Does anyone even check their pin pics inbox anymore? I have sent out numerous requests for my most wanted in my signature. I'm offering pins that they want and they are not open edition, Hidden Mickey's, or Limited Release. I'm offering very good low edition pins.
Ive sent requests out, every week for the last month and not one answer.
I recognize some user names.
So my question is does anyone even use pin pics trade assistant any longer?
Thank You

Well actually the more I thought about it, the more concerned I got. It seems like a lopsided trade in my favor. That said, I messaged her and asked her to pick another pin to go with the one she wants. Luckily, she collects Christmas pins and I have a few in her wants.
Thank You

I am receiving most of my requests through email again. I am trying to always reply even if they are lopsided trade offers. Unless I keep getting the same request multiple times from the same sender and then those just get deleted. I am have good luck in using the trade assistant, but I am not looking for high end pins either. I like to trade just to feed my pin trading addiction. But the trade still has to make sense.

I always make an effort to reply to all of the requests I receive. Yes, there were some that didn't make sense such as a low LE for a booster pack pin or Hidden Mickey, but I do not ignore any of those and at least give them a response. Just doing to others what I would like done for me :)

I check everyday and in the last month I made three trades. But before that I had no requests and no replies for months. I was sure that there was something wrong with pinpics.

Your response was very ethical and responsible - good pin karma is in your future!

After I did my first trade through Pinpics, with another first-timer, I was motivated to try initiating some trades. Four requests sent out, not a word back. Not even a polite refusal. I, too, am wondering how often people check, and how many don't respond at all if they don't like the trade offer. It's very frustrating!

I always check for activity when I use trade assist. If they haven't added a pin in the past couple months or they haven't taken advantage of the grail feature I assume their inactive. It seems like there a lot of dead accounts with really great pins listed. I have one user I wish I could just hide because we have a ton of matches but they haven't updated added a pin since 2011.

I always try to answer, all though sometimes I take a week or so if I get multiple offers for the same pin. I've gone through super active spells and then nothing for a while. I always write a comment when I offer trades and that seems to help.

I check my inbox once in a while. Sometimes I don't get emails to my inbox anymore when there is a new request and sometimes there are. I can't figure out why sometimes it works and others it doesn't.

I know if I've sent out trade offers I always follow up checking logging in more to see if anyone is interested. If someone offers a trade I'm not interested I try to take the time to check if there are other pins we have in common for wants/traders to see if as a whole it would be interesting but not exactly the one for one trade they were offering.

I had a crazy pinpic trade run a week or so ago making 3-5 great trades- my box has been quiet since then except for the typical mystery box open edition for my wdi sorcerer pins..

I try to make sure that I answer all trade requests unless I keep getting the same request from the same person over and over. If this happens I will answer the first couple but if it continues then I just start deleting them because I have already sent replies back a few times.
Not sure about everyone else but I have to keep checking my trade assist inbox because sometimes I will get trade requests and never receive an email to let me know that I got one. It seems to be hit or miss.

I can help with this one because I asked about it before. You have to opt in to receive and or send the emails. They had an issue on the old site with a lot of service providers claiming that their emails were spam. Never mind the fact that you had to sign up to be on pinpics and receive the email requests in the first place. It is why they tried to keep it in house.

It amazes me that some offer a mystery limited release, open edition or Hidden Mickey pin for a lower limited edition pin. Like really, they pop up when I'm using the trade assistant, but I skip right over them. I try to keep the trade fair for both of us.

Just so you know I'm signed up to receive e-mails but some still end up in my spam folder , it seems to be ones where the username is random (I'm sure it means something to the trader but to me it's gobbledygook :))
Others come through without any issues .

People still aren't checking often enough. I send out requests and don't get responses. With David being the new mod, I think people will start using Pinpics again. They are making improvements all the time.

I check my PP mailbox frequently and try to respond to every request. Even if it's to say "No thanks". I have been making alot of trades since the trade assist has been "fixed".

PinPics trade assist by user algorithm has been updated in the past month or so to where results are now sorted based upon their activity-level on the site as a whole. This means that dead/inactive accounts will always be near the bottom and more active PinPics users near the top :) Rest assured, that if you're using this feature and messaging one of the accounts near the top of the results you ARE MESSAGING A LIVE ACCOUNT!

There was issues in the past with newer traders continually messaging dead/inactive accounts and becoming discouraged.

I do however I got burned sending out a pin and never got my other pin back in trade.

I'm waiting for a merit system to be in place. I do reply to all requests however
