Nope it's all real.. there's a running gag going on on the LE doll FB group.. Someone photoshopped "Jaffana"

Haha, that's hilarious.

Well, I caved...Bought Aladdin just now online! I decided if he was still available when I got home that I'd buy him...and he was!

I bought Aladdin today. Hopefully I don't regret it! I was actually considering canceling my order where its so much money and I could use it for other things. Everyone's pictures and the movie itself have made me decide to keep my order for now.

Ditto.. I'm dreading it already. I don't know if I'll have a better chance in store or online though. Obviously prefer in store but I've heard people were queuing up for Aladdin the night prior so I can only imagine people queuing up for FF 24 hours prior.

Really? I'm super paranoid and got to my Disney Store at 4:00am, I didn't see another soul until 5:30, which is still early, but not anything like 24 hours early. I'm already waring with myself not to leave the house at 12am the night of the FF release-I REALLY want Elsa from that set, this hypothesis is not helping my nerves! :(

-Side note, someone pointed out to me that it will likely be really COLD in November, and that it might deter some from arriving too early. The thought helped calm me down somewhat, but these are still Frozen dolls and there are many, like myself, who didn't/can't get Snow Queen Elsa

This is what did it for me - the hype of the blu ray release, watching it last night - first time in a long time, and the amazing pictures on this site - I couldn't resist.

The cold could bother them. Lol, but is November 3rd Election Day? I don't really know, I just saw it on the calendar. I'm just hoping that I'll be one of the first ones there, and that I won't be disappointed. With 4000 of the dolls being released in the U.S. I'm sure there should be at least ten doll each per store.

Wow, I didn't even think of that, but your absolutely right! Hopfully that will also deter some? (Fingers Crossed!) My store typically gets at least 10+ dolls, I think we got maybe 12 Aladdin and 4 Jafar, and 14 Gothel/Rapunzel's. I don't need to necessarally be the 1st their, but I'd settle for at least fourth or fifth, just in case. My greatest fear is always that I'll arrive someday and their will already be a huge line! The Frozen Fever Elsa is the doll that I've wanted since I started collecting about a year ago, as substitution for Snow Queen Elsa, so I'd be so disappointed if this upcoming release were the one where that fear came true. :(

I'd rather be first than risk being last. This is basically my only chance to own a queen Elsa that resembles snow queen Elsa, I just hope it isn't a bloodbath there.

I can't help but chuckle that the fact that its gonna be cold outside when the "Frozen" dolls are released. Didn't that movie tell you that the cold shouldn't bother you anyway? XD

But all joking aside, I don't think you guys will have to worry too much. Even though Frozen is a brand in of itself these days, I think everyone will have a pretty good chance of getting them in store.

Hopefully I'll get Elsa, but who knows; greed makes people do bad things, and if scalpers think she'll be as popular as snow queen Elsa, then who knows. I've only purchased the Aurora doll at the Disney store and it went smoothly, but this is frozen we're talking about; and I still have to call my local Disney store to make sure they're getting the dolls and to see how many dolls they will get.

I am hoping that my Disney store is not insane or a bloodbath for the Frozen Fever dolls. I would love to get Elsa since I can't afford the snow queen one. The last set of Frozen dolls there wasn't a big line so I'm hoping for the same again! As for Aladdin I wasn't going to get him but after seeing all the photos here I must have him:hsd: thanks guys lol

About how many dolls did your store get approximately? I need to make sure what time I need to get there, and what place in line I'll have to be in to be gauge teed a doll.

I can see scalpers buying Elsa with that in mind. This Elsa is the closest thing that most people will ever get to resembling the Snow Queen Elsa doll (aside from the new designer one, but I am talking primarily 17" dolls here), so I have no doubt that she will be popular and will probably sell out before Anna. But still, I think almost everyone will have a chance to get one and I don't think the prices are going to skyrocket on the secondary market like some people are predicting they will. The Frozen Fever designs sell really well, but the original designs are still far more popular.

The only real problem with November 3rd is that Disney is deciding to release two new sets of tsum tsums, two new 17" dolls AND a new designer doll all on the same day. You have two different types of collectors colliding on the same day, so I think the stores are going to be packed and the lines are going to be long depending on where you live.

I'm not really worried about the Tsum Tsum madness that will happen on that day. I'm going to the Disney store at 8, so hopefully that will be enough for me to get Elsa.

Yea idk I think this release really depended on which stores you went to - I've seen places where there's a bunch of people with lounge chairs and whatnot before the sun rises and there were stores where it was empty and the person lining up was the only one there until 10min prior to store opening.

