Agreed!! Either Thanksgiving or the Thursday after, I do all my Christmas shopping on Black Friday. C'mon Disney, get it together. Tho, I don't know why I am surprised...12 years and nothings changed. They are still doing stupid things.

Since the pin will sell out no matter what, they don't care who can make it and who can't.

This was my exact thought as to why they are doing it that day. They are only screwing over other people, but in the end, they can't be hurt by the move since some people will snag as many as possible and then sell them to make hundreds of dollars, and then buy that TV they missed out on -__-
 
I mean if a big time ebay person wanted to, they could go to wdw, get a jillion scenes, then fly here and get a load more scenes. Yeah with the wristbands a single person can't get AS many, I've still seen people go to one location, then go back and get another wristband for a different location.
 
We think they figured that because people go crazy for Black Friday Deals, they would come AFTER the shopping is over and the overnight stay MAGICALLY disappears...only it doesn't and it's probably going to get worse after seeing the WDW scenes.

So say you? Everyone who has a job in NOT off on thanksgiving!!!! There are real people who work both days so people like you enjoy your days off. In this example, what about the Cast Members that have to deal with you and the other 374 that will rush them for a pin?

+side, for me, I may just try my hand in the rush.

Let the madness begin. It's like going to a movie premier because ill know the good and bad scenes before the public release. But, the regulars that know the cast members by name and cell # are going to have the best scenes behind the counter waiting for them. And you can't tell me this doesn't happen.

So am I guessing that DTD line will be the longest? And the Premium Pass-holders will be in the park getting multiple scenes if possible?
 
Yay I'm so fckn excited. I rather starve and be on the red bull diet than eat tons of carbs. I'm on the pin diet (no sleep, high levels of anxiety, feeling sexy waiting in line with gorgeous people, and red bull) . I will be there the day before bc I'm a bad kid and I was born this way

Well, Snazzie is refuring to the fact that right now, WDW is releasing the day before DLR. Which means all of us DLR folks will have been able to see the frames posted on here and on ebay before we even get in line the night before.

I assume night before, but what if we all flipped the chilly night of sitting in DTD "the bird" and stayed home with family instead? Just showed up at 6am like sane humans? hmmmmmmm.

There is an artist signing at WDW, but it is my understanding that the artist signing occurs in the afternoon (think 1 pm to 3 pm or 3 pm to 5 pm). So, WDW, could also release theirs on Black Friday too.
 

How sweet of you! Might want to make it available to someone who does come and doesn't get one? Can you imagine trekking out so much/far and not even getting one?!

I still have nightmares about that release, by the way - which apparently nobody in Disney seems to recall as it was one of the two catalyst releases (and the last straw, with the other being the POH Alice/PTN Jack joint release) that made Disney decide to start releasing wristbands online via RSP in the first place.

But Disney's bad (or good) decisions in how they release this pin are besides the point. We already know this is going to be a highly anticipated release and all we're doing is making things worse. We need to take a step back, calm down, and try not to stress so much over the situation. You can't control what Disney is going to do, you can't control what the next person is going to do, but you can control your own actions - and there is enough stress and anxiety over this release already that we don't need to add to it. This release will be exactly as good or bad as you make it, so make a good choice.
 
I'm considering it... Only problem is the reduced number of flights on thanksgiving day... Some airlines aren't running direct flights to mco from lax when a normal operating They would have one.
Would have to have stop somewhere and that makes it so you have to leave WDW fairly early
 
The perks for working for the airline. If I get bored enough Ill make the flight out there, usually flights are pretty empty being most people are usuaully at the place they need to be by Thanksgiving Day.
 
My company is sending me to Florida the week after. Oh if they could have stuck with the stupid plan!? Grrrr. I could have done DLR on 22nd, flew on the 23rd in AM to Orlando for the signing and got more. Worst scenario they coulda done. Sorry grandma and grandpa, I'll be in on Saturday now not Friday.
