DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
Is it safe to judge how crazy the store will get based on how pre-order for Pink Aurora went?

Ill be camping out for sure, lots of bottled coffee, cards and the ipad to watch a movie or two. might be overkill but were going there at 3 :). people had lined up at 4 when the prinesses came in 2011. going with my bff shes getting mal and blue aurora. lm Going for all of them. thankfully cinderellas already covered.

Apologies - will adjust! one moment!

So essentially Europeans could potentially trying to go online/store for 5 dolls. Yikes! Do I have enough arms?

I don't know how many people will be going to my store that morning.
I found out that my close friend's birthday is a day after the release, so I'm gonna try to buy her Blue Aurora from the store.

Has anybody ever went to a in store purchase in Missouri before? This will be my first time going to the store instead of the website and I was wondering if it is very busy? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Some stores are crazy busy with people even camping outside of the mall waiting to get in the next morning. It really depends on your store in your area. I am planning on going two hours early for this store release.

Oh dear. Well I live in Kentucky, so I hope it isn't too bad. I am going to go an hour early. I called my store and they said they would be getting them, so hopefully I can get the doll I want in store.

It's shame I'm only getting pink aurora, I would like to get the blue one so I can pair them next to each other, but that won't happen for a very long time.

i got notice that my pre-order Aurora has shipped! I'm actually glad I'm getting the one in pink...I think it goes better with her hair color and gold details. I think she is going to look great in person!

Yes. You could only get her on the day she went up for pre-order. They may sell one that isn't picked up by anyone, but its very highly unlikely.

Really? I thought they only sold a set amount as pre-order. So it's different than what they do with the Designer dolls?

That's disappointing- I was going to go day of and get mine since I missed the pre-order date.

I just remembered, I hope pink aurora has a light pink petticoat with pink lace trim like in the movie. It would be nice if the doll had that!

Rant:
So I've been reading what people who pre-ordered pink aurora and want the blue one are going to do.
They are planning on buying the blue one and selling the pink aurora for a higher price to compensate for at least 2 dolls.
I absolutely hate that. -_-"
Why do collectors have to resort to scalping? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for selling the dolls for a profit, but at least give the true collectors a chance to own the product. See if people want the doll for $140. If not, then go sell it for $500!

I'm still trying to decide wether or not I want to go to a store early on tuesday...
The closest store is an hour away. I have to be back to teach a class an hour after the store opens. I keep thinking that I have enough time but at the same time I don't think I do. I know I can make it in 45 minutes instead of an hour..
Decisions, Decisions...
I wish DisneyStore would just come out and say "Don't worry, our website will be fine. It'll be able to handle the traffic of selling 15,000 products in less than hour."

That is correct if you missed out on the pre-order then you miss out on the dolls completely. That has always been the case with all preorders. The only exception is with the designer dolls. But then again this is also different because the designer doll set is considered to be a separate item to the individual dolls so once the preorder set sells out it is sold out. From there you will only be able to buy the doll individually, the set is aimed moreso for collectors/completists hence why they all share the same LE number as well.

So in a way the designers are the exception and not the norm to a certain extent because you can still get the individual dolls but the ability to buy the entire set in one go is sold out. General rule of thumb if a LE item is released on pre-order, once it sells out it is sold out completely and you wont be able to find it anywhere else.

I'm officially sick and tired of the US disneystore. It's driving me nuts!
Every single time I order something on there, as time passes by the shipping address is changed without my consent to a random address from my address book!
What is up with their system?!!
I've complained several times, but nothing is really done, except they often screw it up even more.
Now when I looked at my Aurora order, which was supposed to be sent to Japan (which had the correct address up until two days ago), it's changed to Denmark!!! Seriously!!!!!
I'm not sure if I can reach the customer service in time before they ship her (since most others have their dolls shipped already) and I'm not willing to pay the custom charges - especially since it's not my fault in the first place. Damn I'm so angry right now.

this pink aurora pictures, looks more like the blue version, don't you think? Which one is the real pink one

I'm sorry to hear this is happening to you :(. I am starting to think Disney needs to hire new people or something considering I have heard nothing but horror stories lately about how god awful their website is these days. Contact them as many times as possible and make it clear to them that its being shipped to the wrong address. I seen a similar story on another thread where someone's 17 inch Ariel was shipped to a different state than where they lived but they contacted the Disney Store and they fixed the problem.

Thanx. Called customer service as soon as their phone hours began and it got changed back to Japan. Good thing my Aurora still didn't ship like others. Just got annoyed since it happens every damn time that I pre-order something. Back with Anna and Elsa it took 3 calls and 4 e-mails before the adresses went back to how I originally ordered it.
