Well...as for right now it's a suprise. I'm going to do a post in here about it when it gets closer to the time to start the auction xD I hope a lot of people like it...

Aw, Well, heres the thing. its a points value bidding system. So If you find enough decent but not insane awesome pins, your point values will add up.

ANYONE can find nice pins to bid. And the wonderful thing is, every pin from the winning bid is gonna go out as zaps too.
 
As indicated on the OP, the start date for this gift auction will be on Saturday November 24th. I will likely be posting it on the DPF auction house immediately after This current POC thanksgiving auction I have running.

Again. start date for gift auction is November 24th. End date is December 3rd.

I am running it with these dates to give it 2 full weekends for people to find pins they wish to bid.

I know everyone is super excited! I am ecstatic!

A quick question... Is this open to any and all members including Mod's??? and can anyone be sent the item again including the MOD's??? I wouldn't see why not, but I would like to be clear about it... Could we also send it to you... LOL ... Again just want everyone to be clear about things up front...
 
Great questions Moe!!!

1~ Mods: What Mods may and may not do regarding the auctions is in their own rule book. I would not seek to change that. IF Mods are allowed to bid on the auctions, then of course they can bid on my auction. Heck, if they technically aren't supposed to bid on normal auctions, I would think this would be an exception because the pin is not for themselves!
2~ Can you send it to a MOD or to me??? Of course you can! Mods can be zapped, why not gifted with this auction win? I had not even for a moment considered someone might want to gift me the pin in this auction. As awesome as this pin is, it is not one that fits anything I collect. There are so many DPF members whom i know would put this pin in a frame, or make it the centerpiece of their collection. They would be the best choices for this auction.

Which reminds me of something I was thinking about. I am struggling to word this right.... I am not doing this gift auction to solicit gifts and zaps from my fellow traders. If someone Really truly wants to make me the recipient of this pin, that is their choice. The winning bidder can choose anyone as their recipient. If someone wants to zap me because I am doing this gift auction that is fine, wonderful, and incredibly kind. But this incredible pin, this jewel of a giant jumbo pin belongs in a collection where it can be completely appreciated. I do not Collect Ariel, or Stitch, please choose someone who can love this pin the way it deserves.
