DisneyStore Limited Edition 17" Dolls Discussion
I'm not really worried about the Tsum Tsum release. I don't really collect Tsum tsums, but I have a few. When I went with my sister for inside out toys, they still had the inside out Tsum tsums and it was around 5. And they still had all of the characters, so I'm not very concerned about a huge crowd for the doll release. The one thing I hate though Is the opening ceremony, it's too time consuming; in the morning I'm not a very happy person, and on that day my nerves will be frazzled and stressed, and the last thing I need is more stalling so I can get my doll Lol!
Ok, gosh, this may sound dumb, but tell me about the opening ceremony...it it a Tsum Tsum thing?? I actually wouldn't mind getting the ones coming out on FF release day....but maybe its best to stay focused on one thing.
It's an opening that they do every morning to open the Disney store. When I was with my family to get the frozen classic dolls when there was a shortage, we had to go early on Saturday morning, then when the store opened, we had to wait since they had to do some sort of song or something, but now I heard they have ceremony where they have somebody open this lock with an oversized key. In a way I'm hoping I'm not first in line so I won't have to participate in it.(I'm very self-conscious, and I don't like doing goofy things in public) but since my dad will be there, and if I'm first in line, then I have no choice lol!

Received my jasmine today and the plastic cover has a big hole through it
that's horrible! what'll you do?
Heck, I'd open the store if no one else wanted to and there were not kids around (I know it's mainly for the kids). Do they still give away those nice Disney key's? My daughter got to do it a few years ago when she was 8 and she just values that thing. I'll probably frame it for herThe Cast Members usually try to grab a willing child to help them out with the store opening, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Unless no little kids are there that day. Tuesday, my store lucked out in that one little girl happened to be there that day.
I was wondering whether anybody on the forum has experience of buying dolls from either the Oxford Street or Harrods Disney Store? As there always seems to be so many problems buying them on the UK website I'm thinking of going to the store instead for the FF release as I desperately want Elsa! Do the London stores have many dolls and if so, how early would I need to queue? Also, which store would likely have more? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Get there (Oxford Street) by 7am. Any later and you probably won't get what you want. I might even suggest a bit earlier in the case of the Frozen Fever stuff, because Elsa. When Coronation Elsa came out I arrived just a little late at 8:30 (person in front got the last set!), so that was a bummer. Aurora was ok. Got there for maybe just after 7, so may have been cutting it close. Obviously, since Frozen, you'll need to get there by 7. Pre-Frozen, you could occasionally just rock up to the store a day after and they still had stock. A regretful day that was for me (wedding Rapunzel *sigh*).
Carrying them home, especially in October weather is a real hassle. Pray it doesn't rain (it started to for Aurora).
Thank you for your advice Ryu! One final questions........do you think I will have a better chance of getting Elsa in-store than I will via the Disney Store website?
This is why I wish our releases were one day in store then the next day online. I'm torn whether to try my nearest store or just go for it online. Hearing these issues with dolls being cancelled and gone before they are live are not leaving me confident with trying online.
