LOL, I think she meant if you consider the exchange rate and shipping from Japan to the US, that's probably as close to "cost" as you can get it!

Sis hasn't decided whether she wants a TDS Duffy too. The ones here in the US are cute, but did you know the US Duffys are made in Vietnam and the TDS Duffys are made in China?!
 
I didn't get the whole Duffy thing until my granddaughter wanted to meet him in Epcot last Dec. as we were in line, read the story of him and it was cute! She LOVED him! She got one for Christmas and took him on our Disney cruise in Jan. and yes, we are collecting his pins! She checks out everyone's lanyard for him!
 
I can personally go to dlr and get you a duffy, it might be easier if you go to your disneystore however most stores got their own duffy display so you could pick your very own if you want as well.

So cute!!! I have yet to meet duffy, but at Epcot I went in the whole duffy store! I loved it! I wish I could go on a Disney cruise! I am so jealous!

I am going to get the Duffy from my local Disney store. Where he is made doesn't really matter to me! :3

When I have the funds to buy Shellie May I may message you, but I don't see that happening for a long time... but I know some other members here may want to purchase one!!

Wait, what? There is a Duffy store in EPCOT?! DO TELL.

I never met Duffy because I figured I could get in on some Duffy action in EPCOT with little wait time. But I did shell out some wait time for this!

Sooooooooooo cuteee!!!! Yeah I think its a Duffy store... its right across from the Duffy meet and great area... it has mickey and minnie with duffy on the front... and It has more duffy merchandise than the other stores I went into... but it still has general merch also, pins, mugs, shirts, etc.

Err, they're not...I just checked my tag on my Shellie May, and it definitely says "Made in Vietnam". I was curious because of the tension between China and Japan, and the growing manufacturing in Vietnam, so I checked when I got my last batch of Sweet Duffy stuff in. :) They probably were made in China at one point, but not for a while now.

Yep! But only for the current event/season (like, right now, Sweet Duffy), and the long-term merchandise. So, basically, whatever you could find on their shelves at any given time. Oh, and it's in Japanese, but you can guess by the icons what leads you where, and look at the images- there's not a lot of writing.

Yes, the Duffy store is in Cape Cod...it's called Aunt Peggy's, and it's a scary, scary place...seriously, you can almost die in there during busy Park days.

I have a ton of pictures from our trips...I eventually should get those up.
 
I think he's so cute, my boyfriend absolutely hates him though. So our last trip, a month ago, he wouldn't let me collect the new HM duffys :( I have managed to get two Duffy pins for my collection though, bought them when he wasn't looking ;)

AW! I can understand the boyfriend sitch! My boyfriend did not understand my pinning... but when we went to disney I made him wear a lanyard and he had a lot of fun! He collects vinylmation... so he likes the vinylmation pins, and star wars pins. I got him the star wars lanyard set for our 2 year anniversary before the trip. :) He didnt wanna trade the pins it came with so I had to give him some of my HM pins to trade! haha!

Ah, a friend showed me his Duffy and it says 'Made in China" so it must be a few years old (Duffy that is).

I do NOT want the chasers... (I don't like them) but the completer's I am interested in. :D
 
I have Duffy pin #81333 (he is in a sailor suit) still on the card that would be happy to just send you. I haven't had much luck in trading him and would be happy to see him go to a good home :). That's if you don't already have him. PM your address and he is yours.
