest. It's really unusual for the actual clothes in the movie/short to have gems on their clothes, so I just didn't like that. I still think that the clock needs more paint, it sucks that they didn't paint it properly. Lastly, it's the skirt. So in the short, it's supposed to have a lot of layers under the skirt, which DisneyStore could have easily done. Also, I think after Elsa changes Anna's dress, I'd hoped that they would use the same material they used on SQ Elsa's cape.. The material that sparkled. It's not the worst Anna doll that's come out.
Rankings:
1. Snow Anna
2. Epilogue Anna
3. Frozen Fever Anna
4. Coronation Anna

2. Elsa: Elsa is near perfect. I love that they used tinsel in her hair because it actually works well. In the movie she's got ice on her hair and the tinsel replicates that effect. My only complaints with Elsa is the length of her hair and the cape. I think the cape is too dark. It would have nicer if they went with a lighter shade. Her dress is only one color too, in the short it's a gradient. I think the flower pins that they gave her were really low quality, especially since they could have done something close to the snowflakes in the original SQ Elsa. I don't know if they did this with the actual dolls or just the prototype, but I like that the inside of her dress is blue like it was in the short. Also, it would have been nice to display the doll on the other side, that way it can mirror the SQ Elsa doll that came out a couple of years ago. But I think they pretty much nailed this doll. *Not gonna talk about cape length -_-"*

All in all, these dolls turned out better than I expected, but as with most disneyStore things, they could have done better. They're definitely better than a lot of the other recent dolls. The boxes still look terrible to me, especially when compared to the other designs. They look so boring and uninspired. Think of the missed opportunities.

And I know that many people might not want this, but I seriously think that they should have packaged some of them together. They could have done 4,000 packaged together and 1,000 separately. Or something like that... It would have made the set look better.

You should see the material in person it's shimmery. It's got a really nice multicolored sheen to it that wasn't completely captured by the photo. The whole outfit is that way, but the material they chose for the skirt is the prettiest.

I also was only planning on buying Elsa to compliment Anna, but since seeing them in person, I love them both equally. I also really love the fact that they actually displayed and photographed the actual doll that is being released for once.

If you look in the stock photo, you can see that elsa's dress is gradient and that it doubled lined so that it's a bluish green on the inside.

As beautiful as the dolls look in the pictures, trust me it doesn't compare to how amazing they look in person. So many details and color fusion. For me everything from their boxes to the outfits, hair and accessories it all beautifully comes together. When I look at them nothing pops out of place. I feel they put just enough rhinestones, embroidery, the tinsels not overly done as well as their skin shine. It's just right! :) I find more movie/short accuracy with this ones than the originals specially Elsa. As for Elsa's long hair, it doesn't bother me anymore ( hehe...) I thinks it makes the doll look more elegant and is something I'm use to just as her not having white hair as it had been advertise in some items. I have a weakness for white hair dolls :) FF LE Dolls just don't look cheap to me, the final product I believe matches or even surpasses the price considering the previous dolls we have been getting lately.

I definitely think FF Anna is one of the most quality dolls we've seen in a while. The embroidery, the props, the face, and the hairstyling are all to a tee. Unfortunately, I really didn't like Frozen Fever (I know I'm a minority here) so I'm passing on the dolls because I can't justify buying merch of something I don't like. I wouldn't get Elsa either way because I don't like her FF dress and because I have the SQ and Coronation Elsas already anyway. But I do think both are much better quality than the past few years of doll releases we've seen. Good luck to everyone going for them! I'm looking foreward to the deboxed pics!

Only 4 more days!!!!!

OMG I'm so nervous! My Disney Store made a public announcement during the Elsa/Hans release that Anna and Kristoff would be first come first serve as well and I feel like every time they said it was an hour earlier I wanted to get in line for the dolls. Normally I don't leave the house till 3:30/4:00, but I am currently at war with myself! Part of me thinks the normal time will be more than fine since I don't see anyone else for about 2 hours anyway, but the other part says these are Frozen Dolls, one of which I've been waiting about a year for, and I should leave the house by midnight to ensure my spot...it's not like I'd get any sleep anyway. I somehow got Monday off work as well so realistically I could sleep all day Monday then sneak out of the house as soon as my mother goes to bed between 11-12:00. I'll likely end up feeling stupid for arriving so early later, as long as no one else shows up for hours as per usual, but I'll have secured my place in line and won't be having a panic attack for 3-4 extra hours so, trade offs. I'm so torn right now! :(

I wonder why they are changing to first come, first served when the raffle seemed to work well?

Probably because the Anna/Kristoff are standalone dolls? 12" designers typically are raffle (after dollmageddon 2011), but the designer fairies have been first come first serve). I'm guessing Disney just wants to be done with the doll releases and since the 17" are FCFS, they figure they can just do the 12" ones that way?

How early are you guys planning on going to your stores?
I'm considering going to my store for this doll set. I usually just order them online.
