2013 Fairytale Designer Collection
Amazing job!! May I ask how you did Anna's hair? It looks gorgeous!

Well it was really hard lol! But as you know I took out her braids and tried to comb her hair as straight as I could. But...when I combed her hair, she only has hair on one side of her head! The other half is completely bald!!! And there was like a piece of hair on the other side that was rooted on that side so I braided that piece and left it until I straighten the hair as much as I could. Then I wrapped a clear rubber band around her head to hold the braid in place. Then the rest of the hair I just wrapped around to make a bun then rubber band that. Then I used scissors to get rid of some frizzy spots and hair gel to hold it in place.

I noticed that Jas and Al are still on the site. So seems to be a trend that these are not selling out online quickly. Which gives me hope for getting Ariel. I just found out that I cant take the store release day off, so Im going to have to get her online.

- I love the OOAK Frozen designer dolls that you've made! I mean the dolls itself is already great enough but I love the other touches you did to them. Great job! From what I heard though, this is probably the biggest turn out so far with aladdin & jasmine for most of the Disney stores. Yes it is still available online, soo get it while you guys still get a chance!

Just bought me one lol!

I know this is OT but has anyone from UK noticed our Disney site has changed? Its a lot more like the US one - now if only we could get all the same merchandise I'd be a happy girl!

went to the DS on Tuesday after work all the Jas and Al were gone. online you can still get the dolls must be less speculators that the designer dolls in 2011 which is a win for the true collectors.
we bought Rapunzel and Flynn online and received it in 5 days
purchase it online before its gone, good luck everyone

I see a few posts on ebay buying price approx. $200.00

Buying online has been super easy so far, but I expect Belle and Ariel to be much tougher. I often wonder if I miss out on the excitement by not having a store to go to, but I guess I also miss out on the stress.

I called my two local disney stores yesterday in hopes of finding a couple or even a few Jasmine and Aladdin dolls but they were sold out! I was shocked because I didn't think they were going to go the first day like the other dolls did. I heard less talk about this set than all the other ones. Had to buy mine on line but that's okay. I'm hoping it arrives soon so that I can raise a proper muck if it's poor quality and get a replacement.

Hello everyone. I'm new here and all I can say is that I can't wait until Ariel and Eric come out! I'm going to try going to 1 of my local disney stores and see if I get lucky, if not then I'll get them online.

When it comes Belle and Ariel I really doubt they will last days as the others did, especially Ariel. Ariel seems to be the one that the majority want, including myself. Tensions are high to get her, many people I have spoken to have expressed a higher interest in her compared to the rest. Ariel has always been one of the most popular princesses, but it seems that in the past couple of years their has been an outrageous amount of people who are suddenly expressing a high interest in her. I miss the days when I did not get stressed out about getting Little Mermaid merchandise for my collection. At least with the Ariel in the Fairytale collection I am at ease because my sister is giving me the one from the set she ordered. So a sigh of relief there. I am still crossing my fingers for LE Eric, I want him so bad. :anxious:

Do people really think Belle is highly sought after? For sure Ariel is, but I didn't realize people liked the BatB set so much. Is it because the collection is picking up steam or do people really like the set? I thought people hated the Beast. Rapunzel would at least be more wanted than Belle, no? I honestly think this is the best Belle doll released so far, but I'd put the set as my second least favorite (though I do love them all).

I'm with you, Ariel is the one that I want the most. Im getting really nervous about not getting her now that I can only do online.

LM and BatB are my two favorite movies/princesses. HOWEVER, I'm not that impressed with Belle in this collection so I'm skipping her. I was looking at pictures again today and I actually think Beast's outfit is done nicer than Belle's I'm tired of always seeing Belle in that same yellow dress, while all the other dolls kind of got an upgrade in what they are wearing, Belle looks just like the classic doll to me. And I don't like the molded head on Beast, but I do love his jacket. I think Ariel looks the best out of all the dolls so I definitely want her. I did get Rapunzel too.

I was one of the people who was intially against the set, but after seeing better pics of the set and seeing it person, I've grown to like it. It will be popular in my area for sure. Almost all of her merchandise from this collection is sold out except for 1 mug.

At the rate I'm going, I may end up getting all the sets lol.

I like the Beauty and the Beast couple. I think the Beast looks awesome! I'd imagine if he was made out of some sort of fuzzy material that he'd look more like a plush than a doll. And his mane, if made out of some hair stuff, wouldn't be as smooth looking at it should look. Too much maintenance for a male doll, perhaps?

I agree! I too was not so thrilled when pictures came out, but when I went in person to the DS, I fell in love with the set and Beast looks so much better than pictures do him justice. I am contemplating getting them. They look wonderful!

Well I decided awhile back that I would be getting the entire set. These dolls are just too gorgeous for me to pass up. So far I have the first four, Gold Snow White/Prince, Snow White/Prince, Rapunzel/Eugene, and Jasmine/Aladdin. I'll be soooo happy to add Belle/Beast and Ariel/Eric into my collection!!!

Seeing all of these pictures makes me wish I did not have to wait until Oct 15 to get my set

I haven't ordered any dolls online as that would mean I would have two of each but it just makes me nervous seeing them all sell out and me not knowing if my set will be perfect or not. Only a few more weeks to go!

Polaris: I can only imagine having to wait that long.....it doesn't seem reasonable to make people wait that long for the set. I think what would be better is if you pre-ordered the whole set as soon as the first doll in the series is released you get your whole set. That way if there is any problem with your dolls you can wait until the other dolls are released and replace them. Makes more sense then making you wait....

I just took the classic dolls and re did them to look designer-ish and added eyelashes...I redid her hair too and used other clothes from dolls.
Holy moly! I just saw your dolls and they look amazing! I'm way too scared to deal with eyelashes, but I'm in the process of making Elsa's coronation gown. Seeing your dolls has now inspired me even more!

I was scared to but those eyelashes are stick ons not rooted. So it doesn't ruin the doll and looks neat! Only $5 and you just have to put then on the black part of the eyes and make it look neat. I say if you want you can try it, it wouldn't hurt since the eyelashes are like stickers

I wish I had the patience in order to make those! I love doing artsy stuff and making things but I just don't seem to have the patience to do them anymore. However, when your in school and interning that might be the reason why! LOL

I've had my dispatch text and email - my Jasmine will hopefully be here tomorrow :anxious:

I'm so glad she isn't sold out yet because I'm worried how she will turn out because the company delivering her are rubbish.

Ooohhh...thanks for that. May have to give it a try...

But back on topic, I for one am relieved I have the only two I told myself I could get. All of these dolls sure do hurt the wallet.
