Another wrist banded random draw release
A decent idea that needs a little fine tuning. With that said, WHO TF are all of these people????????

Even after the wristbands, the voucher line is a free for all. I'm even further back than I was for the wristband line. Sigh
well, this method totally failed, then. they were supposed to do voucher draws by your wristband #. sigh.. it was a nice idea...

i mean, what's the point of the wristbands if A) they didn't go out in the order people lined up and B) they didn't determine the order that you draw your voucher.

i mean, c'mon, DSF. stop handing out vouchers for a second, stand somewhere high up with a bullhorn and tell them that NO ONE is getting any more vouchers until people line up in wristband order!
at least, that's what i would do if i were in charge...

Can someone who is there describe the voucher process a bit more? Information from DSF made it sound like the number of vouchers would match the number of wristbands and someone from DSF would draw numbers corresponding to wristband and those people would be provided with vouchers. Is this not how it is going?

cause the announcement says that the number of vouchers will match the number of people in line, but that doesn't make sense. that would mean that the first person in line could get a voucher # 299 and not be guaranteed anything

Yes, there are 299 vouchers, so if everyone who pulls 1 to 250 get their allotment, there will be 49 people who go away with nothing
right, but those 49 people could be anywhere in the line? that's the part i'm not understanding. i mean, i guess that gives everyone the same chance, but it really sucks if those 49 people followed all the rules and were early in the line

The point DSF is trying to make is that lines don't guarantee you anything so there is no urgency to stay overnight, push to get in line etc

In brief, the idea of wristbands and vouchers:

Wristbands would be handed out to all who showed up in line. No particular numbered order would apply to the wristbands, as I understand it. It is simply a marker and counter for who gets a voucher chance.

Only wristbanded folks would be able to draw from the bag. The voucher bag is supposed to contain an amount equal to the number of wristbands handed out. 300 wristbands. 300 vouchers. 500 wristbands. 500 vouchers.

Only the vouchers with numbers 1-150 would be entitled to a pin set, marquee, and possible surprise pin (depending on the LE of the surprise pin). 151-250 would be for marquees only and possibly for any leftovers from the set. 251-whatever would be for what's left over from the two previous blocks.

Hopefully, I've explained it in a manner simple enough for everyone to understand (not meant as an insult. there just seems to be a ton of confusion)

DSF should have still maintained an orderly line though. Customers are used to lines and used to the idea that first in line should have gotten them a wristband first. It wouldn't be so hard for any normal distribution, but I think DSF must actually work on ways to screw up simple.

The point DSF is trying to make is that lines don't guarantee you anything so there is no urgency to stay overnight, push to get in line etc
and yet... people are still doing it. i guess it makes sense, tho. the "lining up" part of me dislikes it, but i guess that really is a fairer method

this is the explanation that should've been on the flyer ^^ the wording on the flyer just made me assume otherwise. but i get it now, thanks.

I'm at 116

my friends got 186 and 228, they're happy with the marquee tho
DPF folks are doing pretty well so far! ^^

btw, i didn't get an answer earlier. when would you all find out if there's a surprise pin? would they already have said something, or not until people start going in to buy pins?

You keep posting that you aren't going to go back to DSF unless they change things but yet you keep going to all the releases. It can't be that bad for you then I guess.

i think he's just judging from the reports from others, actually. doesn't sound like he's there himself

299 wristbands handed out

So basically I was right... If I went I would be number 300 then I would have had exactly a 50/50 chance to get the full set... Seems like a waste of time and gas... What will the next one be like on a Saturday and a bigger release... Yikes I predict 600 wristbands go out that day...!!!
