I really hope they dont sell out :), of course i really wish disney would make it easier for international buyers. I emailed them about last months (cause you have to wait 30 days) and was told sold out :( Sigh

One last thing, I couldnt find info anywhere, I'm assuming this will be a 12 pin Series (ie one per month) anyone confirm or have insight on it?

Thanks

Pirates was there a through the evening. They did wristbands for no reason. Ariel is more popular, yes, but still I don't know if it will be some made rush unless we get more people like Prince Eric to post paranoid rush threads. There's 1000 of them, so 500 people. There were 1000 BatB PODMs on a day most people had off work and people that came at like 5-6am still got their two. The only reason to show up early for this pin is if you want to skip the long line and get out early, but when it's not a PODM and you're not comparing scenes the line will go 10x faster than a PODM line.

Just my $.02

I get the feeling that Disney is not going to allow lineups until around 6 am on the morning of the release. I also don't think this is going to be utter madness, but it might be a good gauge on how other popular pin releases in this series may go. I'm thinking, at the very least, it lasts until the evening. Pure speculation though. Pin traders go nuts over some pins for which I turn my nose up. :)

I think I got the Pirates the next day or the day after and there were still rows of them. Not a lot of day of, sell outs at DLR lately. I could be wrong.
I will probably go down Friday. I am willing to discuss pre-trades with anyone who can't get to the park. let me know. (obviously we wouldn't ship trades until I got my hands on the pins)

Well said. By promoting the distribution of wristbands, Disney creates hysteria amongst collectors and tries to recapture the buzz surrounding the PODM pins. I didn't collect the PODM pins but those were much more special and nicer looking than the POH pins. As said earlier, the Pirates POH in January was a bust and I don't forsee too many people getting in line at 6am for the Small World POH later this year. For now, it seems the buzz-o-meter ranking for the 2013 POH pins is about the same as the Windows to the Magic pins.

The extra money Disney is paying for CMs to be there to distribute wristbands isn't worth it unless they don't care about the hourly wage and care more about promoting future pin sales and maintaining a level of excitment around various releases no matter how popular they are (or aren't).

I think Disneyland instituted the wristbands to implement some sort of damage control. They must have been getting hammered with complaints about people buying WAY more than the two they were supposed to get with PODM releases. Plus all the running around to each of the pin buying outlets must have been getting dangerous, as well as the rumored out and out CM abuse if the pins were not there. Something had to be done and they did it. Is it perfect? No. But it does seem to work.

I'm not going to say that wristbanding is totally unnecessary for this series, but I do think it wise of them to be prepared and at least consistent with this series as far as wristbanding goes. And if they keep consistent with the last PODM release, they won't let anyone line up or get into the area before 6am on release day.

Just Disney being reactionary to last year's PoDM releases.

Nothing to see or worry about here as far as I'm concerned.

I really hope I can get mine too.... I don't think this pin will be as bad as PoDMs of course but yes Ariel is popular. I already camping out for DSF stuff this month... I'm not prepared to take even more time out of my schedule to camp out at DLR too. I don't have my pass either so I only have access to Pin Traders in DTD. I can be at DTD by 11:30am....I hope for the best and I really don't think all 1000 of them will be gone by that hour. It's off season too so the park/DTD opens later to my understanding, which should hopefully increase the chances of getting the pin.

Regardless of it being a LM pin, I seriously doubt anyone should be concerned about lining up the night before for this release. Disney is doing wristbands (in my opinion) to prevent the possibility of problems. I do not think the POH pins are going to become over night camp out pins. Stay home, stay cozy in your bed, and get there bright and early for an official line up rather than being outside all night dealing with cold weather, or bugs, or uncomfortable camping chairs. 6am is the usual official line up time for wristbands, plan for that Eric... And folks, do not fret, you will get your wristband and 2 pins.

Anyone here willing to help me out with getting this pin? I am willing to pay slightly above retail for your troubles and for any shipping costs of course.

Thanks so much in advance.
