DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
I'm gonna try to be there around 9:00, so I am hoping that is early enough to secure the doll I want. If not then there is always online, but I would rather not deal with the unpredictability of the website.

if anyone wants a pink aurora dress doll and wants to trade for a 17inch ariel doll please PM me.
Ariel is the last doll I need to finish my 17 inch dolls. PLEASEE

I'm so excited for Tuesday but also very nervous! I am thinking after changing my mind so much with regards to if I want pink or blue I have decided to try for blue Aurora and Maleficent. Just can't decide if to try for Phillip or leave him and get the fairytale couple Briar Rose set instead. Would be cool to get the Briar set as then I will have designer Aurora(pink), 17inch Aurora(blue) and briar rose- so all her outfits. But then the 17inch Phillip is really nice too Hmm:/

I heard on Facebook that someone got their aurora doll already. I wish I had mine right now, I'm going insane just waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and..... Oh you get the point:lol: 4 MORE DAYS!!!!!

None. :(
The cast members were strictly prohibited from taking them out of the back-room.

Aw well that's disappointing :/. I wonder why they are being so strick about letting people see them before release? I am hoping some store lets people see them before release so we can see how they will look in their boxes ahead of time.

Well, guest services is currently unable to tell where my Aurora is hiding. They can't even say if she left the warehouse at all. :ugh: Does anyone have an idea what to do now (apart from continue to pester them of course :D). Wait and see what will happen?

So unfair that some people have already received their aurora and my account is still just active.. :(

I'm kind of in the same situation. No tracking number on the blast off email, they said it was because UPS didn't give them one and they will try to find the number within two business days but by then she should be here already. It's pretty horrible

So I was on the phone with my local Disney Store and they told me the color of the boxes. They said that they would have told me what the background of each box would have been, but since they and been busy with customers in store they couldn't sneak back to the back room to tell me over the phone. So close to finding out!

When was yours sent off? God, as if ordering those dolls isn't stressful enough! :P I'll probably wait until Monday to see if she arrives before I call guest services. Again.

Mine was sent on October 2nd. I called and emailed guest services and as I said they said UPS should contact me but....we will see.

I'm in the same boat.
I ordered 2, one for my cousin and one for my sister.
One of them is in Transit and the other is processing.

I'm getting so frustrated with the Disney Store right now.
This happened with Frozen and now with these??!!!

So what, now I have to pay an extra $30 for 2-Day shipping to ensure that things like these will not happen? I have to pay Disney more money to ensure that I will get my package? They sicken me at this point.

I called their customer support, who by the way is one of the nicest ladies I've talked to, and she said that they don't have a safety stock for Aurora. So once she is lost, all they can do is a refund.
Also, callers, keep in mind that these representatives don't package your dolls and the information available to them is limited. So please be kind and courteous when you call them. They've been having really stressful days cause of these dolls and Frozen. So if you wanna shout at someone, make sure that it's the warehouse people. They are the ones to "lose" these dolls.

Do you think the chances of the doll actually arriving safely to are slim to none at this point then? when I saw I had no tracking number my heart sank anyway thanks to all the previous experiences with shipping and the site going down etc

My order has been shipped as well, but the tracking number is lost. I contacted Disney and they said to give it 24-48 hours. I'm really worried and as I am located in Europe and going for the blue Aurora on the 7th I thought.. Maybe I should order the pink again just in case US Disney lost mine..

How can they always mess up something??

Ugh, you guys are so lucky you can ask all these questions to the DS cast members over the phone! When I call and ask them about the dolls, they always sound like they want the call to end as quickly as possible. I'm always nice and polite, but it's hard to get deets when they don't want to talk :(

Oh thats a shame. I've generally got good responses. Maybe try not weekends and instead when the shop has just opened or just about to close. So the store is chilled and less busy.

They're probably getting frustrated just as frustrated as we are. It's not like the customer service folks are in charge of packing the dolls and making sure they ship out on time.

My dad's pretty much in a similar boat. A friend of his is a huge Aurora fan, so he bought it for her intending to give it to her on Christmas (while I assured him that the entire reason I worked all summer was to purchase my own - which I preordered at our local store). Not sure where these dolls are coming from, but we live in NY and he hasn't even gotten a blast off email yet or any notification that the doll has shipped. I told him to go online to check the order status, but I don't think he did it yet. So, yeah, just gonna have to wait and see what's going on there, I guess.

So I found out from a Cast member that Maleficent has her castle for the background and Blue Aurora has a Pink background.

This is the message i just got from disney in regards to my account and doll:

We are delighted to have received your recent email and we appreciate your interest in DisneyStore.com. Please accept our apologies as this information is inaccurate. Your Designer Dolls will be shipping in late October. If you were charged for dolls a credit has been issued to your account. You will be charged when the dolls ship in late October. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have further questions. We look forward to future opportunities to be of service to you.

I'm now more worried than ever as it seems they aren't even sure whats going on.
