DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
I called my DS. They have 10 blue auroras, 7 maleficents, and 5 Phillips. I'm gonna head down there to try and get a peek at em!

this pink aurora pictures, looks more like the blue version, don't you think? Which one is the real pink one

The dolls themselves are exactly the same. The only thing that's different is their dresses.

Is anyone elses Aurora still Active? Doesn't look like mine has left the warehouse at all. :(
I got a blast off email this morning saying its been shipped but it doesn't give me a tracking number. That's the second order recently where they haven't given me a shipping number

Darn! Disney was too quick for me, but at least they sent me an email saying they couldn't charge my card this time. Hopefully it comes soon!
I truly hope this sale goes smoother for everyone than pink Aurora and that everyone gets the doll(s ) they are after!

BTW, if anyone wants to sell pink Aurora to me instead of cancelling the order, I'd rather get it straight from you than buy whichever orders show up on ds.com due to cancellations. Especially since it's not likely that you'd be able to cancel now that they're shipping.

Probably should have said something last week whenever the Blue showed up, but didn't think about it. :) Anyway, if you get your blue and don't want to keep your pink, just let me knowwwwwwwww! I just want one, don't care about the color!

I haven't received an email or anything yet. I hope nothing is wrong with my order

I think Disney is planning on dropping off a massive load of shipments to UPS/USPS cause even my Sleeping Beauty Blu-Ray hasn't been picked up yet. we'll see!

Rant:
So I've been reading what people who pre-ordered pink aurora and want the blue one are going to do.
They are planning on buying the blue one and selling the pink aurora for a higher price to compensate for at least 2 dolls.
I absolutely hate that. -_-"
Why do collectors have to resort to scalping? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for selling the dolls for a profit, but at least give the true collectors a chance to own the product. See if people want the doll for $140. If not, then go sell it for $500!

I'm still trying to decide wether or not I want to go to a store early on tuesday...
The closest store is an hour away. I have to be back to teach a class an hour after the store opens. I keep thinking that I have enough time but at the same time I don't think I do. I know I can make it in 45 minutes instead of an hour..
Decisions, Decisions...
I wish DisneyStore would just come out and say "Don't worry, our website will be fine. It'll be able to handle the traffic of selling 15,000 products in less than hour."

I missed out on the pink Aurora, and I want to get her but I'd prefer buying from a collector who won't ask for like $400. I really hope that there are people out there who will sell their Aurora at a reasonable price! And $140? I can't imagine....would people actually sell her at that? That would be AMAZING! :D

I feel bad buying from scalpers. I'd much rather buy from a fellow collector who isn't just looking to make a quick buck.

This was the video in question. In this video the Pink dress has the crystals on the sleeves, like the blue dress does. However in other photos and in display boxes the pink dress does not have the crystals on the sleeves.

Mine was shipped on Oct 1st but I'm still missing a tracking number. This is not good, is it? :anxious: Any suggestions?

I don't know if I'd worry, I would just email them asking for a tracking number. I've had to do that before, and they have come back with an apolpgy for not giving it in the first place :-)

Okay, so I have a dumb question. I've NEVER bought a limited edition doll in store before and I want to have everything go smoothly:

Will Aurora be displayed somewhere and I have to grab her box and go to the register to get her, or do I have to ask a cast member for her and they go in the back to get her?

In North America, the dolls are all behind the register. We camp out outside the store and get to purchase them in priority sequence (they give out tickets around 9:30 and then we're free to roam the mall until they open at 10).

I have a feeling there'll be enough dolls that I won't NEED to camp out for this release, but really camping out is part of the fun.

Any secrets to obtaining a doll online? this is the first time im purchasing an le doll. thanks :)

The tumblr blog all-those-disneydolls.tumblr.com has a whole post about tips for getting them online. I'll post them here, all credit going to that blog:

  1. Create a Disney store account and add your credit card number and address to that account. This will help ensure a speedy checkout. Make sure you know your account’s password and the security code on the back of your credit card
  2. Set an alarm or do what ever you have to in order to be up at the correct time. The dolls go live at 12am PDT which is 3am EDT, the site will have a lot of traffic at this time so the sooner you add the doll to your cart the better off you’ll be
  3. Make sure to follow the Disney store facebook page as well as unofficial Disney limited edition doll pages as well. These places are the best outlets for information and when its time to order the doll they may offer a link making the doll easier to find on the Disney store website
  4. Being prepared is the best way to make sure you get your doll. Make sure you have a reliable internet connection as well as a charged device to order from. Have the Disney store webpage open and logged in.
  5. Make sure you have the money for the doll in your account before ordering. Even though Aurora is a pre-order most credit cards and even paypal will put a hold on your card for the amount owed to ensure you have the money in your account. This hold will drop off and then be reapplied in October when the doll ships, but if you do not have the money in your account you run the risk of having your order canceled.

Not quite. Every store does it differently. Granted, at my local store, all the dolls are located behind the counter and their policy is first come, first serve. But there's never a line up or anything of the sort outside my store for the limited edition dolls, as mall security does not like it (especially since these days the mall has been undergoing construction). They barely allow it for the Fairytale Designer dolls, but I think that's because the store insists. In all other cases, as soon as the store opens, they wait for people to inquire about the dolls. But, again, this is just my store. I can't speak for other locations.

log onto ds.com and check if it's there. I've never had a tracking number work in the email that DS.com sends to me.

Can someone who isn't going to buy Blue Aurora either in store or online PM me please?
I need help.

thanks in advance.
