DSF January Pins!

If they make a tangled BT pin I will fly my butt out to LA and wait in line for a month to get it.

I'm excited for the Peter Pan pins!! They all look sooooooooo awesome!!! Looks like I'll be camping out at DSF to buy these beauties

well I think everyone got off lightly with the BT pins as when they were shown at Mickeys Circus only 3 were shown and that raised the alarm maybe a tangled one but then with them showing the Mickey one I bet people sighed and thought thank god no surprise release BT XD

Okay, I have a question. I desperately want the Peter Pan marquee, but I've never been to Disney Soda Fountain for a release, or even for a sundae. Do you think there will be people camping out for the Peter Pan pins? How fast do you think they'll sell out?

Also, is there a limit as to how many pins one person can buy? I probably wouldn't want to buy more than two (one for myself, and one for a trader) - I'm just curious.

Not sure if anyone will camp out for peter pan but i think theyll hand out wristbands which means youll have to go line up a day before just to get a wristband which pretty much guarantees you a spot in line if you show up the day of the release on time. As for selling out everyone is limited to two of each pin so if a pin is LE300 your gonna wanna be somewhere within the first 150 people in line just in case. I dont think ive ever seen marquees last longer than a day or two.

i just noticed this... the peter pan pins, the hindged ones, have Tink on the outside frame for every one of them, like the NBC books had jack. Why do they do this???? Now the pins won't be as sought after because from the front, owning one is like owning them all. The NBC hinged books should have been phenominal traders, but because they all looked the same fewer people want them. and it is TINK on the front, die hard peterpan fans aren't gonna love that much.

Oh I am so excited for the release this weekend! I am going to LA for work and making DSF my stop after my meetings.
Will anyone else be going? I am not sure what time to get there Thursday morning for the wristbands. Any idea/suggestions about what time to arrive?

oh that is probably a good thing then! I feel like this is going to be a popular one!
Can someone tell me where the special parking area is… I always give up and park at the mall… but if I'm gonna be there a while that means $$$.

There is street parking a few blocks away. Does anyone know if the lot directly behind the El Capitan is a pay lot or is it business/employee parking? I've seen people park there before but I also remember one release where the DSF staff was telling people parked there to move their cars or be towed. If you park at Hollywood and Highland the daily max is $10 so it's not too bad.

You can park at the multi-level garage that's behind the DSF. Any of the other lots are also pay lots if they are open to the public, so as long as there's an attendant there to take your money, you are good. Occasionally an entire lot will be rented out for an event, so that might be what happened during that one release. Also, if you park in the middle of the night and there's no one watching the lot, they may 'clear' the lot at the beginning of the work day... I wouldn't park in any lot behind the building unless a parking attendant tells you it's okay.

[Edit]: Forget Orange, it's no parking until 8am...

The parking garage behind DSF has a $20 daily maximum. Not sure if that's 24 hours, or by calender day, so you may want to get clarification on that if you come before midnight.

The big parking lot directly behind DSF is $20-25 for overnight, and they won't tow if you have the ticket on your dashboard.

If the H&H structure is only $10, I'd just go there, sounds like a much better deal...

Omg yes. Sorry my meetings are Thursday so I meant after that… I am a space cadet today jeez!
You can get there Thursday morning, but aren't the wristband distributed on Friday morning?

K $10 is doable! Thanks for the tips!
I'm thinking I'll get there at 4… should be fine if it is raining… Keeping my fingers crossed!

DSF may put up their shade structures if they can... They aren't sure if they survived being up all summer last year or not, but they were looking into it while I was in there...

They have all the pins on display already...
