DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
Poor Phillip! I don't think the designers did him any favors with his stern look and his hair. I know he's fighting the dragon with that shield but he's going to get a princess bestowed with fairy gift beauty. Smile?!

I bought LE Ariel what was it now, the year before last? And I didn't like her at all when she arrived. The outfit seemed all wrong and I didn't like how stiff her hair was. So I sold her on pretty quickly. With the latest Frozen dolls, I paid a silly amount for them and even though I will admit Elsa does not blow my mind, I really want to have all 6. So I still need to acquire Coronation Elsa and Snow Gear Anna.

I think Ariel is awful, which is sad as she's one of my favourite characters but the stiff hair and petal like fins just ruined it for me:/

Haha I'm glad I'm not the only one bugged by her gigantic fins - I wish they had made her in the outfit they put her in the designer fairytale collection, she is absolutely gorgeous and to die for in that but I guess it makes sense to make her in the most iconic outfit for the 17-inch. Oh one can wish they'll remake her in the pink dress one day... :p

I like the le Ariel doll, I'm going to try to save up for her in the summer. In my opinion, even though I've never seen her in real life, I like how her scales and fins look, and I don't mind the hair hair spray on her either. I'd rather have a doll that has a lot of hairspray so I don't have to worry about constantly brushing her hair to look good, or static. When I get here I will take her out of the box so the hairspray is basically a must for me.

YES!! I definitely agree on how great she looks overall! In person, the scales and fins are just amazing!! They have so much detail on them and I love how each individual scale reminded me of coral and the sea!!! And I absolutely love her hair because it reminds me of the ocean waves!!! Just everything about the doll overwhelmed me because each individual detail payed homage to the sea in someway, which I find to be perfect, tbh I don't think Disney could've made the doll any better she is just breath taking :)

I know! The little mermaid is one of my favorites, so of course I like the le doll based on pictures I've seen, and I know that these dolls always look better in person than online photos, I felt that way when I first saw the live action le Cinderella doll. And I don't really see why people don't like the hairspray in these dolls. I'd rather have stiff perfect hair than out of control fly-away static hair.

I honestly was disappointed in Ariel when I saw what she looked like. I've always been a fan of hers, and the sculpture of the doll, the shade and design of the hair, and the shell top were perfect. But that darn tail... Maybe I would've liked it better had they gone with smaller scales for the tale. I don't know, maybe it looks better in person (Disney's not known for having the best photographers for these LE dolls, that's for sure). In the long run, it doesn't matter because until I can see her in person, I can't justify spending $500 for her on eBay, not when I'm saving up for the rumored Aladdin and Jasmine.

I really like the Ariel LE 17" doll. I think it is one of the prettiest Ariel dolls released to date. Some details could have been made differently, but I think overall she is well done. I am also glad they made her a mermaid after she is The Little Mermaid, but I am hoping for more Ariel 17" dolls with her in different outfits. If we have had so many Frozen dolls a girl could dream. I definitely will not stop wishing and hoping for an 17" Vanessa, that would be amazing!

I had Ariel a long time ago, and she was one of the first dolls I let go of when I had to sell my collection. I loved everything about her design EXCEPT her tail as well and her bra. Honestly, the designer Ariel in her blue dress looks much more like Ariel than the mermaid in my opinion.
I'm looking forward to seeing Jasmine. I secretley keep hoping for legit Frozen Fever as well - but if they didn't make a fourth seth of Frozen dolls - I'd completely understand. I'd like to see more princesses get love.

I used to be so certain they'd release Frozen Fever dolls, but at this point I'm not so sure. It's too bad, really, that they left off with those greased up dolls. They kind of cheapened the whole LE line. It's been a couple months and I still don't like them and still don't understand why they happened. At least we got a Kristoff out of them I guess.

when do u guys think they would start the pre-orders for any aladdin dolls? i called my local disney store and the lady had no clue if and when they would pre-order. i was suprised she said august they would start pre-orders for the movie.

I didn't like how the 2015 Anna looked in the pictures. I know that she may have looked better in person, but the shine on her face looks like she's dripping wet! I understand with the le Cinderella, the shine isn't bad it's more pearlescent and isn't as harsh. I feel that with the 2015 Anna and Elsa, they overdid them with the fly-away tinsel and sweaty shine.

If they follow the pattern set by Ariel and Aurora, then Jasmine should be the available pre-order in July.

I liked the limited ariel good enough and was happy they gave her cute accessories the bracelet and the starfish. and in aurora the rose belt i loved alot! on belle and cinderella they were really in need of add ons. im sure with jasmine theyll go all out. but back to ariel i had one issue and thats that the doll as a whole and with her boxes back ground was very dark and muted looking.

Gosh I am so impatient! I can't wait to see what Jasmine looks like! I just hope that Aladdin looks good too seeing he is the one I am looking forward to the most.

So, they've officially confirmed the Disney Animated Shorts Collection will be released on August 18 ... what do you think our chances are of getting LE Frozen Fever Anna and Elsa? :)

Oh no, does this mean we'll be waiting that long for the Cinderella bluray, too???

It would follow the same timeline of Maleficent, so I've been worried they'd push the release to the 5-6 month point instead of Disney's usual 3 months. It's not playing in theaters in my city anymore :( :( :(

Since they have made wedding rapunzel, I think there's pretty big chance they'll make LE FF Dolls.
