Maybe have a "Sticky" thread called like 2019 Display Case and we can post normally in the 2019 release thread and comment and all, but a Mod (or someone) add the pictures to the Sticky?

So nothing would change for the 2019 Release thread (so we can still post pictures, commentary, etc), but we just add one that's pictures only.

Speaking my mind! I like this idea best. Stickies are nice and easy to find and if it's well-curated, it'll be a great resource.

I think some text is needed, like release dates or retail cost, or other such links to register for events related to said release? Not sure what’s sticky’s are...

Mayhaps we should run a beta for December 2018 to get the Kinks out so 2019 goes down fresh and so clean clean...just an idea...because with 6234 posts on this thread (and counting) meant for releases, basically, this is us right now...

I'm all for creating a more pin info focused thread for 2019! I love the enthusiasm here and the resulting conversations and gif posting but it can make finding usable info difficult, especially if you take a few days off from the forum and a big preview drops!

I'm for this too! After trying to "wade through" pages and pages and pages of gifs and perceived "attacks"/sarcasm misunderstandings, I get tired of trying to find out about new releases here and go elsewhere.

250 pages (and counting) are TOO MUCH!! :tigger:
 
I know this doesn’t solve the problem. But you should all try Remind 101 as a DPF New Release, mass texting means for new releases. If two to three people serve as the admins, when a new release happens they could just “message all” and everyone in the “class” would get a text to their phones. The only people who would have access to the actual phone numbers would be the admins. Don’t know how many people you could add to a single class but it’s definitely easier getting a text than having to check the forum all the time.
 
Y’know I realize it’s “another” site to have to check, but Disneypinsblog.com really does do an awesome job of just posting all the releases and all the info.
They post each week with that week’s park releases too. They’re on FB, and IG and they cross post most stuff there too.
I’d urge anyone to just add that site to their rotation if they just want the latest pin news without the banter.

I think if we do a sticky’d thread, it shouldn’t be on the mods to have to copy/paste everything over, but if we all contribute, it would help out.

I'm thinking mods don't have to run it necessarily, just make it a Sticky. I just checked, and the PTD discussion thread is a Sticky, but Starry started it. So maybe that's the hitch? It has to be started by a mod? I don't know. Hahah

Edit: but on that same token, Dpb's website is searchable, which is handy. :3

Oh no, I didnt actually go. Im more of a shopper than a do-er. I dont collect funkos anyway but if I went to an art exhibit and the merch was just plain jane regular mickey Id probably be a little disappointed
