New Frozen Tokyo look awesome, but are they really pins? They look plastic like the other silhouettes that recently came out.

I kinda cringe every time I see these.
They're a cute idea and all, but they could have been illustrated SO much better.
It looks like something taken from the DeviantArt page who hasn't quite refined their skills yet and the hearts all have that overly deep cleavage.
They're definitely not up to the artistic standards I'd expect from Disney.

I know what you mean; Hades, Maleficent, and Chernabog look especially bad to me because the look like weirdly shaped bras.

March first in Tokyo

A couple of these have been on ebay already for like $40, I really hope they're aren't fakes already...

Wait..... those are hearts ?? :P

These are beautiful pins and I don't even collect princess pins of any kind! Curious to know, where do you keep finding these sneak preview pictures, Romancing_Train?

I'm pretty good at go ogling stuff! And a friend in Hong Kong and Tokyo doesn't hurt either! But these I found on ebay as a pre-sale for march.

The heart series says three chasers and I think the third, other than the Cruella and Chernabog, has to be the tiny Smee next to the Captain Hook heart. For real, I want the tiny Smee. That's just too freaking cute.

So - question on the Villiantine hearts - they look familiar. Why ? Because I could have sworn someone post a thread a while back that they were goofing around and thinking about pin designs just for fun - and then posted a pic of their design, similar to that one. Does anyone else remember that ?

Yup.
It's possible they bought someone's fanart to produce as pins. It happens sometimes, not just with Disney, but lots of companies out there have bought/licensed someone's work to use.

^ Not quite. This was art developed by Disney's marketing team - the Yellow Shoes Group - a year ago. Someone posted that art here - from the Disney Parks blog - and suggested it would make good pins. Obviously Disney thought so internally as well, since the art was previewed last September for the pins coming out next week.

Yup, I just found that myself.
I still feel they could have been polished more. The idea is cute and all, but they need work.

I didn't want to say anything because I thought it would be inappropriate, but now I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who sees "cleavage" in those Villaintines hearts
That being said though, I still want Cruella and Facilier :)
