Thanks so much for the great photos!! We're trying to downsize our collection, but I see a few I may just have to add to our wants :facepalm::hsugh:

We'll be at WDW from October 20 thru 25. I think we'll be busy because it's a first trip for my niece, her husband, and their 2 little boys (both celebrating birthdays...YAY!). Hoping we have a little time for pins :x:

No, but some of us heard from cast members that the reason there was no Pin Talk and no countdown pin was that the pin were not yet ready to be released. So I understand there may still be a countdown pin series released, just not yet.
 
Wow Wow Wow! Love most of the pins! I had resolved to NOT start any new collections until I finish the sets I have. *sigh* looks like that's NOT going to happen...
 
The MOG 18 pin Villain release, and, the DSSH Villains ornaments are just amazing in person. No information about how the MOG pins are going to be released though, as per "Ryan" at the Event. Told them they need MANY more cash registers at the WDW pop-up store (waited 2 1/2 hours to check out in May) he said that they noted it lol!!

Relieved but also a little disappointed that the only pins on the boards that appear to fit my collections are the two F&W Figment pins. :|

Tell you what I'll do, Greywyvern. You can collect kitties, dragons and Stitch pins for the next year and panic like crazy at all of the high-priced, low LE's about to erupt and I'll collect Figment pins for the next year while I sit back and enjoy the calmness and my flat-- but not negatively so- wallet. :lol:

Although, not in this thread, and although he is a rather sad looking Figment...in the next batch of Hidden Mickey pins, one of the attraction icons is Figment, and he is also the chaser pin for that series. First pin in the WDW section, and last pin in chasers:

Also, the only previews it looks like people got this year are the rest of the 2016 pins coming out thru December. Not 2017 pins. Figment already had his pin for the quarterly series like Magical Montage, and the AP crests. There are likely new series that we don't know about yet, coming next year.
 
Going through some FB photos, again. If you look at the Spaceship Earth pin with the Santa Hat. It's a hinged pin, and I think I see purple in the second layer... And it's not one that says "Passholder" on the card.

I guarantee that these are either going to be cast exclusive or for those who are attending the Destination D event in November.

Yup! I saw those ones. Not really worried about them too much as I have two WDW trips coming up in the next 5 months. (I know, CRAZY, right???) Plenty of chance to trade for it. :fig: Hope they get released soon.

I'll be in WDW the last week of October into the beginning of November, and also in January 2017! Since it's a Christmas pin, it might be released and sold out in the window that I'm not there :|
 
The Epcot Christmas pins are usually sold during the Holidays Around the World celebration which runs from Thanksgiving to Christmas. One merchandising policy to keep in mind. In the past, WDW puts much of its Christmas pins on 50% off sale around December 15. So, if you are arriving after Christmas or New Years, the pins may be gone.
 
If you collect the Christmas gingerbread house pins from the WDW resorts, there were no pins or drawings on display. The WDW rep said that there may five-six pins this year: Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club?, and Epcot American pavilion. The drawings from the hotels did not arrive on time; hence, production timeline was set back. IMHO, WDW is also suffering from the shipping delays like DLR.

She could not comment on whether the DLR hotels would be participating in the Christmas gingerbread house pin series this year. I also asked about the DLR Haunted Mansion Gingerbread House pin series (which is several years behind). She told me that the final design of the HM gingerbread house is completed too late to have a pin ready in time for Halloween. I suggested that they do another mystery box series to catch up with the missing years.
