Another wrist banded random draw release

I started just this year collecting and had to have the DSF Iron Man 3 pins. Took the family Saturday and casually strolled in asking to buy them. The puzzled look on the employee was priceless and gave me the camping two days prior recap. DPF is a great source for a newbie like me. :facepalm:
 
wouldn't it be nutty (and kinda mean), if, right before they start letting people come in to buy pins, they put up the sign saying that they have a new PTD?

at least everyone in line would get to have ice cream for breakfast! ^^

EDIT: oh, right, they don't serve ice cream until 11. then they wouldn't put that sign up, cause that would make half the line want to hang around until 11.

Funky line, but we're here. The back of the line (where we are) is up on the loading dock area. Because they need to keep it clear, we can only stand on part of it and must stay behind cones. More people are arriving and the line is getting jumbled.

y'all will start getting wristbands in about 10 minutes, right? and then drawing lots a half hour after that?

Haha seriously. There's. good mix of the usual people and lots of new faces. I guess the random drawing appealed to a lot of people!

I will say though that they could have organized this mess of a line better.

whatever kinks there are today, they'd better get them sorted before next week. that release is bound to be a lot crazier, dont'cha think?

lol ^^ it's funny that they have this whole complicated wristband and voucher system, but they failed at putting up the ropes.

so, if there WERE a surprise release today, when would you find out? would it not be until you go in to purchase the pins? or would they already have said something?
 
Argh!! From these organization mess reports, why does DSF manage to figure out ways to screw things up EVERY SINGLE TIME? All they had to do was organize the line and hand out wristbands in order. How hard is that to do? Apparently, for DSF, IMPOSSIBLE!
 
Fingers crossed that everyone on DPF who is in line gets a wristband and their number is pulled early. Even though DSF seems to have a unique way of passing out wristbands, there is no difference between 1 and 1000, every number has an equal chance of being the first to buy pins. Good luck, everyone.
