Frozen apocalypse

I was beginning to become quite sad about our choice to scale back our collection, simplify our life BUT now this pending pin release of chaotic biblical plague proportions actually makes me really happy about deciding to scale back our collection to just our core pins and watch happily from the sidelines guarding my credit cards...I could not take the stress of this!!!

...I salute you all who will Brave (pun intended I love my Brave pins) the 6 days camping in line, wearing adult diapers and eating MRE's...DPF Purple Hearts all round as the battle in the streets of Hollywood is upon us!

LOL, no need to camp out anymore. I expect the last 500+ people to show up 10 minutes before the line cuts off
 
Probably the most epic Frozen pin release ever ! All the pins are absolutely perfectly...
Would love at least one, but it will never happen..
Frozen pins collector really suffer, I already gave up about collecting LE pins from the movie but this set... Just pure love !
Maybe one day, at least one of them will join me...

I don't know, the prices are very discouraging especially for those of us outside if the area. I so wish we had something at wdw that we could used to trade with those in Case. I probably will never get those frozen pins.
 
I saw that Frozen was coming back to the theater, so that had me hoping for a new marquee (Frozen Sing-a-Long), but I had no idea this was coming...

 



WOW!! Beautiful pins...

Soooo wanting Bolt, Dug and most of all the Olaf and Sven pin... sigh.

I don't think anyone saw this coming. Honestly, I have to admit, against my better judgement, that I would break my jumbo rule for that cast jumbo. WOW is that pin nice! While I'm not a fan of the Sven/Olaf (which is only LE300), I'm glad Hans/Anna is 400 and cast is 500, but I don't even think that will be enough >_<

I'm out of the area also, and at the beginning suffered from the same thought process. However, over the years I have been able to eventually acquire a number of my HTF pins.
 
I love the Frozen pins! They have such pretty designs! The Sven and Olaf is precious!! The jumbo, gorgeous! And our first Hans pin!! Yes!! (Now if only we got an Oaken...) I don't collect Marquees but that's cool too I'm doing my best to try and rally the troops to get some. I have crap luck with ticket pulls and the going rumor is around 2000 people are going to arrive so not even a 50/50 shot .... but maybe with enough people in our group... sigh. May the odds be ever in your favor! I will be THRILLED beyond measure if I get just even 1 set of the pins (heck, even any ticket number at 500 or below as I love that jumbo!) but if by some miracle my group gets multiples (my friends don't collect pins just me) I'll be putting them up for trade or auction here for fellow members!

Currently with only 9 pins to my name I collect Frozen and Ariel.

AKA the most popular princess and movie right now.

I want a lot of Ariel stuff, the grail is the Art of Ariel pin or Ariel Seasons (ouch my wallet).

I just want 1 really nice and impressive pin to my name
 
I for one am super excited for the Frozen release!! I just hope I can manage to get them all cause they all look so beautiful!!! I wish I didn't give up my dog collection now too cause the dog tags are so pretty!



As I collect both of those princesses, you have to be patient. Not just with them, but with any hobby like this one. Sometimes you're lucky and you find them at a good price, other times you just meet the right people that want pins you're offering. I know NOW they seem impossible and unattainable, but if you practice patience you'll get them sooner than later. I would suggest (since you're gunning for hard / rare / expensive pins) that you focus on ONE at a time. That way it's not as overwhelming and you can appreciate them more when you do manage to get one.
 

I've got 2 other collections going for me, I definitely know the whole waiting game. It's so frustrating as a newbie to see this happening, when as a collector in something else for a good amount of years have only recently seen it starting to happen
 
Are people really allowed to camp out for the frozen pins?? I thought you weren't allowed to line up until the day of? I'm moving to irvine ca and I've never been to one of these releases...........I'm nervous to even try for The Frozen pins for my first time
