Too true *sigh*

One thing I'd love to do is do a kind of toy hunt video of the whole experience, but I'm no youtuber haha. I'd love to see everybody's photos and recounts of that crazy day.

This is me EVERY time I see a doll that I think is gorgeous and/or amazing but I know I don't need! I am very picky and specific about what dolls I do and don't get. That applies to the Frozen Fever and designer Anna and Kristoff for me right now!

I felt the same way with the le live action Cinderella doll. At first I thought she was ugly and grumpy looking, but after I saw the movie and noticed deboxed pics of her I found her very pretty, and she's one of my favorites.

My Aladdin doll is currently being prepared for shipping! He should be shipped out tomorrow or Saturday! I was really debating canceling him and getting him later on just so I could save some extra money, so there isn't anything I can do now. But I am pretty excited for him. I feel like I am going to love him in person.

I had a very similar reaction. She didn't look nearly as good as I thought she would, but that turned out to just be the Disney Store's crappy promo pics as always. The deboxed pictures and reviews I seen of her made her look gorgeous, especially where her dress poofed out (like in your lovely pictures you shared a few pages back). I don't think I will ever own her myself, but she is a much better looking doll than the original pictures made her out to be.

I'm just going to have to be prepared for the worst on the FF release. I hadn't considered the possibility of scalpers bringing their families along, but hopefully they won't be there by 8 in the morning. Just 19 more days till the release!!!

I'm finding out when the mall opens to walkers, at what door, and camping out by that door at least an hour before that time so I can rush upstairs to the store. XD Hopefully Modesto is a ghetto enough town to not have huge amounts of people doing the same thing. :p

okay tomorrow when i have to work all day my wedding set will finally arrive from the uk. i am so stressed. and could we all just look at the sold prices for the wedding set. like godd*** i've seen them go for 1500$ and even 1700$ like d***. anna en elsa will be a blood h*** drama thing. many people will go for elsa because they can't have her SQ dress for that amount of money so they will go for the cheaper also cute option. so we are in trouble lol

Aladdin is still available at the US DS site, I'm not really surprised. The facial sculpt and hair just look so goofy. However, I find myself being more drawn to the doll as I see more pics and video reviews. One youtube reviewer has a defective doll with 2 left upper arms attached so the right elbow can only bend unnaturally backwards. Hopefully an isolated issue, and not a sign of overall slipping quality control.

In Europe and the UK, do the dolls go on sale in store and online at the same time? Or in store that morning and online at midnight, like here in the US? If the former, thats AWFUL. At least if we don't manage to get them in stores we can try again that night.

That's so unfair… DS really needs to look into fixing Europe's doll experiences because that is just ridiculous. Why would both go on sale at the same time??? No sense.
 
You know, I was just doing a comparison between my Aladdin and Jasmine designer dolls and the pics of the Wedding Aladdin and Jasmine set, and it's more than just the Aladdin mold that got recycled. I'm pretty sure Aladdin's entire outfit is basically duplicated. Kind of a cheap move, considering what they charged for the 17" set.
 
As of half an hour ago, I got the blast off email from the DS for Aladdin. Now comes the wait. This is my first LE Disney doll and my first time paricipating during a release day. Thank you to everyone here, for being so welcoming and helpful. I've learned a lot. Yes I'll post photos when he arrives.

i tried online for Aurora, and that didn't work out so well, every time I added her to the cart, the site would glitch. I was lucky that my Disney store had 2 left for preorder.
 
My Jafar has shipped too, although they charged me twice because I also ordered something else, they split up the order and shipped things separately. I called and it has not been finalized with the bank yet but it's supposed to be fixed when the transaction goes through, uug lol
