Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
Welp, there goes my resolve; I finally watched the Yahoo clip (and loved it). I find it so hard not to watch these teasers because on one hand I want to be surprised when I see the movie - and on the other, I want to get giddy and excited now with watching and getting my hands on whatever I can find Frozen-related. *sigh* Such dilemmas. XD

As for the doll.... I CAN'T WAIT! She's beautiful so far, but imagine the high-res pics coming? I'm in love. Though now I'm dying to see Anna... hint hint, Disney!

Hey guys maybe it would be a good idea to stop reading the Facebook posts because everyone is getting different information from their CMs which is not really helping. We all know that there were two likely dates Oct 28 and Nov 4, it is more likely that it will be Nov 4 instead of Oct 28 because the dolls were not delivered to the Disney Stores on Friday. Hopefully Disney will release more information closer to the date of release but for now I wouldnt even bother with what anyone else is saying on Facebook as it will result in confusion and you don't even know how credible that information is.

Also whilst the idea of Elsa being released in Winter and Anna in Spring is a cute idea I find this very unlikely. As mentioned by MountedArcherPrincess the UK site has already created the website for the doll. If the doll was not going to be released until next year then they wouldnt have bothered with it now. However there is the possibility that Anna will be released for preorder the same time that Elsa is released and will not be available until next year. That does sound more likely because people have already seen what Anna looks like so we know that the doll has already been produced but again dont forget the UK doesnt do preorders therefore I see it more likely that we will be getting the dolls released within November to coincide with the movie release. Futhermore why would Disney release Elsa way in advance over Anna when Anna is clearly the main character of the movie? I know they market the two together in terms of merchandise but have you seen the trailers? We have seen more of Anna, Olaf and Kristoff than we have any other characters. So if you were just a normal mom or dad in the movie watching the trailer with your child wouldnt you think that those three were the main characters with Elsa, Hans and Sven (to a lesser extent) being secondary.

Finally Disney never said anything about Anna representing Spring, it could just be a coincidence that she is in green (and really she is only in the coronation dress for the beginning of the movie, the rest of which she is in her snow gear outfit). I think what is just happening is that with all this lack of information people are reading into things way too much. That's great for speculation but not when it starts causing confusion, I think it would just be smart to just check the Disney Store website this Monday night and again next week, also check back in on the forum every now and then to see if there is any further information released.

I agree Polaris. All of the guessing may be fun for some, but I am concerned that it will cause a lot of confusion and unnecessary stress. I plan to check the website at the right times and to check on here often for credible information. A lot of people on the Facebook page are ill informed. I also found some of there lewd comments after not getting a doll to be ridiculous. I have nothing against Facebook, but please don't base your knowledge off of random conjecture. I have nothing against Facebook BTW, but this forum has never steered me wrong for information, so I trust the people on here.

Frozen merch question: Is there a difference between the classic Elsa and Anna dolls being sold at the Disney Store right now and the D23 combo pack dolls on Ebay? These would be gifts for my daughters so packaging is not a concern. Are the actual dolls inside different?

No the only difference is that the set with the two dolls was exclusive to the D23 expo. However there is nothing different about the dolls other than the aesthetics of coming in one box rather than in their own separate boxes.

With the prices being asked on ebay it is not worth you might as well just buy both individually rather than pay the overpriced asking price on ebay. Especially if they are just going to be opened and played with.

Just in case this was directed to me I would like to kindly comment.
It is true I'm new to this forum so I'm quickly learning the value of fellowship with other collectors being that I was a loner in my house when it came to appreciation of collecting, and I hope that I'm not taking the wrong way when I openly express thoughts to the forum. My intentions were not and never will be to ill inform or cause confusion for anyone else bc I wouldnt want anyone to purposely commit those crimes on me.
I do agree Facebook is not the most credible reference but it has some benefits like the first posted picture to this forum of LE Elsa was from a post to Facebook. But that may be where good info stops and only scrambled thoughts are left. My spring/winter comparisons were just my thoughts and how I would've compared the sisters (merely based on my interpretation of my plot of Frozen) and how i would have released them...I have no idea what Disney thoughts are for if I did I would know the exact release dates...again any of my posts are just my thoughts and all posts are grains of salt other then Disney official posts
Sorry if too blunt

Hi Vandinni, please dont think that anything was directed at you as you are not the first and only person to have brought things up from Facebook and I am pretty sure you were not intending to confuse people with your thoughts. You have every right to post whatever you want on the forum as it an open forum and is how we are able to get our information. I was just merely pointing out that in general people should maybe calm down a bit and maybe think first about where their information is coming from and checking it against the facts that we already know. Doing so would already debunk quite a lot of theories already being raised on facebook and avoid confusion. Also yes Facebook has given us the image for LE Elsa but like you said that is probably where the good info stops and that doesnt mean that the information from there is always credible.

