DSF release guidelines for June 1 2013 release
It says "highest voucher number", that means if the group has 5, 10, 15 and 20 then you can each pay individually in voucher number line order, or get together with "20" and pay together.
I am also perplexed why they chose to do 200 vouchers, as opposed to 150 bc of the edition size. It will be interesting to see how this new system will turn out, give that the #'s are kinda off. I must admit I'm now nervous/skeptical of arriving too early, in the fear I will somehow draw #151-200 bc of my luck :facepalm: lol I hope to shoot for being in the middle of the line.
And yes the root issue is the edition size of these pins are just too low. Plain and simple. Hopefully this new system will exacerbate that fact and we'll see LE 500/750s soon. It's a good start that the 4th of July pins are LE400, although I'm not sure if that was coordinated to the fourth of July (4=400) or they're finally understanding and trying to raise edition sizes to see how it goes...

Let's wait and see how this works. It seemed that a lottery system was the most supported idea on DPF so let's see whether proof was in the pudding or not. I do think the LE size should be increased but I think that of every popular pin in the world. At the moment, I think we need to see if this causes problems or not. I can see there being a problem with "the first 200 in line getting to get a chance" but if they made it 1 per person, they could have up to 400 people in line who could get a chance.
:: ponders ::
What if only 100 people show up, and someone draws #196?
For any future BT releases, I totally agree!I think this will work...I think it would work best with 300 wristbands though.
IF you were there when we were talking to Theresa about random wristbands for larger releases. There has been 2 huge releases and found that there are a guaranteed 300 that show up at large popular releases at each release with a few (20-30) over that amount. So the base is 300. (I would think 400 random wristbands for these type of Events). For a smaller popular release like this one, about 100 do a sleepover with the next 75 wandering in the outside line from 11pm to 4am. Then after 5am everyone else shows up for the leftovers and trades? With 2 per person and an LE 300, the rush for the 1 - 150 is set with a sleep over. The last release with the Bottles, 150 were in line around 6am.
Yet again, root issue is that they have grown out of their low LE sizes and need to increase them. I'm not getting why they are reluctant to sell more product. Perplexing, indeed.
I suspect people are in their ear about how it would destroy the demand for DSF pins, and then there would be no lines, and everything would end up in the $4 bin.
Which LE 500 DSF pins sit on the shelves?
