Disney Store Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion - 2017
Same here about LE Lion King figures! I think that would be AMAZING! Especially with a rooted hair mane!

I don’t collect Frozen merchandise, but I love all of Anna and Elsa’s dresses. If Disney releases a 12” Elsa in her new dress, I would probably buy it.

I was delighted to learn that we’re finally getting a “Ping” doll. I’ve been waiting for a proper “Ping” doll since 1998.
Based on the stock photo, I have nothing bad to say about the doll. The Disney Store artists did an outstanding job.

I do wish that Disney would make mighty-sized LE Lion King action figures with rooted manes and flocked bodies. That would be wonderfully awesome.

Oh, yeah, I can totally see these outfits becoming LE dolls.

Also, not sure if anyone noticed this:

Want to meet some of the magic makers behind these books? Check out these signings:
*Note, it says books, but there are artists listed concerning the dolls*

Friday, July 14

Jessica Fuchs and Steve Thompson, Disney Folktale Series Artists (5 p.m., TBD)

Saturday, July 15

Jessica Fuchs and Steve Thompson, Art of Snow White Artists (5:30 p.m., TBD)

Art of Snow White should bring some interesting merchandise and/or dolls! 11-12" or 17"?

I'm putting this also in the 11/12" Designer collection, but as I recall, Art of Ariel and Art of Aurora brought us 17" dolls!

The 17' inch will be Snow White released on Saturday. How do I know? See 2015 art of Jasmine. Logically, I am guessing Snow White in her rags? Did Disney make a 17 inch doll with Snow white in her rags yet?

Disney being Disney I guess lol. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Disney not announce anything on the 17" dolls until some kind of preview event that happened before the expo actually started?

I think so. And the video is where we got the glimpse of the Red Jasmine?

Information re: D23 provided to ticket holders with their tickets (tickets were mailed out and some were delivered this week):

Info about the Snow White Dolls making its rounds around Facebook (I fixed a few typos/grammatical errors):

Releasing August 1st (at least Snow White, Evil Queen, and Prince). No idea whether Platinum Set will release the same time as well.

SNOW WHITE

Inspired by her wishing well look, Snow White is in a blue skirt with a white apron and peter pan collar top. Around her waist is a brown embroidered corset. She has a red shawl and a bird perched on her hand. In the background, you can see the wishing well scene.

Edition size: 6500

THE EVIL QUEEN

The Evil Queen is in her classic purple gown, which features a deep cut V neck, as well as embroidery and rhinestones throughout. She has a large white accordion collar, black choker (necklace) and gold crown. She is holding the box featured in the movie meant for Snow White's heart.

Edition size: 4000

THE PRINCE

The Prince is in his classic look from the wishing well scene in a blue vest, white long sleeve top and cape. His details include a sword and leather boots.

Edition size: 3000

THE PLATINUM SET - WOW

The platinum set is a completely original outfit creation with Snow White wearing a deep ruby dress with sleeves similar to her classic look and longer sleeves extended beyond the shoulder. The skirt has a cream panel in the middle with lots of embroidery. The bodice is laced up in the front with gold embroidery on the sides. Her hair is styled up with flowers. She has a lace collar. The Prince is by her side in a complementary look that has gold detailing as well as a cape.

Thursday isn't open to the general attendees, but will they be able to take photos? I can't remember from previous years.

And let's just talk about the fact that if Disney is now making up entirely new outfits for dolls, beyond what characters have worn "on screen," that opens up a very large realm for future releases. Ha ha ha. We're all doomed.

I believe it was a 17" Hag/Witch? There were rumours of a Mulan as well, but I think they were relating to an announcement, not an exclusive.
