This HAS seemed to have happened in the past, at least the past 2 years, before the Pin Event. Maybe the increased activity on the site overloads the server??

Anywho.... Not only can I not stay on PinPics but, my Internet provider has been spending DAYS working on an outage in our area!! Thank goodness for a reliable 4G connection and an unlimited plan on my phone!! :) Otherwise I wouldn't know WHAT is happening here. :tigger:

This could not be happening at a worse time for me. I'm trying to zap people over here! I need to see their wants!! >.<

No worries, I'll send you my excel spreadsheet of wants. :)

(Just teasin!)

PinPics is unmatched for older pins, but if you want a place to keep track of newer trades and wants, pintradingdb.com is amazing. It's so up to date (largely thanks to @starry_solo), and adding pins is super easy (and immediate!).

Aww, thanks! Yes, I'm trying to keep them up to date. Luckily there are a few people that allow me to use any of their eBay pics, including DPF user @mydpins :) and @watzshakinbacon provides great pics of the DSSH pins.

So, my hope is that I can get older pins from My D Pins too :D

I'm really lucky when it comes to PTDB: you've uploaded your Mulan pins so there's entries for all of my wants! :)

LOL, I am sure there are a few I haven't taken pictures for! Sometimes I get lazy and don't want to remove the pins from the bags so that the picture would be the pin by itself ;)

Flickr user DRJ1828 lets me use his pictures too, when he buys pins! :D

How come this is the first I am hearing about this site?

I have no idea @MasteringMatt , @ryanfury created it a few years ago. Right now, we have about 17000 pins listed there but the plan is for it to keep growing, etc.

I bugged @ryanfury to see if he can make it a secure website too. We will see what happens.

Issues continuing today. :(
Earlier this week, I was able to log in and get to pages by reloading them, but for the past few days reloading is not working at all.
Today I am able move around the gallery (with difficulty and black boxes cover part of or all of some of the pins in the gallery), but I cannot log in at all. Logging in takes me to the white screen of death.

Pinpics couldn't be giving alternate pin trading databases a better gift right now. If current users come to realize that pinpics isn't going to be there when we need it and that the site isn't reliable, they will flock to other options. I know pinpics doesn't see this as a crisis, but it really could become one...

Personally, I would boycott/avoid all of their other stuff (Pinopolis games, pin trading events, etc.) until they put the focus and effort into fixing the PinPics site. While it is not a direct revenue sources for them, it is vital to us collectors to stay in touch with this hobby. I did "systems" work for over 25 years and trust me, the issue that is going on now can be resolved very quickly, if desired. Obviously they choose to spend their time and effort in other areas. The fact that they"do not own the servers" is not an excuse to have your premier entry point to the hobby crippled and out of service.