At least for the last Frozen release back in March, I went to my store at around 6am thinking I'd rather be safe and early, and there were already 6 people in line with equipments suggesting they pulled an overnight for it. And this was for the ones people were criticizing quite a bit for so I feel like FF could gather more crowd. I've been pretty fast with online released in the past so I'm sure I'll be fine with online just don't like the idea that I can't inspect the doll in person and have to risk receiving a damaged one and not have a replacement for it. But at the same time I don't know if I want to be sitting outside the mall for 10+ hours in cold November (even though SoCal doesn't get too cold) for it.

So, how does an in store release work? I've never been to one and I want to try for FF Anna and Elsa. Will everyone be lined up in one line, dolls and tsums alike? Is everyone orderly or is it madness like in that Arnold Schwarzenegger movie, Jingle All The Way, where crazy, cut -throat people are all over the place? Do cast members walk up to you and hand you a number card? Do you go to the register instead? Do you check out right away. I assume they take cash.
I guess I'm picturing myself going to the mall at 5:30ish and standing by the entrance to the mall, waiting to be let in by security because they are opening up for mall walkers at 7. I will then race around the corner to the DS because it is so close and park it right in front of the gate and stake my claim to THAT SPOT. Aaaaand, I don't see a single solitary person till 10am as they are lining up behind me in a calm, orderly fashion. After that, things are a mystery to me...actually, the whole thing is a mystery to me because I have never been to an in store release. So I'm just guessing things will probably not go down as I am invisioning them.
I just don't want chaos. And, I don't want to walk away empty handed.

Based on other people's experiences, it's different for any store. I've heard tales where releases were handled in an orderly fashion. I've also heard other stories where it's been complete and utter chaos.

At my store, my mom was there for the last 17" LE Doll release that fell on a Tsum Tsum day... and that was Jasmine. It was utter chaos. The crowd nearly killed each other trying to get to the tsum tsums. My mom had actually managed to pick up a Rajah tsum tsum, just to see if she could (I'm not a fan of them - much prefer the Itty Bittys myself). She actually had to go over to the Cast Member who was in the area to ask about the cards for Jasmine. Once she had that, she waited for quite a while before actually approaching the register to buy the doll, simply trying to wait out the Tsum Tsum crowd.

Now compare that to this week's release with Aladdin and Jafar, as well as those there to pick up Jasmine and their Aladdin blu-rays. A small crowd of between 10-15 people gathered outside the store, pretty much all of whom were collectors (with the exception of one shady looking couple who each got 2 Aladdins and 2 Jafars - one of each of the two of them) and were very happy to compare tales from previous releases.

So, yeah, everyone has a different experience and every release is different. As November 3rd is both a Tsum Tsum Frozen LE doll release day, I'd go in expecting madness and prepare to fight tooth and nail just to get even one of these dolls, let alone all 3 (Anna, Elsa, and the Designer Anna and Kristoff).

I'm not really worried about the Tsum Tsum release. I don't really collect Tsum tsums, but I have a few. When I went with my sister for inside out toys, they still had the inside out Tsum tsums and it was around 5. And they still had all of the characters, so I'm not very concerned about a huge crowd for the doll release. The one thing I hate though Is the opening ceremony, it's too time consuming; in the morning I'm not a very happy person, and on that day my nerves will be frazzled and stressed, and the last thing I need is more stalling so I can get my doll Lol!

Good to know, thanks for the info. It's a lot to think about...I'm a plan-it girl, so I've got to have my plan, and plan B, and C, etc... But in this case, I guess anything is possible.

Ok, gosh, this may sound dumb, but tell me about the opening ceremony...it it a Tsum Tsum thing?? I actually wouldn't mind getting the ones coming out on FF release day....but maybe its best to stay focused on one thing.

PrincessAurora13, the experience at your store sounds awful! I'm really nervous because the only store experience I've had was for Blue Aurora. It was pretty quiet and most of the people there were long time collectors who all knew each other. (I felt like such an odd one out that morning haha.) I arrived at about eight AM and was fifth in line.
But I just had a new store open near me and it's in a more popular location. (The other one was at a pretty old mall and the new is in a very popular shopping area in my town.) Since it's Frozen, and Tsum Tsum Tuesday, AND DFDC day, I'm terrified of being even just a few minutes late.
I'm planning on arriving around 4:30 AM and waiting it out. I believe this store had about 14 Jasmines (though I ordered online, not from the store.) So hopefully the allotment of Annas and Elsas is pretty high up. So I shouldn't be TOO far back in line at 4. But there's my other dilemma: at the Blue Aurora release, I was fifth and just barely got a good doll. I had to go through 3 dolls to get one that didn't have a very crushed box. I've wanted the FF dolls since the moment I saw leaked images the short! I'm just praying that I'll be able to get a good one, and so will everybody else who wants them.
