I am thinking I would like to start a collection for my niece! I showed her the two pins I bought for her nearly two years ago, and she LOVED them!!! Yay!!!

Well now I am trying to decided what to collect for her and where I should start to get her collection going. I would do Tangled for her because she ADORES the movies and characters, but unfortunately I think Tangled will be to expensive for me to do! Therefore, I am thinking probably Brave!?!? She is going to be a little red head I think, with our Irish heritage, so I thought that would be neat! She LOVES the movie Brave too, so... lol

I was also considering Pocahontas because we have a lot of Native American heritage as well, but she is not too keen on Pocahontas unfortunately.

What you think friends?

Any other suggestions?

Brave is set in Scotland not Ireland. If she loves Tangled, maybe you could just collect the OE pins for her? None of them are that expensive and all have the same poses as the LE pins.

Actually Rapunzels 2 most expensive pins are OE. But why not a little of both!. Both are fairly new so you can easily compensate for pins you can't afford! If they happen to come to you then AWSOME!! That's how I feel about mine. My main collection is Ariel but I pick up a few other pins along the way I'm sure either way she'll love and appreciate it!!

Nice to know! My misunderstanding, lol! I feel stupid! I still think I might do Brave because I would really like her to have some LE pins, and ones I can have somewhat of a chance at obtaining, ha ha! Thanks for the info!!

pins are sexy start collecting them all.

love, prince eric

Hey there handsome Prince! I want to collect all kinds, but really don't even have the money to start her a collection, lol! But I adore her, since I don't have my own kid she is my world, and also I want someone to enjoy the hobby with here in CO, lmao!!! Therefore I will figure out a way to start a collection for her

The R/C was a Limited Release and she was the chaser. It's practically a LE. Her other expensive pins are all LE. Some being a LE 1,000 but they are all LE. Her most expensive OE, minus the R/C, is $25 at the most.

Thank you so much for your input! You are right!!! Maybe I will just try a little of both for her! Then she will have an amazing collection! Thank you!!!

start her off with a booster set

I would suggest a more common character or theme to start her off... Perhaps more like Tinkerbell or Cats... Stay away from big princesses like Rapunzel...

i say Punzel, she is only hard if you are going for all the pins have about 15 pins now for a lanyard and all are rack and OE cost wise its about 100$ total not including the BT because i moved that to my BT set. if its what she loves she wont care what it is as long as its the one she loves. like me i loved my tangled pins there not hard but i love em and think they're the best pins out there (tangled pins all look the same lol)

Yeah, lol, Rapunzel is one I already figured to avoid, but if I found a good deal, she might get one or two. I have thought about Tink or something, but want to do one of the movies she likes the best. Right now I am considering Brave and maybe Pocahontas. She also adores Mary Poppins, so that could be another option. Then, she has loved The Emperor's New Groove since she was like a year old, so maybe I should consider that one too. I don't have money to start any quite yet, so just bouncing around ideas right now. Thank You!

I figure if I can find cute cheap ones, she can have a small collection of Tangled. Maybe I will just do a few different smaller collections for her?

I would do her favorite characters. She likes Minnie and Rapunzel, who else does she like?

Yeah, I am going to do a little Tangled, a little Brave, some Pocahontas, Mary Poppins and The Emperor's New Groove I think! Those seem to be her favorites right now! Tho I will say again, I so wish Rio was Disney because she LOVES that right now! Lol! She is in a bird loving phase!

I collect pins for my 3 kids and my niece and although they have their favorite characters and themes sometimes they just like random stuff too. One of my boys loves the Orange Bird even though he has no idea who he is, lol. I love to look at Pin Pics with my kids and let them add stuff to our wants. Maybe you could let your niece make her own little wants list.
