Disney Store Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion - 2017
So latest rumors are of a 17" Snow White for D23.

That will make it the 3rd 17" Snow White doll, wow.
- original release
- Shanghai release
- D23 2017

What else can they do with her clothes to make them all flashy?

There's also rumors for a Blue Fairy and Mulan 17", meaning that Mulan and Shang will probably be the Platinum edition (EDIT: Never mind, apparently, Mulan and Shang are the Designer dolls for D23).

I really, really hope the rumors are true for Rapunzel, though. I was able to get her in the Wedding attire, but I missed out on the original 17" Rapunzel and just don't have the money to pay for her on eBay (she's up to $1 thousand now :eek:). There's also a rumor for a new Designer set, but I'm not too sure how that will pan out, considering what's been happening with the recent Designers.

Could the Snow White D23 Exclusive be her in rags? They made Aladdin in street rat clothes very well.

I'm really curious to see how 17" Hag will look in the box, and I'm happy that's the exclusive and not Evil Queen, that one is a Must Have!

Looking at them again, they do look off (Mulan in particular) but they still look Asian. Regardless I don't think the head sculpt will be too much of a problem, especially seeing Disney has pretty much nailed the head sculpts for almost every one of their classic 17" dolls. Plus the head sculpt on the new designer set looks quite nice imo so I think that's a good indication of what's to come.
 
Can't wait to see what the dolls will look like. I was wondering the same thing with Snow, might they release her in her rags outfit? I don't know if I would pay for that, I passed on Aladdin for the very same reason. Anxiously waiting :)
 
So has any of this been conformed or is this all just rumors? Are we really getting a 17" LE Mulan? because I have been waiting so long for that. I hope if we do shes is a regular release and not a D23 exclusive. This should be an interesting doll season

There is a lot they can do with Snow White. I am hoping for a Renaissance looking dress. I personally am not a fan of the Shanghai Snow White doll. They started going for that Renaissance look but they really dropped the ball on that skirt. Also, they could always do her rags outfit from the beginning of the movie. I am hoping for an Evil Queen LE doll. Just hopefully they don't screw her up like with Maleficent.

One of the current rumors is that Rapunzel is going to get a new LE doll based off her look from Tangled Before Ever After. Several cast members have confirmed it, so it doesn't seem like something that will be exclusive to D23, but only time will tell. That's all we have on it currently.

Everything can be considered rumors until Disney officially announces the dolls themselves. However, the rumors about stuff like the 17" Mulan come from the usual reliable sources, so her chances of being real are very high. I've wanted a 17" Mulan doll for a really long time too, and I REALLY hope it's in her "savior of China" dress and isn't an expo exclusive!
 
Even though I am not a huge Frozen fan, I think the new short looks really cute, and I am in LOVE with Anna and Elsa's new outfits! Elsa's in particular is SO gorgeous! I normally would be a little upset at the idea of us getting even more Frozen dolls, but those dresses are so nice looking that I can't wait to see what they look like! Plus I am a sucker for Christmas/Holiday themed outfits.

Tell me about it, ha ha. I've actually been debating selling my Frozen LE dolls (especially Snow Queen Elsa) because I just don't have a lot of room for them ... Then I saw these outfits and was like, OMG I WANT DOLLS. Ha ha.
 
I AM SO EXCITED! I missed out on the first Punzie LE doll (even though I have Wedding Punzie) and I ADORE Tangled Before Ever After. I can't wait to see what she'll look like!

I don’t collect Frozen merchandise, but I love all of Anna and Elsa’s dresses. If Disney releases a 12” Elsa in her new dress, I would probably buy it.

I was delighted to learn that we’re finally getting a “Ping” doll. I’ve been waiting for a proper “Ping” doll since 1998.
Based on the stock photo, I have nothing bad to say about the doll. The Disney Store artists did an outstanding job.

I do wish that Disney would make mighty-sized LE Lion King action figures with rooted manes and flocked bodies. That would be wonderfully awesome.
