DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
Yeah its pretty obvious that those aren't official conceptual images. They were more than likely fan made to give you an idea of what Jasmine may look like when her pictures are released. Jasmine isn't even close to being one of my favorite princesses, but she could easily be one of the best looking dolls IF Disney actually put effort into her. They are getting pretty lazy with how they treat LE dolls lately so I am a little worried at how she will turn out.

Does anyone think we will be getting pictures revealed this Thursday or Friday? We are getting close to the pre-order date so I figured some pictures would be released soon.

This Thursday is definitely a possibility; all the other LE dolls this year have been announced on that day of the week and it's about time for them to tell us something! I can't wait to see pictures of the real LE Jasmine and maybe find out more about the Designer sets as well.

I sure hope so! I don't plan on getting her, but I just wanna see what she looks like!

Don't care to much about Aladin dolls as don't like the film or characters but a slave Jasmine would look better than the normal one. So now that a Maleficent sequel is confirmed we may get a live action Mal in the future!

Aladdin is one of my favorite Disney films and I look forward to seeing what the LE dolls will look like. As far as Maleficent goes I did like the film and Love Angelina but not sure a sequel was needed...as far as a live action Maleficent doll I would love to see one if they improve the head sculpt over the film collection doll.

Well, I am getting really excited to know/see what Jasmine will look like. I actually hope they release one of her in her purple dress like the end of the movie. That would make me happier than getting her in her turquoise outfit, but since the turquoise outfit is her "main" look, I am not sure if that will happen. But, here's to hoping. I also think that Disney did a good job with the 17 inch singing doll that came out in 2010 (?) . . . so I have high hopes for this doll!!!!

They are 100% fake the person who made this does not claim They are real he was just playing around that's why he marked them. But he did a beautiful job

I would like Jasmine in her purple dress she wears when Aladdin is going to be introduced to Agrabah before Jafar comes along and messes it all up. That is her most princessy look and I never understood why Disney didn't market her more in that dress. There was no princess in purple until Rapunzel came along.

YES!!!! I completely agree! The dress is so pretty and they could do so much with it!

What do you think the future holds for 17" LE dolls with Jasmine basically being the last in the line of popular princesses previously unreleased? Do you think they'll do a second release, altered from the original, when they release and remaster the films again? We're probably a few years away from Snow White being released again on DVD to give cause for another 17" doll, but do you think it'll happen?

We're running out of princesses and classic movie releases that bring about the dolls. They seem popular enough that Disney will continue to make them. I think we're down to just Pocohontas and Mulan missing from the 17" line, but you can still buy those dvd's and they were released only a few years ago. It's seems unlikely we'll get 17" dolls of them now without a release to cause it, but yet it seems strange they would be completely excluded from the line since they were included in the Designer Princesses and Couples. Would you buy them? I'm not sure if I would. Mulan might look nice, but not sure what they could with the clothing on a classic version of Pocohontas that would appeal to me, and the clothes are big factor for me. I think that's part of the popularity problem with Pocohontas. I know there's a Frozen 2 in the works, but that'll take several years to complete.

There's always talk of Jane, Meg, Esmeralda, etc. dolls, but they've never been done any of the other lines and the movies are still available. They aren't the kind that get the big release from the vault promos. I enjoyed those movies. I'd probably buy the dolls, if they were well made. I think that's a long shot, though. They're just not that popular and have never been included in much of the mainstream marketing. You can always find merchandise for the mainstream princess line up.

I think we can expect 17" live action dolls, like with Cinderella, for any classic characters they make into movies. I'm expecting and hoping for Belle in a couple of years. Other than that, I don't know what to expect. It seems logical for a lot of different things to happen. Part of me would almost be happy for a break from them if they stopped making them. I love them and get so excited to get them, but they are taking over my house, and I collect a lot of other large dolls along with various figures and mass market dolls. I've never sold any and fear I'll be a hoarder if Disney keeps on they way they have been going. I saw one doll collection online that someone had turned their living room into a room full of library shelves of dolls. My first reaction was "cool idea," and then "okay, I've got a problem."

Haha, I know what you mean about not wanting to be a hoarder. When I first got interested in collecting the Le dolls, I was actually planning to get MOST of them! I was even planning to get Snow White! But then I had to think realistically, first I don't have room since I'm still in high school and the only place I can keep these dolls is in my room, and second, I don't have the money $ to buy all of them, then I also thought that I wouldn't be able to buy Snow White anyways since first I'll be spending 1000+! And my parents (Mom lol) think it's ridiculous to spend over 100 on a doll, and sure I'd give them a heart attack if I spent a thousand on just one doll. And another thing I didn't want was to be in a room surrounded with many dolls, wich would be a bit crazy for me lol! So my list got much shorter to just getting Le live action Cinderella, Aurora, then maybe Ariel or heirloom Cinderella, or maybe snow gear Anna. Whatever is cheaper at the time. Oh boy my total number of dolls in my collection will be a grand total of three! I just accepted I'm only getting my favorite characters. And anyways, three dolls will be enough for me. I just wish i could find Le Snow White at a thrift store, yard sale, or real estate sale. Fat chance!!

Don't get me wrong, I'd go absolutely nuts if Disney would release a 17" Live Action Aurora, but why is there a sequel planned for Maleficent? They basically told the entire story. Sleepy Beauty ended there and it never got a sequel. What could the plot of a sequel possibly be?

Is about Maleficent not Aurora. Good thing is that whatever doll they release will have to be with wings

Finally I got snow gear Anna limited doll! I'm so happy! I paid for doll(NRFB)+shipping only 189$. I bought her from russian collector and I live in Russia too. For russian collector this price is close to retail. Before I thought I never get her because I can't pay high ebay prices. I can't believe this is happening !

I have missed out on all of the LE Frozen dolls. Thankfully I found this site hoping to get some tips for future releases. Is a 4th release expected?

Congratulations! She is so beautiful and you definitely found her for a great deal!

Hi Pita! So glad you found this page-it certainly helped me when I first started collecting and I have no doubt the community will be just as welcoming to you. Welcome aboard!

As for new Frozen releases, there is a rumor going around that there will be 17'' Frozen Fever dolls when the short is released on DVD, but this hasn't actually been confirmed by Disney yet and may not come to pass. However, if you're not opposed to eBay or collectors' group the most recent Frozen dolls (2015 Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff) can all still be found very close to retail prices online.

Congratulations! She's really beautiful!

This is all over Tumbler and Facebook. Available ONLY at Disneyland Resort July 17th! What the hell, Disney?????

Yeah that is really unfair. You would think that she would at least be available in a limited run on the Disney Store's website. On a happier note, its interesting that Disney decided to create a 17 inch doll for the 60th anniversary of Disneyland. And she is absolutely gorgeous!

Eh. They did the same for the vinylmations. These things are made specially for the event, Disney doesn't have to be fair about it. If you attend the event, you can get the exclusive. Like the D23 set.

Good point. It actually didn't occur to me that it was for the park event, and I figured it was just a random release made to celebrate the anniversary as a whole. I don't live near either of the parks, and have never been able to go to either, so I rarely keep up with events taking place at either. I also didn't mean to make my statement sound so whiny, but I just figured there would have been a Disney Store run of some kind.
