You could use ”/s” or you could just change your username to ”AvatarAng1”

There's usually more of a heads up, all the way around.

As the queen of sarcasm, I totally got your post. :) I understand and feel your pain. :) One of my youngest
daughter's first words was sarcastic. Pretty sad when your two year old says to someone..."Are you being
sarcastic?"

BTW, I really love those Robin Hood pins. I agree with Hopemax. Southwest points are going to be used. Maybe.

As long as we're beating the dead horse about sarcasm, I will back you up @MerlinEmrys--I use sarcasm excessively but I thought @Abyssinian28 was serious.

(A) I'm sure plenty of my sarcastic posts have been misread, so I'm not trying to throw you under a bus, Abyssinian28.

(B) I think part of the difficulty (beside the lack of emojis to clearly indicate "don't take this seriously" ha ha) is that most of us, at this point, have probably encountered too many folks on a variety of social platforms who ARE actually that entitled and deadly serious when they whine that "You all are 'responsible' for telling me things, buying me things, etc etc." Clearly, that was NOT the case here. But my personal Sarcasm-O-Meter needs to recalibrated for modern society. Swap out the name on the post and put it on FB or IG and I'm telling you, it is not sarcastic. It's real. Some people are actually that ridiculous these days.

But since this was a total misunderstanding and we're all clear on sarcasm now, maybe it's time we all get a life and move on. :p <-- SARCASM!!!!!

What I really need is a collection of gifs to use...gifs make everything better.
 
I may or may not be let out early depending on the fires. I will pop by DSF once I get home, and hopefully these will still be there.
 
I'm honestly a little surprised DSSH went ahead with a surprise release today given all the fires, and evacuations, and freeway closures... maybe could have waited till after things have calmed down a little?
 
I was thinking that, too. Part of me wonders if they put it out because of that, since that might make the crowds a bit lighter? I just hope no one does anything dangerous to get to DSF to get these.

I have a thought...suggestion... for the 2019 thread.

Earlier this year, a friend of mine asked me for some release info. I thought it would be a simple task to find it on this thread. But it took me 20 minutes going through pages of mostly comments to find the actual post with the picture and release dates. So as a reference/ tool, this thread is not very efficient. What if we had 2 threads? One where we all comment and awwww over the pins, same as this thread. But have a second thread with pictures and release info only. No comments, no other posts. and if someone posts on the thread, it gets deleted.

Thoughts........

I have had the same sort of thoughts. Although, I think people would just end up posting the pics in two places just so that people in the other thread know what they are talking about. And I'm not sure how useful that is either. I don't mind some discussion, and sometimes its useful because others add more information about a pin or release. But sometimes it ends up 3 pages of gifs and off-topic discussion, and maybe people could be a little better at that.

An index at the beginning, is an idea, and work well for things like Release Calendars. But it could get unwieldy with all the intermittent releases, where it's a single pin or two, like what I posted with the new HKDL game pins, or when people find new OEs. Unless we did something like, not only have an index at the beginning, but a monthly index in the middle in the thread. So something like

January - Catchall - link
February Flyers - link
February - Catchall - link
March Flyers - link

etc. For a total of 24 links.

Then on the first of the month, a mod or someone who wants to handle it could make two posts. One containing, that month's Flyers (parks, PTD's etc), and the other a list of links to the more random releases people find in a month.
