oh man....i have a problem...collecting seriously for just about 2years and have 2350 pins....when i typed that number, a wave of heat went from my head to my toes, and i got a bit nausious. If i do a consevative average a $5 a pin---barf, hurl,


im sorry i just fainted alittle, i am back. aparently i am not picky! 300 are traders. I will say i truly love each and everyone, and i can almost recall where i got each one...purchase, auction, garage sale find, trade, bought in WDW, at an event, gift....well at least i have a hobby and a happy thought--who's know what trouble i'd be getting into.

It sounds like alot OH and btw try this--tell a non-collector friend of yours how many pins you have===:crazy::crazy:
 
My pinpics says I have 359 pins but a lot of them I have 2 of because they belong to my twin daughters! So it's probably about another 150 more! That is not counting traders I have 74 of those.
 
Heh. My girlfriend was just looking over my shoulder at pinpics the other day and giving me a hard time about having over 200 pins. (Whereas my wants list is close to 1000...)
 
Pinpics for me says 681, but with the sets that I list on there as 1 pin and not individually, it would be closer to 750-800.
 

Oh nooooooo!!! Don't bring up the $$$ aspect, lol! That is VERY scary thoughts!!! My family looks at me like I am crazy, let alone non-trader friends! Ha ha! They just do NOT understand! But I agree, it is a great hobby and who knows where the time and money would have went otherwise!
 
I'm in for a Colorado Meetup... My sister and I collect and we are on the south end of Denver. I know there are a few others... Maybe we need to start a thread...

 
I've learned the non-collector reaction well. We had all the boards on the wall near the bedroom in the old apartment. Whenever anyone needed to use the bathroom, it was almost directly across from the pin wall. The shocked and confused faces never got old. I had even caught a few who at first didn't like pins browsing the area from time to time. . . "to, um, see what was new"

Yeah, that happened to me about 1-1/2 years ago. :lol: I looked and I had somewhere near 4700 pins. That did not include traders. And I refuse to do the math.....

So since then I have narrowed my focus to certain characters or scenes (you know, instead of EVERY SINGLE NBC pin in existence. Or now just Aurora without all the other princesses, etc.)... So my owns is now around 3000. I am still slowly weeding through them and have a big pile of keeper pins that I want to frame. That's another story........
 
I scrambled to my desk and dug beneath the park maps, cig decks, and empty bottles. Underneath I found my pin books, and I ripped open every last one of them.

Where are they? Where the hell are all my pins? Last time I checked, I was sitting pretty with high quality metal. One to two thousand easy. Maybe this is what all the "shark" yapping was about last night. Who are these "sharks", and what do they want with my pins? I learned through the constant spitting outside my bedroom window that these sharks are on the verge of psychotic. They will do whatever they can to get their dirty hands on these precious gems. And I thought I was crazy.... But who are they? Who can I trust? I was getting closer to solving this case, but when one door closes, two more open. I was half drunk, and half mad. Just another day in the life of a detective.
 
i am glad for this forum...this thread....as i sit alone getting ready for the circus, i rock back and forth, my knees to my chest...i count the pin books....2.3.3.7.12.22.29!!! twenty-nine...each movie in its own little home, then the park pins, the silly symphonies, mary poppins......pins sprwled on cork mats, padded envelopes, labels, wrapping tape, pens, stickers, card backers OH THE CARD BACKERS.....i think "what can i get rid of???" NONE i want them all---maddness is setting in as i am setting up friends to get the PODM mulan pins, pre-trade for DSF pins and oh crap the MNSSHP pins are freaking good and the friday the 13 releases (maybe i'll just get one):anxious: if i buy less groceries this week........maybe 2.

I feel the warmth of everyone on here patting me on the head saying..."dont worry, we get it. That is a good pin-and it an LE"........thanks everyone!:angel:
