jeez you think they could have used a better slogan for Grumpy :/

People who think the Tears set feels out of place should remember that this is an event recognising great characters and moments in films. There is a framed set for comedy, it makes sense there is also a set for tragedy. I think it's a very touching set! Right in the feels!

OMG that Tiana!! Anyone interested in trying to set up a co-op for the magical transformations set?

I have a big suspicion that Timon is one of the non-shown pins in the Small but Mighty set. How could he not be? I will definitely need that pin!

Really? Of all the quotes from Snow White, they chose "Women is poison?" :/ Though I do really like the Lilo and Stitch pin from that same set.

And MAN, the Dead Mufasa set is depressing. (I don't care what they call it, I will forevermore refer to it as the Dead Mufasa set.)

That jumbo Mickey/Minnie is cute, a good pin for Mickey/Minnie collectors.

I like the Have a Laugh set overall, but yipes on the price! And why did they put the grass skirt on Timon but not the lei or flower behind his ear?

I was very underwhelmed at first, but the more I look at them, I see more that I like. I LOVE the jumbo Mickey/Minnie and the Quotes set. I would like to have the Carl pin from the Tear set, but I don't think I could handle seeing some of the others every time I look at my pins. The only one I really want from the mystery set is Mushu, but I know I will have to buy at least a few boxes just in case the chasers are really cool. I am actually contemplating signing up for the Vinylmation event just to get the Si and AM set. I have to fly back home on Sunday, so I cannot attend the event, though.

For these events, is there usually a request thread set up on here for people to request purchases from attendees?

I'd be interested in some, fuzzybunny. Specifically the Pascal and inevitable Timon Small but Mighty pin and the Ohana Means Family pin. I still can't decide if I want the Dead Mufasa pin because it's well designed, or don't want it because it's so morbid.

I won't be able to make it, but if someone is going and could pick me up one or two pins, I'd be grateful.

Let me know and we can make $$ arrangements.

I've never been to an event like this...how does the RSP work? Is it first come, first serve depending on when you send it in? Do you know what you'll be getting ahead of time or do you find out when you show up to pick up your merch? Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer my questions!

I think the RSP works like this, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Say a pin from the event is LE 200. If 175 people put that pin as their #1 pick in their RSP, they all get one. Now there are 25 pins left so Disney goes to the people who chose this pin as their #2 pick. If fewer than 25 people selected it, then they'll all get it and we go on to those who chose it as #3. We keep going until we get to a level where there are more pickers than pins. At that point, Disney uses the randomizer to distribute the remaining pins to the people who still want it at that RSP level.

OTOH, if an event pin is LE 200 and 300 people put that pin as their #1 pick, Disney will use the randomizer to distribute those 200 pins among the 300 people who requested it. It's not first come first serve. Unfortunately, 100 people will have a random chance not to get the pin they selected as #1.

That makes sense, thanks GreyWyvern.

Oh, and they will announce the results of the RSP, telling you what you "got", at the beginning of August. Then you'll have three weeks or so to choose to remove items or cancel your order if that's what you want. After that period, they'll charge your credit card or bank account for the items you were assigned, and have them ready for you at the event.
