2019 PTD Discussion Thread...new PTDs 12/3/19
With all the 10th anniversary Up pins out, I'm glad I don't need any of the PTD's (not even as trader's). My money has to go towards obtaining all the Up pins. My wallet is really going to hurt.

Why is the same Willerstein pin being released again?
 
It's Summer, it's hot, it's ice cream weather and there are lots of tourists. I will never understand why they wait so long between flips. It's like throwing money away. That place is SO mismanaged. I understand them not wanting to have a constant flip like they used to because people would just be hanging out there and crowding the store inside and out, but to let a week or more go by without making the pin sundaes available is idiotic unless they ran out of the pins completely.

Anyway, since I'm obviously bored, what character would you most like to see on a new sundae pin? It can be a character that hasn't been on one of these yet or one that has but you'd like a new one with a new pose, different design, etc. I kind of want to see a new Oswald. I like the one they already did, but other characters have multiples so why not Oswald?

I’m waiting for a Gadget (Rescue Rangers)! I’d also like to see a Jane Porter (Tarzan) PTD, But Gadget is definitely my most wanted!!

Maybe, that's the point. They are getting enough traffic without needing 100 pin traders cramming the store and make it hard for the tourists to shop?

Maybe....KIM POSSIBLE??????? lol. I was halfway hoping with the release of the tv movie (bad as it was) that they would put out a PTD of Kim. Of course, I was still surprised to see the OE pin appear recently. But even better than Kim would be a PTD of Ron Stoppable, who is not on a single pin at all.:(
 
I was hoping for a flip today since I had a super early day out in the field for work and was at home pretty much since noon. But then I remembered that DSF hates putting out pins on days when I can actually go and get them without wading through rush hour traffic hours after the release. XD

I think the reason they don't put them out so often is exactly that. They get enough traffic from regular tourists and from people letting out of El Cap after movie showings that they don't necessarily need to add/would prefer not to deal with the crowds of PTD people on top of the normal traffic.

There are several PTDs I'd love to see. My main not done yet wants are Gadget, Mufasa, Riley, Mr. Carrot, Lexington (any Gargoyles PTD, really, but Lex is my favorite), Hawkeye (if they add in Marvel) and Salacious Crumb (if they add in Star Wars). My main duplicate character wants are Hula Timon, Judy in her farmer outfit, and Robin Hood in any of his disguises (but mainly the stork...there isn't a single official Stork Robin pin).

I was going to comment that your comment from yesterday about "flipping when you could get there" really nailed it. But then I wasn't sure if Flash and Scar were "needs" or more on the casual "if I can get it, great!" Flash is 500, so there's that at least.

Did you do something to upset the DSSH Gods?

I don't need Flash (though I have several full Zootopia friends who may), but I do need Scar to remain Lion King PTD complete.
 
Since we were discussing ptds that we would like DSF to put out, I would like the following (not all Mr. Toad):

1) Another Mr. Toad (everyone else seems to get at least two) like in disguise

Rest in no particular order
2) other main toad characters (moles, ratty, Cyril, macbadger, judge)
3) Brer Rabbit (also other brer characters) - shouldn’t there be at least one by now?
4) Fates
5) Hercules’ human parents
6) cyclops and/or Nessus
7) Titans
8) other gods like Hermes
9) Icarus, Cassandra, or my favorite from the series, Adonis
10) Chicha, Bucky, Rudy, Ms. Birdwell, or my dream, theme song guy Tom Jones
