Disney Store Limited Edition Dolls - 12" and Designer - 2017
With the exception of Mulan and The Incredibles, the new sets are just mediocre in my opinion. I was interested in the Blue Fairy and Ariel but both dolls are disappointments. The Blue Fairy looks like she has Cinderella’s face mold from last year’s designer set, and her wings are just simple cut-outs made from cheap material. I’ve seen better wings on ten dollar fairy Barbies. As for Ariel, her outfit isn’t pretty at all. I wish they had used her regular purple seashells. It’s also weird that Ariel and Triton’s fins are made from different materials. The Triton doll looks decent, but his facial resemblance to the character is not quite right. Disney shouldn’t be cutting corners on such expensive dolls.

I don't know if anyone can help me. There are marks on designer doll name plates. Does anyone know how I can get them off?

Imo ariel doesnt look like her. I think they wanted to do something different with the other ariel released. She looks beautiful but not so accurate to the film. I love her bra and her tail though. It was quite unique and really different from her other tails. At least they tried to make her really special on her own. If shes an exact replica of the last designer one i wouldnt like her. Her face looks beautiful nonetheless. Triton, on the other hand, he looks like a thinner version of the one in the film. He doesnt look like him at all. I understand the angry expression but he looks weird to me. I will still buy this set though and maybe rapunzel too. I still like this set better compared to the one where she was with Ursula. She look like she had plastic surgery there. Ursula even looks better than her. Im excited to own this two set. About robin hood well i didnt even watched the film so im not purchasing her.and i dont collect villains so no cruella. I think this designer set is way better than last years!

I was so hoping for a Tarzan/Jane set, and Meg/Hercules but can you imagine the bloodbath if we'd got them? The prices would probably be insane on the aftermarket.

I wanted to like Blue Fairy but I too thought she look too much like Cinderella from the H&V release. Face mold from her and dress fabrics from LA Cindy!!!

I was most excited for Robin and Marian, but I think their heads are slightly too big and it's throwing me off. Fur would have been nice.

poisoivyprince That would have interested me more, and I think fit the concept better. I thought these doll sets were supposed to be mainly two human(oid) main characters, with maybe some animal friend accessories. Not that I don't love foxes... maybe if they had furred or at least flocked RH & MM... solid fur/hair is always kind of a downer for me. I would also have been more intrigued with multi-media, textured kakamora, and furred or flocked dalmations, especially as those sets contain only one doll but I've heard that they aren't priced the same as previous one-doll sets (e.g, fairies, like Fawn and her rabbit), but the full two-doll set price, something I'm having difficulty understanding.

Exactly. The Robin Hood set esp, is missing some props at minimum like Ariel and Rapunzel set are very heavy with details. they needed to add some extras to get that set coveted. I love the classics but I just dont understand why Robinhood vs. any other human characters. The sword in the stones Merlin and Arthur would have been an instant buy for me, for example. And Herc, Hunch, and Tarzan have been asked for for years already.

Yeah I'm kind of disappointed. The only one I might go for from the general dolls is the Robin Hood set. Rapunzel isn't bad but it feels so overdone at this point.

The Mulan d23 set is incredible though. I got it aftermarket and I love it. It's the set I've been wanting pretty much since the movie came out. So happy to have it.

Mine arrived! Love them. My only somewhat complaint is Shang's ponytale, it's super low.

I know this isn't the actual reason since none of the sets have it, but...in the movie, Mulan's eyelashes magically disappear every time she disguises herself as Ping, and they come back every time she's herself again and even when she gets revealed as a woman.

Maybe! I wonder on the release of the general release of the dolls Ariel and Rapunzel will end up with eye-lashes.

I just looked at th blue fairy doll on ebay and she has lashes. I am thinking maybe Mulan doesn't since she is as Ping and in disguise as a man? None of the guy dolls have lashes from what I remember

Can anyone tell me when the dolls will be released in the UK? The only dates are the US ones which are a Thursday and Friday, and we usually get them on a Tuesday, I need to get the day off work to get rapunzel but don't want to book the wrong day off, I went to my Disney store that will have them and they didn't like the fact I knew about the dolls at all, they just told me to wait till Disney store announces them on Facebook or the newsletter

Not unless it's on the Disney Store UK website. The release dates were announced for the US only (so far).