One of the Facebook posts stating that the dolls are to go on display November 20th might be me. Today, a CM who has never steered me wrong told me that they are to go on display November 20th and offered to let me read the post. I should have, but was in a rush!!! Ultimately, who knows!!! I would love to get them sooner!!! I guess I will be staying up quite a bit the next few weeks, just in case!!! I have been told that Anna is by far the "favorite" of most in her vibrant green coronation dress!!! Multiple CMs have told me they they are a must!!! I wonder if maybe we are getting one on November 4th and another on November 20th. That could be a reason for all the crazy dates. Just an idea.

I barely read the facebook pages, too confusing and agree all these dates are crazy. Now Nov. 20th is a potential date? One of the times I asked I was told the 4th, so I am trusting that one of them will be released on that date. I will go nuts if they don't come out next week. :banghead:

The only difference is on the D23 set Anna's skirt is not hemed. So it's just cut fabric that's not sewn. Other wise the dolls are identical

My Facebook comment was absolutely not directed at anyone at all. I was merely meaning that it can have so much information that the good and the bad are mixed together. I am so sorry if anyone feels offended. That was absolutely not my point. Also, thanks for the info on the classic dolls. Since they are just for two little girls, I'll go with the cheaper ones and save the special D23 packaged ones for others.

I just have to sit back and laugh as I'm on the verge of lunacy! Lol...seems like everything has gone mad in the collecting world right now. And as nothing has been confirmed right now, my tail is staying in bed tonight! If I miss out, oh well.

Maybe I'm overly optimistic but I truly believe that if you want the Frozen LE dolls, you'll get them. the general public doesn't know about the characters to pay $100 for the dolls. Casual collectors just got hit with 3 little mermaid dolls, and 5 designer sets which ended only 2 weeks ago. Even on our own site and the facebook pages, there are ppl saying they are passing on these.

The lack of info is frustrating but I'm almost positive they won't be impossible to get. I asked my CM yesterday by the way; she had no clue about the dolls. I hope canada gets them...

Totally agree with your message !

I really hope so too! I will have to ask my Eaton Center or Yorkdale location about the dolls.

I keep telling myself the same thing, but at the same time the edition size for these dolls is very small not to mention that the scalpers lurk these threads and know their is an interest in these dolls, although they will buy anything to try and make a profit, the edition size of the dolls is what worries me. Not too much we can do but wait, the wait is boring though.

If we do have longer to wait, I agree, saving up more money is a good thing! Plus, I'm not too worried about staying up every Sunday until Monday at midnight! (I'm stuck at home anyway for the next couple of months due to health issues) So never fear! If they release something I will definitely post the links asap!!

I think we will all be able to get the dollies we really want!

Like its been mentioned, these are new characters so more than likely they won't sell out as fast. It took Merida and Queen Elinor forever to sell out and there was 2500 of them. I know they were more money but still.

Plus, to be honest, I think the reason Eric and Ursula sold out so fast because there were more flippers buying those dolls. Gosh on eBay Eric is selling for like $140 and Ursula is around the same....I would think flippers wouldn't take as great of a risk on these dolls since they are brand new characters, which could probably end up the same for them. I mean they are losing money on Eric and Ursula big time.

Hey Ya'll I have gotten several oddly phrased messages asking for links to the LE Frozen doll pages (which I don't have obviously). I don't know if these are legit or not, but please keep an eye out. Flippers are likely aware and waiting for this release as much as we are or even more. If they think they can make a profit they will bite, it is mostly only collectors who are exhausted from the recent dolly onslaught. And because we've had some time away from the rush, more people are looking forward to these and only these dolls. Let's be cautious, act fast, and support each other on this release.

Not to scare anyone, but LE dolls have become a hot ticket, I don't think it is a good idea to compare sell out times to Brave or past dolls as the line keeps rising in popularity and it being promoted on the ubiquitous Facebook. All that being said, I appreciate the link fairies and their help and I'm sending pixie dust to everyone here who wants to get these beauties.
