Thank you!

Not strictly about new releases, but how are you all displaying/storing your dolls? Mine are currently living in my closet, but between them (in their boxes) and normal closet things, I can probably accommodate like one more before I'm out of closet space. Most of my bookshelves only go about halfway up the wall, so maybe floating wall shelves?

Tangentially related: I've met the film and stage Elsa performer (Willemijn Verkaik) in my avatar... wish I could have had her autograph my dolls' boxes, but they would have taken up my entire luggage space!

In a closet, unfortunately. But at least most are out of their shipper boxes!

If anyone is interested....CapitalOne Shopping is offering 30% cash back now at DisneyStore. I bought two dolls with the 22.5% cash back and one I officially got and the other is pending (takes about a month to clear). They don't do referrals, so all I can say is sign up, get the browser extension, go look at a doll, and you will probably get an e-mail within 48 hours with the offer :)

What do you have to provide to get the cash back? Is it like Rakuten?

Yes, like Rakuten, Retailmenot, etc. They have an app, so you can click through there, or on their website, or thru an email. You just have to click thru and then make purchase during that session. And, while they will send you an offer “hey, you looked at this storybook ornament, get 30% cash back…” you don’t have to buy that specific thing as it’s really offering you cash back on anything on website up to a certain amount (usually says up to $150 cash back or something around that). Also…if you have the browser extension, you can usually see on their website checkout page if you click the capitaloneshopong icon while on that page….you should see “you are getting 30% off this purchase” and if it says something else like a lesser %, close the page and start over. They do offer so many different % at the same time, you might make a mistake. I also screen shot that final page “just in case”😅

Hi, im Jazz from Germany and im new in this forum. I started collecting Disney dolls in 2021, Cruella was my first one :)

Like most people here I desperately wanted the new Ariel doll…and it was an absolute shitshow today (sorry, there isn’t a better word for this). Worst release ever.
On the front page was a picture of Ariel, but it only linked to the „limited edition“-section. At release time she didn’t show up there…you could only find her via the search in the pop-up, not even after pressing enter. Obviously most people didn’t realize this until it was too late…happy bots/ scalpers, sad collectors.

I really hope, that the US release will be better. But if not, at least you are prepared :)

Europe usually only gets 500-1000 of the dolls so I think it might be better.

Welcome! I'm sorry your experience was so bad, and I hope you may have another way to get her. I know they release in Japan and other places than the US at different times, but I have no idea what the shipping policies are like. I have been collecting since 2014 and it used to be like that every release. I'm hoping the US release isn't too bad, but she is very popular. Thank you for the warning.

I think so. It’s normal, that the dolls are sold out in minutes/ seconds. We are used to it.
The problem this time was that you could only find the doll if you searched for „Ariel“ („limited“, „doll“ or anything else didn’t work either), not via the link that Disney themselves linked. We all were at the wrong place. That never happened before.
